Summary[]
Bruce Wayne protects the city of Gotham as the amazing vigilante Batman, fighting alongside his surrogate son and steadfast companion: Dick Grayson, known by many as Robin, the Boy Wonder. Across Jiro Kuwata's "Bat-Manga," the Batman and his young partner clashed with many villains: from the manga's version of Clayface to original members of the rogues gallery, like Planet King, The Human Ball, and many more, using his wits and strength to win the day.
Powers and Stats[]
Tier: 9-B, higher with Bazooka
Name: Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman
Origin: Jiro Kuwata's Bat-Manga
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, seems to be in his Thirties or so
Classification: Human
Powers and Abilities:
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics (See Attack Potency, Speed, and Durability)
- Superhuman Athleticism (Leapt several feet into the air from a sitting position. Can leap several stories, even wall jumping between buildings)
- Indomitable Will (Hung onto life with the "strength of righteousness" after being shot)
- Weapon Mastery (with Batarangs - he has demonstrated great accuracy with them)
- Hand-to-Hand Combat Mastery (Is a trained fighter, being capable of going toe-to-toe with and defeating the Hangman, a professional fighter)
- Acrobatics (Can do acrobatic maneuvers to avoid attacks, such as when he nimbly avoided a robot's strike and used the momentum of said dodge to slam a steel girder into said robot, and swung around a lamppost to kick a foe after said foe sent him flying)
- Preparation (Made a trap to subdue the Human Ball, spent three days preparing for a fight, specifically rigging traps to help him defeat Go-Go, and prepared an irradiated solution to make ghosts easier to track)
- Paralysis Inducement (with the Batrope)
- Sleep Manipulation (Uses tranquilizer needles and "knockout balls")
- Ice Manipulation (Wields a "freeze gun")
- Fire Manipulation (Uses a torch to crack safes)
- Underwater Breathing (Always carries a rebreather)
- Smoke Manipulation (Uses tear gas bombs, and Robin used a smoke bomb which he was presumably given by Batman)
With Preparation, he can utilize:
- Light Manipulation and Extreme Cold (Used light and freezing waves to cancel out the power of the Human Ball's suit)
- Smoke Manipulation (The Batmobile can release a smokescreen)
- Fire Manipulation (Used an incendiary disk on a Kaiju)
- Sleep Manipulation (The Batcopter fires potent anesthetic bombs)
- Explosion Manipulation (Planted explosives to destroy the entrance to a cave)
- Flight (with the Bat-copter)
Attack Potency: Wall Level (Traded blows with and eventually defeated the Hangman, who could harm him as well as throw Robin hard enough to send him through a wood door (which requires about this much energy). Harmed the Professor, who could rip prison bars off their hinges and bend a streetlight with a punch. Smashed through a wooden door), possibly higher physically (Scales somewhat to the Professor, who had the strength of Karnak - Karnak was stated to have destroyed buildings and bridges, but considering the fact that Karnak had Batman’s intelligence and the destruction is depicted as being explosions, it seems to be moreso implied that he built bombs to destroy these structures), higher with his Bazooka, and at least Small Building Level with Explosives (Destroyed the entrance to a cave)
Speed: At least Subsonic, if not Supersonic (Has dodged bullets from machine guns, and even claims that dodging pistol fire is easy for him - proceeding to do so immediately after), possibly far higher (This panel could be interpreted as him dodging this beam, which is called a ray of light, but it's also vague enough in its framing to plausibly be interpreted as his foe simply missing him with the beam), and Subsonic attack speed with his Bazooka (Even early rocket launchers had muzzle velocities of 82 m/s, or about 183 miles per hour)
Lifting Strength: Peak Human (Threw a wooden table across a room)
Striking Strength: Wall Class
Durability: Wall Level (Should be capable of withstanding his own physical power. Took several blows from the Ghost, who could send Robin through a wooden door with a punch - requiring approximately this much energy. Shrugged off an alien's attack, which took the form of telekinetically throwing an operating table at him - this attack may compare to the power of the Alien's other attacks, which can blast apart a wall. Took a bodyslam from Clayface, who can slam through a wall)
Stamina: At least Peak Human (Kept fighting, even making large leaps, after being shot in a spot that was thought to genuinely threaten his life. Searched for Clayface for a week straight, without even a wink of sleep)
Range: Standard Melee Range physically
- Tens of Meters with Batarangs (Mid-level athletes compete in boomerang-throwing competitions where they're expected to throw their boomerangs 50 meters)
- Tens of Meters with Smoke Bombs/Knockout Bombs/Incendiary Disks (Should be comparable to the average soldier, who can throw grenades 25 to 40 meters)
- Several Meters with the Batrope (Ensnared a robot from several meters away)
- At least Several Meters with his Freeze Gun (Froze a spider monster from several meters away)
- At least Tens of Meters with Anaesthetic Bombs (Fired that far to hit a Kaiju)
- Hundreds of Meters with his Bazooka (Even the earliest bazookas had effective ranges that exceeded 100 meters)
Standard Equipment:
- Batarangs: Bat-shaped boomerang blades that can be thrown to knock enemies out or slice through cables.
- Batrope: A strong cable that can be used to intercept and restrain foes, as well as move things from a distance.
- Tranquilizer Needles: Needles that inject a powerful anesthetic, subduing foes.
- Knockout Bomb: A capsule that, upon impact, secretes plumes of potent knockout gas.
- Freeze Gun: A gun-shaped gadget that fires a potent energy beam, freezing anything it comes in contact with.
- Tear Gas: From wikipedia - "Tear gas, also known as a lachrymator agent or lachrymator (from Latin lacrima 'tear'), sometimes colloquially known as "mace" after the early commercial aerosol, is a chemical weapon that stimulates the nerves of the lacrimal gland in the eye to produce tears. In addition, it can cause severe eye and respiratory pain, skin irritation, bleeding, and blindness."
- Torch: A safecracking torch - a handheld gadget that releases a small jet of potent flame to burn through metal or ice.
- Rebreather: An apparatus Batman can place over his mouth while underwater, providing him with oxygen.
- Optional Equipment:
- Batmobile: A super-fast car outfitted for Batman’s war on crime, capable of emitting a smokescreen.
- Batcopter: A helicopter with a bulletproof windshield, capable of firing anaesthetic bombs.
- Smoke Grenade: Self-explanatory.
- Incendiary Disk: A disk that ignites when thrown, setting whatever it touches on fire.
- See the abilities listed under Preparation above
Intelligence: At least Gifted, with notable combat prowess (Specifically sought after by the Gorilla for his intelligence, and frequently picks apart the plans of and science behind his villains)
Weaknesses: Refuses to kill. Otherwise, normal human weaknesses.
Note: Batman wouldn’t have superhuman stamina due to surviving being frozen by Go-Go - it doesn’t appear as if he himself was frozen, rather that he was trapped in a “cage” of ice that contained oxygen he could use to fuel his torch.
