Policy Questions
1) Q: Why doesn’t CSAP have a Boundless tier?
A: The term "boundless" is misleading, and beyond that, there isn’t really a need for a tier beyond 1-S. Hypothetically speaking, if we were to add a tier above 1-S, we would more than likely call it Complex Extraversal as we don’t believe that Boundless is an apt term for a tier since the omnipotence it implies is impossible to prove.
2) Q: Why does CSAP use Inaccessible speed?
A: Inaccessible speed follows logically as the highest end of what others would call Infinite speed while coming before Immeasurable speed. To quantify for Infinite speed, you must move an infinite distance in X>0 time; this would be slower than someone who could move ANY distance in zero time.
3) Q: Why don’t you guys do CRTs?
A: We don’t entertain the idea of us having a supreme interpretation of any fiction; we allow anyone to make any page they’d like with whatever interpretation, as long as it complies with our formatting standards.
4) Q: Why is Beyond-Dimensional Existence 1-A specifically/Where is the Low 1-A tier?
A: VSBW has recently revised their tiering system with the assumption that R>F and other means of qualitative superiority are inherently superior to all measurements of dimensionality/space regardless of how big or complex the measurements are. More specifically, they defined qualitative superiority over baseline reality as being the baseline for 1-A and Beyond-Dimensional Physiology as being the baseline for Low 1-A. We've chosen not to take any official stance on what tiers are granted by qualitative superiority as to allow people more freedom in making their profiles. Regarding our Low 1-A, we simply don't believe that it's necessary to have one at the moment. We previously separated Low 1-A and 1-A by defining Low 1-A as transcending dimensionality and 1-A as transcending the concept of space. This was later revised to defining 1-A as transcending the concept of dimensionality and leaving Low 1-A as it was, due to a general agreement that the gap between the two concepts was not big enough to warrant a tier difference. Finally, Low 1-A and 1-A were merged for two different reasons: First and foremost: Dimensionality is already a concept, and as such, one could argue that any statement concerning "the concept of" dimensionality is itself referring to dimensionality alone. The second reason, however, is that even in the cases where you were to choose to create a distinction between these phrases, the gap between them would again not be large enough to consider separating them by different tiers.
5) Q: OK, but what IS R>F/Where does it scale?
A: That's a good question, and as stated previously, we don't want to take any official stance on where these things scale relative to dimensional measure. However, what we can do is at least explain the concept. R>F, or "Reality over Fiction" is a concept in powerscaling which compares the relationship between two objects in a verse that are in a sense considered analogous to the relationship between reality and fiction. Naturally, fiction in this analogy is considered inferior to reality due to the fact that it's fiction. No matter how powerful he may be in his own setting, Superman can never reach out of the confines of fiction and punch the reader or author. It's important to note, however, that this is just an analogy, and R>F is not intended to be a 1:1 correlation with the relationship between reality and fiction in actuality. Historically speaking, R>F has been likened to a higher-dimensional difference between the two objects in the comparison. Similar to how the drawings on a paper or the pixels on a screen are often considered "2D" compared to us, the fiction would be considered "flat" by comparison to the reality. However, VSBW and a few other sites have argued that this comparison is not good enough to be considered an actual R>F relationship, and that if it was truly a qualitative difference, that would mean that the reality is inherently transcendent to the fiction in every sense, similar to how something that's Outerversal completely transcends anything that is limited by dimensionality. Ultimately, these interpretations are subjective, and it's up for debate as to which is more reasonable than the other.
6) Q: Where are High and Low 1-S?
A: We do not currently have two more benchmarks for the other 1-S tiers, nor do we predict a need for any more. If in the future, we need to expand on what we call baseline Extraversal, that tier will probably end up being moved to a hypothetical Low 1-S for maximum expansion room.
6) Q: Where are your forums?
A: Fandom got rid of the forums a while back, but there are alternative means for discussing things, such as the Discuss panels or our Discord server.
7) Q: Why can't I just copy and paste VSB profiles? They copy you guys all the time!
A: While they may copy some of our profiles, we don't exactly believe that you should return the favor, especially given the dogma that erodes their pages over time and the fact that we don't really want to be accused of plagiarism.
8) Q: This page has barely any evidence/the evidence is really weak, how/why is this allowed?
A: In order to "require" evidence, we would have to force a stance on what actually counts as evidence for any specific verse, which is a highly difficult endeavor, especially given the different nature of certain verses and what each verse treats as "canon".
