Character Stats and Profiles Wiki

In the past, we have encouraged users to create new pages for powers and abilities they thought the wiki lacked. However, as of now, we want new pages to be approved by the staff, meaning that new powers and abilities pages must be suggested. This can be done in our official Discord server in the suggestion channel, or messaged to a staff member. Of course, users can always create blogs about powers and abilities to include in their profiles if they don't want to attempt creating official pages. Linking to other wikis' powers and abilities pages is also permitted.

Kby vs zero by mikoto chan-d4fs40r

Zero (Kirby series) is a very powerful user of this power, being able to corrupt entire planets.

Summary[]

Corruption is the ability to corrupt and infect other beings, making them into a different state of being and eroding their morality to the point of being evil. This power is very similar to Mind Manipulation, Possession and Morality Manipulation but, unlike those abilities, the user doesn't have to do anything once a being is corrupted and can freely use other attacks. It is possible to corrupt a being with physical contact, mental abilities or even with words and actions (the last two methods are the hardest to use and usually require a lot of time to fully corrupt a being).

Applications[]

  • Corrupt a being into becoming evil, making them do evil things that they wouldn't otherwise do on their own.
  • Change the personality of a certain being.
  • Emotion Augmentation to make someone feel stronger emotions of hate and anger.
  • Some beings can even corrupt multiple beings at once and can corrode the very environment.
  • Corrupt a being to become their follower.
  • Change the physical aspect of the target.

Types[]

  • Type 1: "Natural" Corruption: Despite what the name implies, this isn't natural in a nature sense, but in a non-supernatural sense, as in no powers are needed. Users of this type can use their words or actions to effect their targets, however this normally takes time. Users of this also typically wield type 1 Madness Manipulation and Social Influencing.
    • Limits: Characters with high enough intelligence or are knowledgeable of mind-games can render this method useless. This can also be ineffective against characters that can't be reasoned with or are mindless/non-sentient.
  • Type 2: Physical Corruption: Users of this type can corrupt those they want to corrupt through physical means, such as consumption of a part of the user, physical touch, biting, etc. In some cases this also applies through diseases, this affects the physical body of the victim but any non-physical aspect of the victim is left untouched.
    • Limits: Characters that don't have physical bodies can be immune to this ability. Inorganic beings like living dolls and robots can remain unaffected by this ability.
  • Type 3: Non-Physical Corruption: Users of this type are able to corrupt foes through non-physical means or powers, making them able to corrupt those from a distance. This can also mean corrupting non-physical aspects of their targets, like their soul, bypassing conventional durability. In some cases they are even capable of corrupting things like concepts.
    • Limits: Characters that don't have non-physical aspects like souls or consciousnesses can likely be immune to this type simply because they don't have anything to corrupt. Beings that are nonexistent, don't have a concept or have a general resistance to things like Soul Manipulation and Conceptual Manipulation can bypass this ability.

General Limitations[]

  • Beings with a strong willpower or with resistance to mental attacks may be able to resist it.
  • Beings with a very pure heart may not be corrupted.
  • A user of Purification can cleanse corruption from a person.
  • In some cases this power does not fully allow the user to control those affected, the nature of those corrupted may cause them to betray the user.
  • Already corrupted beings can likely render this ability useless, or at least give them a resistance to the ability.
