Summary[]
Crash Bandicoot is the main protagonist of the titular character of franchise. He is a genetically enhanced bandicoot mutated by the evil scientist Dr. Neo Cortex and was originally made to be part of Cortex's army of mutants, but after the Cortex Vortex failed to mind-control him, Crash fled from his castle. Upon realizing Tawna was held captive, he traveled across islands to save Tawna and halt Cortex's plan, defeating his other experiments and allies on the way. Afterwards, Crash lives on Wumpa Island with his sister, Coco, a mask spirit Aku Aku that serves as his and Coco's father figure, and a reformed ally, Crunch, usually rising up to the task whenever a crisis is averted by Cortex or other threats.
General Information, Powers, Abilities, and Statistics[]
Tier: At least High 1-C, Possibly High 1-B
Name: Crash Bandicoot
Origin: Crash Bandicoot (Series)
Gender: Male
Age: Likely around his teens
Classification: Mutated Eastern Barred Bandicoot
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Self-Sustenance (Type 1 (Can breathe in space)), Martial Arts (Skilled in Hand-to-Hand Combat), Weapon (Can wield a Bazooka that shoots Wumpa Fruit), Stealth (In Crash Twinsanity, Crash has actually shown being rather keen in using his environments to his advantage hiding from tribes well enough to swiftly cause a ruckus killing off hogs and still able to sneak past their surveillances successfully unseen. Has shown doing so again with more uptight guards of Madame Amberley's school, consistently rinses and repeats with another guard, and then does so again all without breaking a sweat), and Vehicular Mastery (Capable of piloting go-karts, jet packs, an airplane, a tank, a submarine, a robot dragonfly, helicopter packs, a motorized surfboard, a jeep, and mechs skillfully), Acrobatics (Can perform a double jump, somersaults, a slide, and a wall jump. Is referred to as very agile), Non-Physical Interaction (Can capture ghosts in Nina's nightmare. Can attack and harm Crunch while he was empowered by Wa-Wa, turning his entire body into water), Extrasensory Perception (Crash is able to view the area around him as a visual map. Crash is able to see objects that don't even exist in reality anymore as blue, ghost-like things), Instinctive Reaction (Immediately reacts to spears coming out of the floor without noticing), Gliding and Burrowing (Can spin fast enough to act like both a helicopter propeller to slow his decent and a drill to tunnel through the Earth), Container, Volatile (Can spawn TNT crates out of nowhere and hurl them towards enemies with his Spin), and Minor Weather Manipulation (Can create a miniature thunderstorm), Possibly Water Walking (Lapped the earth 3 times in what seems to be a straight line, implying that he was so fast that he ran on the ocean), Aura (Can unleash a blue aura), Shockwave Creation (Can create shockwaves with Super-Charged Body Slam), Fusionism (Can merge two cars together), Energy Projection (Can shoot energy blasts), Size Reduction (Can manipulate the titans' size to store them on his pocket), Toon Force (Elasticity (Can survive getting crushed flat. Both his limbs and torso are stretchy), Immortality (Types 2, 3 (Mid-High), and 4), Summoning, and Speed Augmentation (Is still alive from getting reduced to a skeleton or getting his body disintegrated. Regenerated from having a cannonball blasted through his chest, getting reduced to a skeleton, getting crushed flat, and having his whole body disintegrated or seemingly vaporized. In Skylanders, Crash can almost instantly come back to life up to four times and gains a temporary speed boost upon reviving, in addition to having Aku Aku as a shield. Is able to die in several ways and come back later every time. Can throw a crate that spawns a jetpack and his Wumpa Fruit Bazooka), Dimensional Storage (Seemingly has access to Hammerspace, allowing him to store things like gems, crystals, and bazookas on his person and pull them out of nowhere), and 4th Wall Awareness (Can interact with the camera and constantly faces towards it)), Vacuum Effect (Is able to spin fast enough to create a vortex that pulls enemies towards him), Enhanced Swimming (Able to swim and spin around while underwater. Can swim very fast), Underwater Breathing (Type 3 (Has scuba gear that allows him to breathe underwater for extended periods of time)), Resistance to Radiation (Can collect and carry radioactive flakes from another dimension without ill effects), Life (Bandicoots are stated to be immune to "Mojo Control", which would be controlling the essence of life itself), Explosion (Is immune to the explosion caused by his own TNT crates), Temperature, Fire, and Magma Manipulation (Can run and jump around in an area that's cold enough to freeze icicles on his and Aku Aku's faces unbothered. Can withstand running around in a volcano, endure eating a chili pepper so hot it literally sets him on fire, and even survive falling into lava and swimming in it)
At Least High Complex Multiverse Level (Crash was such a threat to the Evil Twins that they retreated from him and used the Deathbot, a giant robot (Which should be far superior to the twins themselves), against him, Cortex and Nina to fight them. They then retreated in fear when Crash used Mecha Bandicoot against them to ultimately defeat the Deathbot, with the Mecha Bandicoot being a robot that Crash defeated way earlier in the game. The Evil Twins were mutated by and attained their powers from the 10th Dimension, turning them into somewhat 10th Dimensional abstracts), Possibly High Hyperverse Level (The Evil Twins defeated Aku Aku and Uka Uka while presenting the fact that they couldn't beat them due to them being the masters of the infinite dimensions, with power over reality itself)
Speed: Immeasurable (Kept up with N. Tropy, who can traverse space-time, and N. Trance, who is a 5th-dimensional being and is capable of flying to different points in time. While these could easily be space and time travel hax feats, and not actually speed feats, 5th dimensional beings in general tend to be transcendent of a regular space-time continuum's laws)
Lifting Strength: Superhuman
Striking Strength: At Least High Complex Multiversal, Possibly High Hyperversal
Durability: At Least High Complex Multiverse Level, Possibly High Hyperverse Level
Stamina: High (Despite being lazy, Crash can spend large amounts of time fighting enemies and going through long and arduous platforming sequences with little to no rest. Traveled from N. Sanity Island all the way to Cortex Island within the span of a few days while showing minimal signs of fatigue)
Standard Equipment: Fruit Bazooka
Intelligence: Below Average, possibly Average normally, Above Average, likely Gifted in Physical Activity, Tactical Thinking, and Technology (Crash is usually portrayed as dimwitted, gullible, and lazy, having blindly followed Cortex's orders on two occasions, despite the latter's many past attempts to destroy him, and failed to see through Cortex's incredibly obvious disguise in Twinsanity. He also has an extremely limited vocabulary, rarely uttering more than simple keywords and exclamations ("Whoa!", "Pancakes", "Yee-ha!", etc.), though this could likely be due to no one teaching him how to speak rather than lacking the mental capacity to do so. That said, Crash isn't a complete idiot - he at least seems to be emotionally intelligent, making him very flexible and not easily frustrated, and games such as Nitro Kart and It's About Time show Crash being empathetic enough to pick up on the emotions and feelings of those around him. Also, certain depictions, such as the 100% ending of Crash 4 imply that Crash actually can talk, but simply prefers not to. Where Crash truly shines, however, is in terms of physical activity, tactical thinking, and technology. He's consistently shown to be a skilled fighter who can adapt to many different combat situations, including hand-to-hand, weaponry, and vehicular combat. He has repeatedly defeated the forces of Dr. Neo Cortex and Uka Uka and ruined their plans for world domination on a consistent basis. He's also a surprisingly tactical fighter who can quickly identify and exploit the weaknesses of foes much larger, stronger, and/or more all-around powerful than he is, such as Tiny Tiger and Crunch, and has even outwitted and bested scientific masterminds such as Dr. Cortex, N. Gin, and N. Tropy on multiple occasions. He's gained a lot of experience on his adventures, even besting Crunch multiple times while the latter was empowered by the Elemental Masks - what makes this especially notable is that Crunch was created specifically to be a superior version of Crash, and yet Crash has consistently defeated him whenever they fought. He's even defeated Coco, his genius sister who is comparable to him in combat ability, on both occasions where she was brainwashed and turned against him. Additionally, though not a technological genius, Crash is regularly shown to be highly skilled at piloting all kinds of different vehicles (such as karts, planes, motorcycles, jeeps, mech-suits, etc.), to the point where he was once able to control the Mecha Bandicoot with no prior knowledge of how it works, even using it to defeat two beings of high intelligence. He also once built a racing car with his own mechanic skills)
Weaknesses: Aside from the aforementioned gullibility and fluctuating intelligence, Crash is quite lazy outside of adventures, spending most of his free time sleeping. Additionally, he can be quite clumsy at times and often fluctuates heavily in terms of bravery, having panicked and/or cowered before enemies such as Tiny outside of combat multiple times despite otherwise being incredibly brave on adventures and in combat.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Spin: Crash's signature attack. Crash rapidly spins like a top on 1 leg with his arms and other leg stretched out, allowing him to attack enemies all around him, break crates, operate machinery, and deflect projectiles.
- Death Tornado Spin: A powered-up version of the Spin. With extended spinning ability, Crash spins a lot longer and faster, and is able to glide over large gaps.
- Triple Spin: Crash spins 3 times in a row in a rhythm, allowing him to spin and move faster than usual for a brief period.
- Cyclone Spin Combo: Crash keeps the spin going, moving faster during the spin for a while.
- Suction Cyclone Spin: Crash keeps the spin going for so long, that he creates a vortex around him. Enemies are suctioned in, knocked away, and hit harder when punched. Crash's movement speed slightly decays over time, however.
- Go Yo-Yo Go Yo-Yo Go!: Crash spins while holding his yo-yo outstretched, increasing the Spin's area and causing combo attacks to do more damage. Spinning also retains it's initial speed for a longer time.
- Slide Attack: Crash runs forward and slide across the ground with 1 foot extended outwards to attack enemies in front of him.
- Super Slide: A powered-up version of the Slide Attack. Crash slides for much longer distances than the normal Slide Attack does, and can also destroy Locked Crates.
- Slide Jump: Crash jumps in the middle of a slide, allowing him to gain speed and to jump higher.
- Slide Spin: Crash spins in the middle of a slide, allowing him to carry his momentum.
- Body Slam: Crash jumps into the air and then slams down belly 1st, crushing anything beneath him.
- Super Charged Body Slam: A powered-up version of the Body Slam. When Crash uses this move, it sends out a shockwave once performed to increase the radius of his Body Slam from 2 - 3 crates in distance. This move is powerful enough to let Crash break locked crates.
- Double Jump: Crash jumps into the air and then jumps once again while in midair.
- Crash Dash: Crash dashes about, running significantly faster than he usually does, making relics easier to obtain.
- Punch (Fan Name): Crash punches the opponent.
- Norris Roundhouse: Crash punches the opponent 3 times and then spins around on the 3rd punch to also kick the opponent.
- Chin Tickler: Crash punches the opponent twice and then follows up with an uppercut to the chin.
- Flip Kick (Fan Name): Crash flips forwards and extends his feet forwards to kick the opponent in midair.
- Charged Flip Kick (Fan Name): Crash bends his legs to build up power and then performs a Flip Kick. This attack can be used to break an opponent's guard.
- Double Whammy: Crash performs a Flip Kick and then puts his fists together and brings them down on his opponent like a mallet to slam them.
- Triple Dragon: Crash performs a Double Whammy and then jumps toward his opponent and headbutts them.
- Gyro Jackhammer: Crash spins while doing a hand/headstand with his legs extended outwards to kick his opponent.
- Box O' Rockets: Crash throws a crate containing a jetpack and his Wumpa Fruit Bazooka. When he opens it, Crash uses the jet pack to fly into the air. He then uses the Bazooka to shoot Wumpa Fruit at his opponent and unleash an aerial assault.
- Oh No Yo-Yo Fo' Show!: Crash's Sky-Chi Ability. Crash pulls out his yo-yo and throws it at his opponent 4 times, using what appears to be a "waking the dog" technique to damage them. Afterwards, Crash will somehow end up accidentally tying himself up with his yo-yo string, only to Spin himself free.
- Crate Going: Crash tosses a TNT crate that explodes. He can Super slide into or spin near crates to move them around. After enough combat, the next crate Crash tosses is a Crash Crate that spawns an extra life upon destruction.
- Four Squares: Crash throw 4 TNT crates around in a circle. He can then use his Spin to move them around in a circle and hurl them into enemies.
- Blasting Impression: When Crash jumps on a TNT crate, it causes it's detonation to make a shockwave that knocks enemies down in a big area.
- Dynamight: An upgrade to Crash's TNT crates, allowing their explosions cover a larger area and do more damage.
- 5 to Life: Crash revives up to 4 times, equating to a total of 5 lives! When Crash revives, Aku Aku will be summoned to Shield Crash from damage.
- Aku Aku Dash: Crash runs faster after reviving while under Aku Aku's protection. Aku Aku also shields for a longer period of time.
- Upperkick: Crash does a backflip to perform an upperkick that knocks enemies upwards.
