Summary[]
Dwight “Dewey” Riley was the sheriff of Woodsboro during the first Ghostface killings. He would join forces with Sidney Prescott & Gale Weathers and assisted in taking down ghostface. Due to the original ghostfaces killing his girlfriend, he vowed to stop any ghostfaces that popped up, with him facing off against various other ghostfaces, even being the one to kill Roman Bridger, though he would eventually be killed by Amber Freeman.

His keen analytical skills continued to shine, as he connected the dots between the killer and Maureen Prescott's murder after examining the buildings in the photograph Gale had taken in Hollywood. This realization was crucial, as it revealed that Maureen had spent time in Hollywood during her younger years, linking her past to the present threat. Dewey's insight proved invaluable once again when he successfully predicted that Richie would be the killer, relying on the established "Boyfriend Killer" trope that had become a hallmark of the franchise. His experience and knowledge of horror film conventions allowed him to provide Sam with practical tips on how to survive a Stab movie, which were somewhat successful)
