Summary[]
Dinopithecus was a giant baboon that lived in Africa from the Pliocene to the Pleistocene. It is thought to have been bigger than a large man, one of the largest Primates to have ever existed. They lived alongside Homo Erectus; some argue that Homo Erectus drove them to extinction by killing all the young and sub-adults of their species as evidenced by ninety juvenile giant baboon bodies thought to have been killed by the human.
Powers and Stats[]
Tier: 9-C, higher via piercing damage
Name: Dinopithecus ingens, 'huge terrible ape/monkey'
Origin: The Real World
Gender: Varies
Age: Lifespan likely similar to that of modern baboons (45)
Classification: Baboon, primate
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Natural Weaponry (Teeth), Enhanced Senses
Attack Potency: Street level (Via sheer size and scaling from modern baboons who could easily injure humans and medium sized animals and from Mandrills who can push 400 lbs Pygmy Hippos away, they would've been extremely strong at this size, likely killed Homo Erectus. A fully grown male Dinopithecus weighs around 77 kg, which would yield this much energy in joules), higher via piercing damage
Speed: Superhuman (Likely had the ability to move at the same speed of modern baboons, who runs about 30 mph [13.4112 m/s])
Lifting Strength: Likely Athletic Human (Baboons are not lifters, but can overpowered humans and medium sized animals. Much smaller Mandrills xan push 400 lbs Pygmy Hippos away from them)
Striking Strength: Street level (Much smaller Mandrills can push 400 lbs Pygmy Hippos away from them and other baboons can easily hurt humans, a baboon of this size would've been capable of giving out this much energy)
Durability: Street level (Likely fought others of their species, lived alongside large felines and Homo Erectus and likely survived attacks from them)
Stamina: Superhuman (Male baboons fight and injure each other all the time, this one would've been no different)
Range: Likely Extended Melee Range (Had very long arms)
Standard Equipment: Likely could use stone tools and sticks as modern baboons do
Intelligence: High Animalistic (Probably as high as modern baboons, primates in general are extremely intelligent). Otherwise Animalistic
Weaknesses: None notable
