~ Author |
Summary[]
Jason Blood, a knight of King Arthur's round table, found himself seduced by the magical temptress Morgaine Le Fay and betrayed Camelot for her, in hopes that once she brought down the legendary kingdom they could be together. Le Fay spurned his affections, revealing that she had been tricking him all along, and left him to die. A furious Merlin, refusing to allow the traitorous Blood a swift death, bound his soul to a powerful demon, Etrigan, granting him eternal life - and centuries later, Blood would use the powers of the demon to become a powerful member of the Justice League.

- Illusion Creation (Made it appear, to Klarion and Etrigan, as if there were multiple Batmen)
- Forcefield Creation (Created a forcefield to defend himself and Robin against Etrigan)
- Preparation (Gave Batman the mystic staff to bring down Haahk)
- Statistics Reduction (His mystic staff drastically weakens demons)
Attack Potency: Multi-Continental to Planet Level (Fought Martian Manhunter, who could harm him - putting him on his knees with two hits, bodyslamming him and grappling with him. Effortlessly turned suits of armor (that could ragdoll Batman) to ash. Effortlessly demolished buildings and stopped a moving van. See here for my reasoning as to why DCAU Superman is not Low Complex Multiversal) | Street Level (Was a knight of Arthur's round table, which presumably would require high physical conditioning), possibly far higher with Magic (It's possible that his offensive magic is comparable in power to his defensive magic)
Speed: Relativistic combat speed and reactions (Kept up with Martian Manhunter, tagging him several times as described above. Fought Teekl, who repeatedly tagged Batman and even swatted his thrown Batarang out of the air - blitzing her with a bodyslam and effortlessly dodging her attacks. Reacted to and stopped a punch from Robin) | At least Athletic Human, likely Peak Human combat speed and reactions
Lifting Strength: At least Class K, if not Class M (Grappled with and restrained a furious Martian Manhunter - J'onn having superior physical showings to the likes of Wonder Woman. Lifted and threw a subway train. Stopped a moving van with ease. As a powerful demon, he should be substantially stronger than Bane. Likely stronger than Booster Gold, whose super-suit made him strong enough to hold himself and a civilian in place against a gravitational anomaly that sucked in a building despite the building being farther from the epicenter of the phenomenon than Booster himself) | At least Athletic Human (Had an athletic constitution)
Striking Strength: Multi-Continent Class to Planet Class | Street Class
Durability: Multi-Continental to Planet Level (Tanked his own flame blast being reflected back at him. Took several strikes from a furious Martian Manhunter. Took two blasts from Morgaine Le Fay and remained conscious - these same blasts one-shot Wonder Woman) | Street Level physically, Multi-Continental to Planet Level with Barriers (Created a barrier that could take hits from Etrigan)
Stamina: At least Athletic in both forms
Range: Standard Melee Range physically, and at least Several Meters with Fire Breath and Energy Projection (Only ever shown to traverse a handful of meters, at most nine) | Standard Melee Range physically, Extended Melee Range with his sword, and seemingly Kilometers with spells (Affected Klarion and Etrigan from another point in Gotham)
Intelligence: At least Above Average in both forms (Both Jason and Etrigan are born warriors with literal centuries of experience)
Standard Tactics: Is extremely belligerent, attacking his enemies with ferocity first thing - this can be observed in his fights with Morgaine Le Fay, Martian Manhunter, and Batman. | Unknown, but Arthur's knights were likely trained to strike first to ensure victory.
Weaknesses: Jason may have normal human weaknesses, though it is also possible that the presence of Etrigan makes him self-sustaining in the same way it makes him immortal. Removing Etrigan from Jason will cause Jason to rapidly age to death. As shown during JLU’s “The Balance,” a disruption of the balance between Olympus and Tartarus will cause him excruciating pain, even splitting his body between Etrigan and Jason.
Note: Bruce Timm has stated that the original DCAU tie-in comics are not canon, with the only tie in comics that have statements to the contrary (other than Batman: The Adventures Continue, which has so many continuity issues that it's essentially impossible to argue it's canon) being Justice League Infinity, the Batman and Harley Quinn tie in comics, and specifically the first annual of Batman Adventures. Ergo, I only consider those three comics canon.
