Fear Manipulation, also known as Fear Inducement, is the ability to inflict a sense of fear in a target. The severity of the induced fear can vary, users can possibly use this to manipulate the target, incapacitate them or simply drive them insane. This ability is reserved those causing with a supernatural ability, rather than just appearing ''scary'' for certain individuals.
Possible Uses[]
Fear Manipulation can inflict fear in a target, which can incapacitate them by overwhelming them with fear, rendering them too frightened to fight back. This ability can also create powerful illusions, making the target perceive their greatest fears as if they have come to life, the ability can also be used to manipulate targets, by manipulating their perception, making them see their allies as their most feared nightmares. Moreover, the ability can also be used to force a target to cause great harm to themselves, by making them to scared to live, or even scarring them to death. Furthermore, the ability can drive a target to self-harm by instilling an unbearable fear either too great to live through or directly a fear of living, potentially leading to severe psychological trauma or even death. Other uses include pressuring a target into revealing information, influencing decisions, and causing widespread panic towards others based on their manipulation. It can also possibly intel some kind of information of the target, as many fear abilities make use of the targets' personal fears.

Fear Manipulation depending on the context, can be resisted and overcome psychologically, usually seen with willpower, courage or by the target altering their consciousness in some way that negates the ability. The ability is often useless against non-sentient entities, as they lack consciousness to experience fear.

- A typically seen useless type of Fear Manipulation is Unnerving Visage, where the appearance of the entity is so frightening that it scares targets, even without an ability. This type of fear is controversial, due to it being experienced subjectively, entities like Tyrannosaurus rexes, clowns, etc., are common examples that could potentially fall into this category. It's not an actual supernatural ability, nor does it guarantee fear into opponents.
