Character Stats and Profiles Wiki

In the past, we have encouraged users to create new pages for powers and abilities they thought the wiki lacked. However, as of now, we want new pages to be approved by the staff, meaning that new powers and abilities pages must be suggested. This can be done in our official Discord server in the suggestion channel, or messaged to a staff member. Of course, users can always create blogs about powers and abilities to include in their profiles if they don't want to attempt creating official pages. Linking to other wikis' powers and abilities pages is also permitted.

~ Faust resolving to kill Hades

Summary[]

Felix Faust was a celebrated professor of Archaeology - that is, until his pursuits lead him to discover that the myths concerning Greek deities and Magic were anything but myths. The academic community didn't believe him, however, and he was laughed out of the scholarly circles that had once lauded him - leading Faust to vow revenge, becoming a master of magic and a vassal of Hades.

Powers and Stats[]

Tier: High 6-A to 5-B | High 6-A to 5-B

Key: During “Paradise Lost” | During “The Balance”

Name: Felix Faust

Origin: The DC Animated Universe

Gender: Male

Age: At least 40, just judging by his appearance

Classification: Homo Magi during "Paradise Lost", and during "The Balance," he is a spirit possessing a battlesuit.

Powers and Abilities:

During “The Balance,” he should wield all prior abilities except Plant Manipulation and Petrification, as he doesn’t seem to have those artifacts within Tartarus. He also wields:

Attack Potency: Multi-Continental to Planet Level (His magical attack harmed Hades, causing him so much pain he could no longer maintain a humanoid appearance. Momentarily knocked Wonder Woman out with a single magical blast. Was generally capable of holding his own against the Justice League long enough to escape from them) | Multi-Continental to Planet Level (See Note as to why I don't scale Base Faust's magic to Faust-Annihilator's magic blasts. Defeated Hades, removing him from the throne of Tartarus, as well as casually stomping him during “The Balance” - Hades being powerful enough to casually smack away and overpower Wonder Woman - with this scaling being furthered by the Annihilator casually smacking Wonder Woman around with both physical blows and beams in that same episode. The Annihilator, during "Hawk and Dove," was too much for the combined forces of Wonder Woman, Hawk, and Dove to physically overcome (instead needing to resort to exploiting its weakness and depriving it of its ability to function at all), and during "Task Force X" it could tear Martian Manhunter in two (though MMH later proved the two are moreso physical equals) and beat down Atom Smasher, who has connective scaling to Wonder Woman. His magic beams could create a restraint that Wonder Woman barely got herself out of and notably injure Hades)

Speed: Relativistic, possibly higher reactions and combat speed (Reacted to and blocked an attack from a casual, cocky Flash. Reacted to a charge from a furious Wonder Woman, doing away with the tablet of Medusa before she could land a hit on him), though his attack speed with magic blasts seems to be considerably slower (Basically every Justice Leaguer has no problem dodging or blocking them - him tagging JL Season 1 Superman from a distance seems to simply be an outlier, since it would imply Wonder Woman is substantially faster than JL Season 1 Superman, which is shown to be false in their fight during that same episode) | Relativistic reactions, combat speed, and attack speed with Magical Beams (Blitzed an on-guard Wonder Woman with a strike, albeit at close range. Tagged a furious Hades and an on-guard Wonder Woman with his beams)

Lifting Strength: At most Athletic Human (Is a physically normal man, other than his speed) | At least Class K, if not Class M (As a divine, magical WMD that can casually outmuscle gods of Olympus such as Hades and Ares, it stands to reason he should be a good bit more physically powerful than Wonder Woman, despite him never specifically demonstrating he can lift more than she can. While battling Kaznians, the Annihilator demonstrated several feats of incredible lifting strength - it casually tossed a tank a great distance, tipped over armored trucks by just walking into them, and lifted and slammed down an armored truck. Threw Hawk off of itself while the latter was attempting to grapple him, with Hawk having the strength to uproot a tree and swing it like a baseball bat)

Striking Strength: Human Class (Is physically unremarkable) | Multi-Continent Class to Planet Class

Durability: At most Wall Level to possibly even Small Building Level (At most, should be comparable to Amanda Waller, who survived a portion of an explosion. He was downed by a casual strike from Batman, and the fact that he survived attacks from Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter is easily explained by the fact that both parties wanted to take him alive rather than kill him, and as such held back) | Multi-Continental to Planet Level (Took several attacks from Martian Manhunter and a bodyslam and firebreath from Hades, and Wonder Woman's best attacks couldn't so much as dent it. Only had superficial damage from a bloodlusted Hawkgirl's swing, despite the fact that her mace should do extra damage to the Annihilator due to Nth metal's disruption of magic)

Stamina: At least Athletic (Remained conscious and used a magical spell after having been aged several decades in an instant) | Infinite (Is a robot that runs endlessly)

Range: Standard Melee Range physically, at least Several Meters, if not Tens of Meters with Magic Blasts (Crossed a decent distance to hit Hades), and at least Several Meters with Petrification (Should have at least this much range, if not far more) | Extended Melee Range physically (The Annihilator is a huge warsuit), and at least Several Meters, if not Tens of Meters with Magic (Shouldn't have any less range than Faust's magic did when he was alive)

Standard Equipment:

During "Paradise Lost" -

  • Tablet of Medusa: A small, circular tablet that, combined with a spell, petrifies its target.
  • Enchanted Seeds: Seeds which grow into massive, thorny vines powerful enough to keep the Justice League off their feet for a moment.
  • Hourglass: Self-explanatory.

During "The Balance" -

  • The Annihilator: Faust, during "The Balance," exists as a spirit possessing the Annihilator, a nigh-indestructible battlesuit forged by Hephaestus with the physical might and speed to handily defeat many powerful heroes and even deities. Faust can funnel his magic through the Annihilator, allowing him to perform spells just as well as he could in his human body.

Intelligence: At least Gifted, with incredible magical mastery (Found a way to remove the Annihilator's weakness. Was a respected archaeology professor, and has a profound mastery of magic. Tricked Tala into swapping places with him)

Standard Tactics: Generally attempts to dispatch his foe with a magical blast, removing them from the equation as quickly as possible.

Weaknesses: Possesses normal human weaknesses, and has something of an ego problem. | His suit can be destroyed with Nth metal.

Note: Faust's magic blasts in "Paradise Lost" only proved potent enough to somewhat harm Hades, making him yell in pain, whereas the magic he fires through the Annihilator's palm slams Hades around and does notable damage. This seems to be his magic, as the Annihilator never demonstrated the ability to fire these magic beams in either of its prior appearances. However, as I noted above, the power seems to be somewhat disparate between appearances - but I think this can be explained by the fact that Faust was shown to have been studying from several magical tomes in Hades' library, meaning he could have trained and achieved more powerful magic.

Note 2: Bruce Timm has stated that the original DCAU tie-in comics are not canon, with the only tie in comics that have statements to the contrary (other than Batman: The Adventures Continue, which has so many continuity issues that it's essentially impossible to argue it's canon) being Justice League Infinity, the Batman and Harley Quinn tie in comics, and specifically the first annual of Batman Adventures. Ergo, I only consider those three comics canon.
