Megadimension Neptunia VII OST: Encounter of Destiny

Summary[]

The Dark CPUs (ダーク女神/ダークメガミ, Dāku Megami) are five of the antagonists in Megadimension Neptunia VII and the destined enemies of Uzume who has been fighting them alone for a very long time. One of their most notable characteristics is their gigantic size that towers over any other giant monster in the franchise.

They appeared suddenly and began destroying the Zero Dimension. The destruction brought by the Dark CPUs isn't only physical, but also ends up erasing space itself. Therefore, wherever the Dark CPU appear even the land completely disappears into nothingness.

The only way to defeat them is to trap them within a Sharing Field, which Uzume can create with enough share energy, otherwise they are invincible and impossible to fight.

In MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies, the Dark CPUs (except Dark Orange) can be fought as giant bosses in Multi Mode. Each of the four appear in a 5-star quest.

(Summary taken from the Hyperdimension Neptunia wiki's page for the Dark CPUs)

Powers and Stats[]

Tier: 1-A | 1-A | 1-A | 1-A | 1-A | 1-A

Name: Depends on the Dark CPU in question, the ones that exist are: Dark Purple, Dark Black, Dark White, and Dark Green. Were known as 'The Giants' before their names were revealed

Origin: Megadimension Neptunia VII

Gender: Female

Age: Unknown

Classification: Dark CPUs, Dark Goddesses, Kurome's minions, Destroyers of Gamindustri

Powers and Abilities:

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Flight, Immortality (Type 8, likely type 1; Kurome can endlessly recreate her as much as she wants to. Similarly to other goddesses, they should likely be incapable of aging or dying from it.), Beyond-Dimensional Physiology (As with all other entities in the Neptunia series, her existence is beyond the concept of numerical dimensionality, as all beings evolved alongside Gamindustri into beyond dimensional existences), Acausality (Types 1, 3, and 4; Like other characters she is immune to changes in the past, as even normal citizens kept their memories after Hyper Dimension's history was rewritten. It's explained by Histoire that time and causality splits people's past and future into multiple timelines to protect them from paradoxes and causal changes), Inorganic Physiology (Type 2; is an artificial being created from Kurome's negative energy), Large Size (Type 11; Is beyond the concept of numerical dimensionality), Existence Erasure, Space-Time Manipulation (The attacks of Dark CPUs seemed to rip apart the fabric of space and time itself according to Nepgear and are directly stated by the Nepedia to erase things from existence.), Energy Manipulation, Energy Projection, Electricity Manipulation (Some attacks of Dark CPUs give off purple lightning), Fire Manipulation (Some attacks from Dark CPUs give off flames), Explosion Manipulation (Some Dark CPU attacks are shown to give off explosions in cutscenes)

All prior powers in addition to Rei's powers (Since Arfoire stole Rei's power from Croire before fusing with Dark Purple) and Arfoire's powers

All powers of their incomplete self in addition to all powers of Next Purple (Each of the Dark CPUs were completed by using the powers of their respective Next Form counterparts) and Fusionism (When completed, the Dark CPUs have shown they can fuse with the other Dark CPUs to become one, more powerful, Dark CPU when commanded to by Kurome)

All powers of all four of the completed Dark CPUs

All powers of their complete self on an enhanced scale

Attack Potency: Outerverse level (Superior to Uzume and are able to gravely wound her with singular attacks outside the Sharing Field) | Outerverse level (Stronger than before, has the power of Rei Ryghts) | Outerverse level (An individual complete Dark CPU when not weakened by the Sharing Field has the power of one of the Next Forms) | Outerverse level (Has the capabilities of the four complete Dark CPUs combined) | Outerverse level (Stronger than their completed selves, unknown relation in comparison to their fused selves) | Outerverse level (Stronger than standard EX Dark CPUs, unknown relation in comparison to their fused selves)

Speed: Irrelevant (Her sheer existence is beyond the concept of numerical dimensionality and by extension she and her speed cannot be defined by the speed formula. Should be at least comparable to Orange Heart, whom they can keep up with in combat) | Irrelevant (Faster than before) | Irrelevant (Has the capabilities of a Next Form) | Irrelevant (Has the capabilities of the four complete Dark CPUs combined) | Irrelevant (Likely faster than their completed selves, unknown relation in comparison to their fused selves) | Irrelevant (Likely faster than regular EX Dark CPUs, unknown relation in comparison to their fused selves)

Lifting Strength: Irrelevant (Should be at least comparable to Orange Heart, whom they are superior to in combat) | Irrelevant (Has the powers of Rei) | Irrelevant (A complete Dark CPU has the power of a Next Form, which is far superior to Prime HDD Rei) | Irrelevant (Has the capabilities of the four complete Dark CPUs combined) | Irrelevant (Stronger than their completed selves, unknown relation in comparison to their fused selves) | Irrelevant (Stronger than regular EX Dark CPUs, unknown relation in comparison to their fused selves)

Striking Strength: Outerversal | Outerversal | Outerversal | Outerversal | Outerversal | Outerversal

Durability: Outerverse level (Outside of the Sharing Field, Uzume's attacks that don't have Share Energy can't scratch them and attacks with it barely leave a dent. In the Sharing Field, where they are immensely weakened, they still can take many hits from Uzume and the other CPUs) | Outerverse level | Outerverse level | Outerverse level | Outerverse level

Stamina: Unknown, but likely extremely high (The Dark CPUs, while never appearing for too long a period of time, should likely be comparable to the regular CPUs they are based on, whom can fight for thousands of generations to eons without rest, showing no sign of tiring)

Range: Irrelevant | Irrelevant (Before fusing with Dark Purple, Arfoire stole Rei's powers from Croire, and should likely have her range) | Irrelevant (Should have the same range as the Next Forms) | Same as before | Same as before | Same as before

Standard Equipment: None notable

Intelligence: Unknown, likely Average (The Dark CPUs, while being completely artificial in nature, have some level of sentience [having shown emotions], have the capacity to speak, and are quite capable in combat against the like of the regular CPUs), far higher when fused with Arfoire (When fused, Arfoire is the one completely in control, and she is capable of tricking other characters like the CPUs and IF)

Weaknesses: If they're contained in a Sharing Field, they are weakened immensely due to having a weakness to Share Energy that is usually mitigated by their large size. With the exception of Dark Purple, all of the Dark CPUs' ultimate attacks require their weapons that are attached to them to be intact to preform. When fused, their first weakness is partially negated due to the sheer amount of negative energy they have, however, a powered up Sharing Field such as one using the core of Heart Dimension to contain them still works.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Dark Purple Ultimate

Dark Purple's strongest attack: Brilliance of the End

  • Truth Atoning Lies: An attack in which she slaps her hand towards the the target(s) before sweeping it back, causing damage and knocking back the target(s)
  • Fist of Grudges: She punches the target(s) once with each hand, causing damage and knocking back the target(s)
  • Containment of Gods: She crushes the target(s) by crushing them between her hands.
  • Light of Eternal Grudges: She cups her hands at her sides before firing off a large purple energy beam that sweeps across the area from them
  • Flower Bloom of Chaos: She goes up into the air before coming back down and slamming her target(s)
  • Brilliance of the End: She flies up into the air and charges an orb of dark red energy before raising it above her head, causing it to expand. She then throws it down towards the ground, causing a large purple explosion that dwarfs large chunks of land. This is Dark Purple's strongest attack.

  • Evil Disturbed: In a similar manner to Dark Purple's hands in her 'Truth Atoning Lies' attack, she sweeps the flat end of the sword on her arm across the area to damage and knockback the target(s)
  • Fractal Cut: She slaps the target(s) before sweeping across the area with the edge of her sword
  • Round Heaven: She crushes the target(s) between the flat side of her sword and her hand.
  • Infinite Abyss: She stabs at the target(s) 5 times with her sword, damaging and knocking them back.
  • Last Sight: She coats her sword in a purple energy before sweeping it across the area around her whilst spinning
  • Earth Divide: She attacks with a powerful cut from her sword that can phase through the ground
  • Darkness End: She rapidly attacks with 6 slashes from her sword before backing away and coating her sword in a large purple energy that dwarfs herself in size before bringing it down on her target(s), damaging them repeatedly, causing them to explode in a large energy that sends out a multitude of shockwaves. This is Dark Black's strongest attack.

  • Unleashed Fury: In a similar manner to Dark Black's 'Fractal Cut', she slaps her target(s) before sweeping the area they're in with her axe.
  • Hope Crushing Power Arm: In a similar manner to the other Dark CPU's crushing attacks, she crushes the target(s) between her hand and the edge of her axe.
  • Heavenly Judgement: She goes up into the air before coming back down to slam the target(s)
  • Land Fissuring War Axe of Destruction: She slams down her axe onto the target(s) in a similar manner to Dark Black's 'Earth Divide' attack
  • Hope Rending War Axe of Torrents: She sweeps around and slices the area with her axe in a similar manner to Dark Black's 'Last Sight' attack
  • Destructive Force of Despair: She goes up into the air and slams down the edge of her axe on the target(s)
  • War Axe of Destruction: She swings her axe back and forth before jumping in the air whilst doing a front-flip before bringing her axe down upon the target, causing them to explode in a white energy that sends out many shockwaves. This is Dark White's strongest attack

  • 1st Heaven: Zenith Void: She stabs the target(s) with her lance
  • 2nd Heaven: Disastrous Lightning: She causes a storm that has purple lightning rain down upon the general area whist a purple vortex swirls around the general area, both causing damage to the target(s) and covering the herself with purple electricity for the duration of the attack
  • 3rd Heaven: Refusal: She stabs down at the target(s) 5 times with her lance in quick succession
  • 4th Heaven: Futility: She swings her lance across the area twice to damage the target(s) before quickly thrusting her lance at them.
  • 5th Heaven: Scantillating Disaster: She charges up a green energy in her lance before thrusting it at the target(s), having the energy burst out to damage them in the process
  • 6th Heaven: Destruction: In a similar manner to Dark Black's 'Fractal Cut' attack, she slaps the target(s) before seeping the area they're in with her lance
  • 7th Heaven: Evil Crowning: She sweeps the area in front of her back and forth with her lance
  • 8th Heaven: Burial: In a similar manner to Dark White's 'Destructive Force of Despair' attack, she goes into the air before coming back down and slamming the opponent
  • 9th Heaven: Void's Light: She charges an orb of green energy on her lance before aiming it upwards and launching it into the air before it becomes a glyph far larger than herself before she swings her lance in front of her, upon which, dozens of energy projectiles rain down upon the target(s). After which she quickly charges up and fires a massive green energy beam down upon them, causing them to explode in a large green energy that sends out many shockwaves. This is Dark Green's strongest attack.

    • Note 1: I don't have much knowledge of Neptunia related material that lacks many translations, such as Mega Miracle Force, so if anyone could inform me of any notable information from sources such as that, it would be appreciated if you could inform me about it either in the comments here, or on my wall.
Feel free to inform me via any means you can about any additional things I may have forgotten to include on this page.
      • Note 1.5: My profiles for the series also lacks info from several games that I haven't gotten information from, be it having not completed the game, not having gotten around to watching a playthrough due to being unable to play it myself, etc. A compilation of the most notable games that I lack info on will be listed at the bottom of my user page.
    • Note 2: To see the deal with the cosmology and why the ratings are as such, please look at the verse page, which explains it in the 'Explanations' section
    • Note 3: This page covers all of the Dark CPUs (except Dark Orange, whom can be found here), as I personally don't feel they all have enough to warrant each having their own page separate from each-other
