Summary[]

Neptune (ネプテューヌ, Neputūnu), also known as Purple Heart (パープルハート, Pāpuru Hāto), is the main character of the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise. She is the Console Patron Unit (CPU) of Planeptune. Neptune personifies a fictional Sega console, although her name was inspired by the Sega Neptune, which combined the Sega Genesis and 32X but was never released.

Due to the Neptunia series being a game that revolves around different universes and dimensions, there are multiple Neptune's throughout the series though all of them retain more or less the same personalities and core aspects regardless of the setting.

(Summary taken from the Hyperdimension Neptunia wiki's page for Neptune)

Name: Neptune, Purple Heart. Is often called various nicknames, such as Nep-Nep, Nep, Neptuna, and Nepsy. | Neptune, Purple Heart. Often called by the previously listed nicknames | Neptune, Next Purple. Often called by the previously listed nicknames

Origin: Hyperdimension Neptunia

Gender: Female

Age:

  • CPU Neptunes
    • Inapplicable (It's stated on multiple occasions that age doesn't apply to goddesses)
  • Older/Ultra Dimension Neptune
    • Unknown, at least in her teens (Whilst commonly referred to as "Adult Neptune" by many fans, it is unknown if she is actually an adult in age, with one of her bios even stating it is unknown if she is actually an adult or still just underaged. Regardless, she should be at least in her teens due to her appearance and the fact she could possibly very well could be an adult)

Classification: Protagonist of Protagonists, Goddess, Celestian, CPU, CPU of Planeptune, Dimensional Traveler, Bug Catcher, Gamicademi Student, Paladin, Chosen One, Former Idol, Former Demon Lord | Goddess of Fate, Guardian Goddess of Planeptune, Guardian Goddess of Chaos | Next Gen CPU, The Evolved Blade That Slices Through Delusion, Ultimate CPU Evolution of Purple Heart

Powers and Abilities:

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery (Primarily wields various guns and swords. She has wielded a spear on occasion), Martial Arts (Skilled in martial arts, able to make up various techniques on the fly and while playing around), Transformation (Into Purple Heart with HDD [Hard Drive Divinity], into Next Purple with the Next Program or a Hyper Share Crystal, into a jet during various EXE Drives), Summoning (Can summon games to deal elemental damage via R/W Disk or Pre-set Disc. Can summon a giant pudding to crush her enemies. Can summon Puddingo, who gives a boost to jump height when jumped off of), Acrobatics (Can do movements in midair while jumping that aren't normally possible such as a midair dash [Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation and Super Neptunia RPG], double jump [Super Neptunia RPG], or stringing together entire sword combos midair [sometimes two or more if she wants to] in the span of one jump by somehow temporarily keeping herself at roughly the same elevation during the combo [Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed and Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online], etc), Fourth Wall Awareness (Constantly remarks about how she's in a game and that she's the heroine and once begs the player to skip a cutscene to spare her from another character's wrath. Can also use her status as main character to avoid potential worst-case scenarios), Healing (Transforming into her goddess form fully restores her HP and SP, also via various items like Nep Bull VII. Disabling her transformation can also heal her. Can also heal through some of her skills such as "Curix" and "Sea of Healing"), Information Analysis (The Observation Scope and Analyser allow her to analyze information of a foe, including but not limited to: heart rate, temperature, item drops, held items, health, stamina, statistics, and resistances), Acausality (Types 1, 3, and 4; Was unaffected by having the entirety of Hyper Dimension's history itself being rewritten and even normal citizens kept their memories after the world was rewritten. It's explained by Histoire that time and causality splits people's past and future into multiple timelines to protect them from paradoxes and causal changes.), Flight (Can freely fly through space as seen in Neptunia Shooter), Non-Corporeal, Nonexistent Physiology (Type 1; Neptune GT is the dream world counterpart of Neptune, and as such, is a "ghost" of her that's as real as a dream), Regeneration (High-Godly; She can passively heal off damage from the complete Dark CPUs, which have Conceptual Manipulation due to possessing the abilities of the Next Form users.), Immortality (Types 1, 3, 4, 7, 8; As a goddess, Neptune cannot age, as age does not apply to goddesses. The Player can simply resurrect her or reload a save file if she loses at all. CPUs are reliant upon Share Energy and so long as there are shares, they can indefinitely revive themselves. Neptune has died and came back from Hell, but she wasn't explicitly revived or resurrected. Auto-Raise automatically resurrects her whenever she dies or is knocked out in battle. Should she fall in battle she automatically resurrects via MRCL2 <Alive>. Scans for type 7), Beyond-Dimensional Physiology (As with all other entities in the Neptunia series, Neptune's existence is beyond the concept of numerical dimensionality, as all beings evolved alongside Gamindustri into beyond dimensional existences), Large Size (Varies across incarnations between not having this at all, type 3, type 5, type 6, type 9, and type 11; At a time in Hello New World she was about the size of the Planeptower. In one of the various 4komas she was literally the planet Neptune. In one of the anime's credits sequences even her toes dwarf several stars. In Producing Perfection CPUs are implied to be transcendent to Gamindustri), Undead Physiology (Type 1; Has died, went to, and left Hell, however, she was never actually revived), Protagonist Aura, Fate and Plot Manipulation (Passive; Neptune constantly remarks about how her being the protagonist lets her win. The presence of Neptune in her crossover with the Azur Lane franchise causes multiple "Mirror Seas" to appear in rapid succession when they were needed for plot advancement, something that has never happened in the Azur Lane franchise before, because they needed to search for them. This apparently is caused by her "Protagonist Aura". In the first anime OVA, when she didn't have enough time to get back to the warp gate to get back home the tower's function that should've taken her back to the bottom floor instead malfunctioned and made a permanent gate between the Hyper and Ultra Dimensions for no known reason when Neptune used it, and Neptune claimed it probably happened because of her being the main character. "Karma Evil Sword Caliburn" is stated to "twist its owner's fate with its inhuman power, at a price." It's also stated by IF it's like Neptune is scripted to get the best results and Neptune states that it's the power of destiny being on the side of the main character. Should have similar capabilities to that of Blanc and Noire, whom prevented a boss battle so the player didn't have to waste their time with it), Stealth Mastery (Hid her presence in a hot spring to sneak up on Compa. Could mask her presence to tail IF), Power Modification (With patches, which can modify what type of damage her weapon does), Immortality Negation (Of types 1, 3, 4, 8; Through the use of her legendary weapon of the Heroes Quartet, which was forged to and is able to kill goddesses, who under normal circumstances have these immortalities), Regeneration Negation (High-Godly; Through the use of her legendary weapon of the Heroes Quartet, which was forged to and is able to kill goddesses, who under normal circumstances have this level of regeneration), Multiple Personalities (After transforming, Neptune gains an entirely new personality), Self-Sustenance (Types 1, 2, and likely 3; Is a playable character in Neptunia Shooter, a game that takes place entirely in space. As noted in Victory/RB3, CPUs do not require sustenance to stay alive and cannot starve to death. CPUs can remain in active combat with no rest for billions of years with no sign of tiredness, as displayed in the original Hyperdimension Neptunia, where the four CPUs have fought for eons. Neptune as Nepbike, would lack normal biological needs due to being a bike as well.), Abstract Existence (Type 2; Goddesses are born from and are embodiments of Share Energy and won't perish so long as they have it), Conceptual Manipulation (Share Energy wielders can freely manipulate it to their whim. Share Energy is directly stated to be the concepts of will, faith, emotion, and desire. Share Energy can erase the true form of the Deity of Sin from existence by killing its manifestation, with the True Deity of Sin being abstract and conceptual in nature. Can create, warp, and likely destroy "Content" with virtually anything she does. Content is the fundamental building block of all existence and governs reality for Virtualand), Empathic Manipulation (Her attacks eventually cause her Tokimeki Flash technique, making her foes lose all will to fight, leaving them completely prone to all attacks and unwilling to retaliate.), Black Hole Generation (Sometimes her attacks are shown to destroy Antis via a small black hole), Reality Warping (Her mere thoughts can warp reality and "Content". Allowing her to do things like create alternate realities, damage foes without doing anything, make foes unwilling to fight back, creating items, etc.), Hammerspace (Through her inventory which has many, many items. While she doesn't always have one all that often, a N-Gear can store an unlimited number of items in a digitized form inside of it regardless of size while at the same time organizing all of them), Blessed (The Player can grant her the ability to One Shot opponents, give her Invulnerability to the attacks of others, and/or weaken the opponent), Share Energy Manipulation (Lower End Applications; as a goddess, she can freely manipulate Share Energy for various purposes), Weapon Creation (Can create her weapons out of nothing on the fly in just a couple of seconds. Can summon 32-Bit Megablades to attack the opponent, whether it be wielding it herself or firing them as projectiles [Whether it be 1, 4, or a maelstrom of them, with the smaller amounts be able to erupt pillars of energy where they land]), Extrasensory Perception (Can sense various forms of energy, including share energy and negative energy), Positive Emotion Empowerment (As a CPU she gains strength from share energy, which is consistently regarded to as positive emotions like hopes, desires, prayers, and faith. Share energy has also been referred to as the opposite to negative energy.), Non-Physical Interaction (Regular enemies include ghosts and beings made of data), Enhanced Senses (Sneaking Eye shows what the enemies can see), Perception Manipulation (Thanks to the White Orb, enemies won't attack unless they're attacked first), Inorganic Physiology (Type 1; As Nepbike, she is possessing a motorcycle), Indomitable Will (Neptune is shown to have a highly resilient will, not giving up until every last card she can play, has been played. She is generally unwilling to give up at all simply because she is the protagonist, and therefore, she must get the best possible results she can. She is willing to throw herself into dangerous situations just so she can see the "Happy Ending" with everyone and not have a friend die. Histoire has also noted that it would be very out of character for her to give up easily. In the "Thanksgiving (Festival) Full of Nep-Nep" OVA, she left the dream world through her own sheer motivation and willpower.), Damage Boost (Via Critical hits), Teleportation (With just a thought, she warped out of her own manga so she could request herself to be redrawn in on the next page by a different artist (Tsukano). And her request was granted.), Homing Attack (Some of her attacks can home in on her target), Vocal Mimicry (Can perfectly match her voice as Purple Heart while in base and as Nepbike. Can also do the same with her base form's voice while transformed), Status Effect Inducement (In the form of Paralysis, Stun, Poison, Power Nullification, Doom, Blind and more through various attacks), Magic (via various attacks), Elemental Manipulation (Of Water, Fire, Ice, Electricity, Earth, Poison, Air, Light, and Darkness through various attacks. She has the option of infusing one or more of these elements into her every attack if she so wishes.), Holy Manipulation (Has weaponry noted to be holy in nature), Resurrection (When she is knocked out or killed, she can resurrect via Auto-Raise. Can resurrect others via various skills), Reactive Evolution (Variable Sword allows it's user to adapt to whatever situation they are in and it updates itself to match the given situation), Probability Manipulation (Nep Stinger increases the probability of Neptune getting a critical hit on an opponent by 5%), Power Bestowal (everyone in RB2's ending gave their powers to Nepgear to fight the Deity of Sin), Energy Manipulation and Projection (via Delta Slash and other techniques), Fusionism (With "Mega Miracle Characterization" Neptune can fuse with Hiro from the Spectral Force series to make the Mega Miracle of Purple Flame: Hirotune), Durability Negation (Through various abilities, status effects, and all her attacks have a chance to inflict "Pure Damage", which outright ignores enemy defenses), Purification (CPUs passively radiate share energy around them, share energy has properties of purifying those in the presence of it. This is shown in MegaTagmension where those who were forcefully turned to zombies were turned back to their normal selves after being near CPUs for a period of time. Share energy is also likely what purified Arfoire and turned her back to her normal self in Re;Birth 1. Share energy is able to purify negative energies and those with them.), Time Travel (As Nepbike, Neptune retains IF's bike's ability to time travel), Time Manipulation, Temporal Reload (With the Save Point and Reset Button), Limiter Removal (Neptune passively breaks the limit on damage from her attacks, whereas other characters require either assistance from The Player or Game Discs with certain Idea Chips to do so), limited Wish Granting (Misanga equipment grants wishes if they break, but only if broken by means that are not the wearer directly breaking it manually), Glyph Creation (Can create glyphs to use as platforms or for some of her various attacks), Life Manipulation (With the Dark Ring, Neptune can manipulate the life force of all creatures), Absorption (Neptune can absorb attacks passively to Heal herself. This can be toggled off if necessary for some reason.), Forcefield Creation (Similarly to other characters such as her sister, Neptune can create a forcefield in front of her to defend against attacks), History Manipulation, Memory Manipulation (A Neptune from another dimension gave the main dimension Neptune the memories of various Neptunes from countless parallel worlds. Pair Sword Histoire was fed with memories to enhance its power, holding the history Histoire has spun), Mind Manipulation (A Neptune from another dimension could forcefully take out the consciousness of the Arfoire of her world from another Arfoire so she could bring it back to it), Illusion Creation (Stated herself to have used a mirage to make it look like she stripped when she actually didn't alongside Vert and Plutia during the R-18 Island episode of the anime.), Instinctive Reactions (Could subconsciously dodge attacks from Arfoire in the High School light novel), Explosion Manipulation (Has multiple attacks that cause spontaneous explosions), Life Manipulation (The Share Energy of the CPUs is what allows life to bloom in a dimension; an area with a high amount of Share Crystals will be abundant of natural life without a CPU. Removing the Crystal will cause the area to wither and die), Sealing (Sealed the Deity of Sin and also via the Nep-Note), Size Manipulation (The Nep-Note shrinks down things that are too large for it so they can fit inside), Power Mimicry (Neptune can utilize the powers of those sealed inside the Nep-Note), Power Nullification (Things inside of the Nep-Note are unable to utilize their powers), Dimensional Travel (Via using Croire's powers and through her own ability to open and close gates to other dimensions), Portal Creation (A Neptune from another dimension has displayed the ability to open and close gates to other dimensions in the High School light novel), Spatial Manipulation (The "History Sword Croire" can slice through dimensions), Vibration Manipulation, Matter Manipulation (Sub-Atomic; With the "Resonance Blade", a set of twin swords which resonate with each-other and vibrate at an atomic level, being able to break down even atoms when attacking), Creation (Can create a giant sword or pudding that falls out of the sky), Data Manipulation (Able to utilize Flag Items, which are made up of data. Can also harm beings that are made up of only data), Resistance Negation (With her "[Element] Weaken" skills, Neptune can lower the resistance her foes have to certain elements, either making them take normal damage or giving them a weakness if they didn't have a resistance in the first place), Law Manipulation (A Neptune from another dimension is stated to be capable of changing the laws of the universe if she so desired by CFW Magic in "Chou Jigen Game Neptune: High School", a light novel the series has), Body Control (When wearing the Bravo Suit, her limbs can extend over long distances, and her neck, allowing for a long range headbutt), Pain Suppression (Highly resistant to physical pain to the point she can run up a mountain of spikes without her shoes on, take a bath in lava, and sit on spikes with a weight on her legs with no pain whatsoever, even calling it nothing in comparison to Histoire's scolding), Danmaku (Can summon many blades to launch at the opponent and can fire a massive storm of bullets in an instant.), Unpredictability (Has been noted to be quite unpredictable in some scenarios), Statistics Amplification (Through "BFF", "Do Your Best!", "Stat Multiplier", "Heat Up", etc), Statistics Reduction (Through "Who Did This!? Nova", "Cool Down!", "Even Nep's Shocked"/"Planeptune CPUs", "Condemnation Light", etc), Afterimage Creation (Similarly to Rom and Ram, she should be capable of creating afterimages with just her speed), Social Influencing (Is able to gain favor of citizens of Gamindustri, which generates shares, which is where her power derives from. Is noted to be particularly charismatic in the "Thanksgiving (Festival) Full of Nep-Nep" OVA) ), Death Manipulation (Some of her attacks have a chance of inflicting the "Doom" status, which instantly kills the one afflicted after a short period if not removed), Mind Control Negation and Resistance (Those with sufficient share energy nullify mind control placed on themselves and those around them. Shown when healing Rom from her brainwashing in MK2/Re;Birth 2, which was noted to only be initially possible due to a lack of shares), Curse Negation (A Neptune from another dimension has dispelled multiple curses from another version of herself before in the High School light novel), Reactive Power Level and Resistance to Knockback, Fire Manipulation, Ice Manipulation, Air Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Earth Manipulation, Poison Manipulation, Light Manipulation, Darkness Manipulation, Statistics Reduction, Status Effect Inducement (In the form of Paralysis, Transformation Negation, Poison, Power Nullification, Apathy, Confusion, Shadow Bind, Stun, Transmutation, Petrification), Death Manipulation (Is immune to the "Doom" status, which instantly kills others), Reduced damage from Human, Dragon, Ghost, Insect, Plant, Aquatic, Slime, Avian, Data, Alien, Animal, Machine and Inorganic enemies and against Physical, Magical and Elemental attacks via Game Discs. (see here, here, here, here and here.), Resistance to Cosmic Radiation (Should have similar capabilities to Noire, who could survive and talk while in space), Absolute Zero Ice (Can take ice attacks from Blanc, Rom, and Ram, whose ice attacks are stated to be this cold), Existence Erasure, Space-Time Manipulation (Can take hits from Dark CPUs, who's attacks seemed to rip apart the fabric of space and time itself according to Nepgear and are directly stated by the Nepedia to erase things from existence.), Conceptual Manipulation, (Can take and survive hits from the remade Dark CPUs, which have the abilities of the Next Forms, which would include Conceptual Manipulation and Spatial Manipulation), Magma Manipulation, Heat Manipulation (Can take a bath in a molten blood bath with no repercussions), Soul Manipulation (Tanked an attack from Supreme Ruler Yama, the ruler of Hell, that was intended to destroy her soul and completely nullified it upon transforming), Sealing (With "Nepu Guard", she is immune to the "Seal" status), Mind Manipulation (Unaffected by CFW Magic's mind control machine, which could mind control every citizen of Planeptune at once. The continent of Planeptune contains a significant portion of Gamindustri's 50 billion person population)

All abilities of her base form on an enhanced scale alongside:

Teleportation (In her break skill "Royal Assault Force", she can be seen spamming teleportation around her target), Age Manipulation (The screws on Purple Heart's head can age a person by multiple years upon contact with them. The effects of the screws is likely not limited to aging up people and their effects are undone when the screws are no longer attached), Memory Manipulation (Removing both screws from Purple Heart's head with get rid of her memory until they're put back in), Enhanced Senses (HDD is shown to enhance one's eyesight, allowing Neptune to be able to see perfectly clearly whilst in the dark in "Chou Jigen Game Neptune: High School", a light novel the series has), Soul Manipulation (In Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed, her loading screen bio states she can reap the souls of her enemies), Hellfire Manipulation (4GO Purple Heart's "Burst Explosion" attack is stated to utilize hellfire to burn away the enemy with an explosion of it), more Fate Manipulation (4GO Purple Heart is stated to directly control fate and wields the Fortune Sword, which is stated to slice open destiny and can sever others from fate. 4GO Purple Heart is known as the Goddess of Fate, suggesting even more that she'd have control over fate in addition to the statements of her being able to do so)

All of the standard processor unit abilities in addition to Weapon Mastery (of a gunblade, which is wielded alongside a white version of Purple Heart's regular sword when using the Lilac COOL Processor Unit) and limited Telepathy (Can communicate with Lilac mk2 Purple Sister despite being in different dimensions)

All of the standard processor unit abilities in addition to Share Energy Manipulation (Higher End Applications; Due to possessing faith from the entirety of Gamindustri from the other goddesses, the deceased Heroes Quartet, etc. Faith of Gamindustri Purple Heart should likely have this level of output for her shares thanks to the amount of faith she has put in her in addition to her Share Amp, despite not displaying any abilities of the higher ends of Share Energy), Improved Conceptual Manipulation (Destruction and Creation; Due to the sheer amount of Share Energy she has, Faith of Gamindustri Purple Heart should be capable of doing things those with comparable or lesser amounts of shares can do. Superior to the Sharicite Blade in terms of amounts of Share Energy, which can completely erase things like the true Deity of Sin by only killing its manifestation. Should be superior to the original goddess in terms of amounts of Share Energy, who created True Histoire. Far superior Share amounts means she has exponentially superior concept manipulation to the regular, Lower End Share users'.)

All of the standard processor unit abilities in addition to Corruption (Type 3; Chaos Purple Heart only; As a Chaos Form, she can force Chaos Energy into others, corrupting them, changing their appearance and personality by giving them a Chaos Form of their own and at the same time, also converting them to be her ally), more Sealing (Chaos Purple Heart only; Through "Chaos Bind"), more Damage Reduction (Chaos Purple Heart only; "Innovation" is a passive skill that decreases all damage Chaos Purple Heart takes by 20% unless it's from a dark attribute enemy), more Damage Boost (With "Guardian Goddess", while she's in Chaos Form, all damage she deals against dark attribute enemies increases by 35%), Share Energy Manipulation (Higher End Applications; Chaos Purple Heart should have a similar level of output to Next Forms with her energy capabilities due to Chaos Forms being implied to be on the same level as Next Forms), Improved Conceptual Manipulation (Destruction and Creation; Chaos Purple Heart should have similar capabilities and level of output as Next Forms with her abilities due to Chaos Forms being implied to be on the same level as Next Forms, and thus shouldn't be drastically inferior to them in any way, including in abilities their attacks have.)

All abilities of Purple Heart on a greatly enhanced scale with the addition of another method of Spatial Manipulation (With Dimensional Slice, which rips apart the fabric of reality around the cut it makes and is implied and likely able to slice part dimensions), Improved Conceptual Manipulation (Destruction and Creation; Due to the sheer amount of Share Energy she has, she should be capable of doing things those with comparable or lesser amounts of shares can do. Superior to the Sharicite Blade in terms of amounts of Share Energy, which can completely erase things like the true Deity of Sin by only killing its manifestation. Should be superior to the original goddess in terms of amounts of Share Energy, who created True Histoire. Entirely superior to "Faith of Gamindustri" Purple Heart and should be capable of doing anything she can on a greater scale. Should be on an even greater scale with Dimensional Slice, which is noted to have the ability to slice apart the concept of what it hits [which is consistent with the original Japanese text, even being from a more objective viewpoint there] and should be superior to her regular conceptual abilities. Far superior Share amounts means she has exponentially superior concept manipulation to the regular, Lower End Share users'.), even more Damage Boost (In addition to their already immense power, attacks from Next Forms have their damage output boosted by 30%. "Blade of Evolution" increases Next Purple's damage against dark attribute foes by 35%), even more Damage Reduction (With "NEXT", Next Purple receives 35% less damage from dark attribute enemies), Limited Technopathy (?) (Can control the highly advanced pieces of futuristic technology that are attached to her hands in this form via an unknown method. Is able to use the technology on her back to act as a booster when performing her "Dimensional Slice" attack, also via unknown means. Can likely control the other technological parts of this form as well.), Pocket Reality Manipulation (In the transformation sequence for the Next Forms, they seem to create their own reality in which the transformation takes place, with Next White's even having a platform that was not present before inside it), Limited Power Nullification (Passive; With "Next Condition" the effects of external equipment that the opponent has [i.e armor, weapons, accessories etc.] are nullified as long as the Next Form is active. For example, Affimojas is normally immune to physical attacks from various characters as long as he has his cape [which in itself is also immune to physical damage from characters normally], but the Next Forms outright ignore this and deal regular damage with physical attacks. Another example is Steamax's shuriken, which normally has an added effect to bind those it hits in place for a period of time with Shadow Bind, however this is ineffective against Next Forms. Even characters immensely superior to Next Forms are not immune, as the likes of Dark Orange EX can still be affected by this, making her unable to inflict status debuffs. This effect bypasses normal resistances to power nullification that characters in Neptunia have.), Share Energy Manipulation (Higher End Applications; As a Next Form, Next Purple has a very large quantity of Share Energy and can wield it with far more ability than most other Share Energy wielders), Miracle Performing (Those with large amounts of shares are stated to be able to preform miracles. Even just the awakening of the Next Form is stated to acquired by a miracle. Next Purple's character page states she can create actual miracles with her power), and Corruption, Emotional Manipulation, Morality Manipulation, and Negative Energy Negation (Due to the sheer amount of share energy the Next form has, Kurome's corruption of the CPUs that made them hate their sisters was negated. The sheer amount of share energy within the Next form outright negates negative energy)

All abilities for respective keys on a dramatically enhanced scale

With Link Cards she gains the following: Statistics Amplification (At the start of battle her attack goes up by 634%, defense goes up by 480%, speed goes up by 357%, critical hit rate up by 20%. At the start of battle all nearby allies' attack goes up by 20%, defense goes up by 30%, speed goes up by 30%. Attack increases by 5% when being attacked.), Statistics Reduction (When being attacked, there is a 50% chance the attacker's attack is reduced by 3%, a 60% chance to reduce their defense by 5%, and 70% chance their speed is reduced by 10%.), Damage Reduction (By default incoming damage is reduced by 91%, has a 96.8% chance to negate all incoming damage), Healing (Of status ailments, debuffs, and health. Healing of health happens upon: attacking, beginning of a 'turn' before performing an action, and ending a 'turn' without doing an action with the exception of moving. Status ailments and debuffs have a high chance of being healed upon any of the conditions of healing health being met [except when attacking] or being attacked), Regeneration (Unknown degree, but likely High-Godly; regeneration from Link Cards shouldn't be inferior to the likes of regeneration given from items the verses that make up Mega Miracle Force, including Neptunia's Idea Chips, which can heal off damage from conceptual attacks from the complete Dark CPUs), Resurrection (Upon being knocked out or killed, she automatically resurrects with 190% health and gets a 15% buff to attack, a 20% buff to defense, and a 15% buff to speed), Statistics Amplification Negation (Whenever she attacks, there is a 49.375% chance to negate any buffs her target has), and Cooldown Reduction (Upon any of the conditions for healing [except when attacking] or whenever she's being attacked, there is a high chance of reducing the cooldown on her skills that have one, with a chance of outright fully depleting the cooldown)

Attack Potency: Outerverse level (Ultra Dimension Neptune fought against both Vert and Nepgear, both of whom were likely in HDD [meaning, she was likely fighting Green Heart and Purple Sister] whilst holding back a large amount of her power.), higher in Awakening (While active, her power gets a significant increase), far higher when activating her potential (Massively superior to her regular state. Can create an endless alternate reality with a mere thought. Me was describing potential activation as something that feels like Super Saiyan, but cut herself off.) | Outerverse level (Stronger than her normal self without Soul Connect), higher in Awakening (While active, her power gets a significant increase), far higher when activating her potential | Varies, Outerverse level with low to average shares (Far stronger than her base form, above Histoire Manifestations/Avatars), far higher when activating her potential, Outerverse level with high shares (Fought and defeated HDD Rei with help from the other CPUs), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Stronger than her normal self without Soul Connect), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Immensely superior to standard Purple Heart as a result of this form being created as result of Purple Heart and Purple Sister sharing power with each-other and in turn presumably enacting Share Energy Resonance), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (After the amount of power she can get from shares being dramatically increased, she, alongside the other 3 post share amp CPUs can fight against and defeat an Arfoire that stole the power of all four Pre-Share amp goddesses [each of which upon their creation were given power equal to a fourth of that of the original goddess, who created True Histoire] and had an amp from the fear of the citizens of Gamindustri), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (After attaining the faith of everyone in Gamindustri, including the deceased Heroes Quartet, Purple Heart could fight against, defeat, and purify the Arfoire she fought against in her prior key with not too much difficulty despite being exhausted. The battle itself was unable to be recorded by Histoire. Likely comparable but inferior to Next Forms), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse Level (Scaling through multiple characters places her as being superior to Faith of Gamindustri Purple Heart. Her ingame stats are far superior to the norm and are comparable to Next Purple and Chaos Purple Heart), higher in Awakening (While active, her power gets a significant increase) | Outerverse Level (Several times superior to her Incomplete Soul Connect self. Comparable to Complete Soul Connect Next Purple and Complete Soul Connect Chaos Purple Heart), higher in Awakening (While active, her power gets a significant increase) | Outerverse level (Chaos Forms are implied to be on the same level as a Next Form), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Stronger than her normal self without Soul Connect. Should be comparable to Soul Connect Next Purple), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Superior to Prime HDD Rei, due to Next Forms being superior to any HDD prior to them. Fought against and defeated a Dark Orange that was weakened by a powered up Sharing Field alongside the other Next Forms and various other characters.), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Stronger than her normal self without Soul Connect), far higher when activating her potential

Speed: Irrelevant (Her sheer existence is beyond the concept of numerical dimensionality and by extension she and her speed cannot be defined by the speed formula. Has consistently fought against and kept up with manifestations of the Deity of Sin, which have stated that they were not limited by time.), higher with Boost (Increases her speed for its usage duration), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Faster than her normal self without Soul Connect), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Faster than before, crossed half a dimension in a short timeframe, fought the manifestation of the Deity of Sin in some endings of mk2/Re;Birth 2), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Faster than her normal self without Soul Connect), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Can move in the space in-between dimensions, a space connecting the infinite dimensions and their timeflows, of which is different for every dimension and thus would result in rapidly fluctuating flows of time in the area, and thus necessitating this level of speed to move normally), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Superior to True Histoire), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Superior to Faith of Gamindustri Purple Heart. Comparable to Next Purple and Chaos Purple Heart) | Irrelevant (Several times superior to her Incomplete Soul Connect self) | Irrelevant (Far superior to her regular Post Share amp self by at bare minimum four times. Likely comparable but inferior to Next Forms), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Chaos Forms are implied to be on the same level as a Next Form), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Faster than her normal self without Soul Connect. Should be comparable to Soul Connect Next Purple), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Superior to her Faith of Gamindustri form and Prime HDD Rei, as Next Forms are far superior than any HDD before them. Fought Dark Orange, who is superior to the Zero Dimension Deity of Sin.), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Faster than her normal self without Soul Connect), higher with Boost, far higher when activating her potential

Lifting Strength: Irrelevant (Ultra Dimension Neptune should be at least comparable to HDD CPUs like Green Heart, seeing as she could fight against and hold her own against Green Heart and Purple Sister whilst holding back), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Stronger than her normal self without Soul Connect), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant, far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Stronger than her normal self without Soul Connect), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Far stronger than standard Purple Heart), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Superior to True Histoire), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Far superior to her normal Post-Share amp self), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Superior to Faith of Gamindustri Purple Heart. Comparable to Next Purple and Chaos Purple Heart) | Irrelevant (Several times superior to her Incomplete Soul Connect self) | Irrelevant (Chaos Forms are implied to be on the same level as a Next Form), far higher when activating her potential | Irrelevant (Stronger than her normal self without Soul Connect. Can block a hit from her HDD self in Super Neptunia RPG), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Superior to herself without Soul Connect), far higher when activating her potential | Varies, Outerverse level with low to average shares (Superior to her base form), far higher when activating her potential, Outerverse level with high shares (Could take hits from HDD Rei, who was about to destroy the Ultra Dimension, affecting the Hyper Dimension as well in the process, only to show off and lure the other CPUs. Should also be superior to herself with low to average shares), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Superior to herself without Soul Connect), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level, far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level, far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse Level | Outerverse Level | Outerverse level (Chaos Forms are implied to be on the same level as a Next Form), far higher when activating her potential | Outerverse level (Superior to her normal self without Soul Connect. Stamina: Extremely High (Ultra Dimension Neptune could continue traveling for a large period of time whilst on the brink of starvation. Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert had fought each other for thousands of generations without showing signs of tiring whilst in HDD, which constantly needs energy to use and maintain, and their fight was described by Black Heart as being nowhere near settled and by Green Heart as having only being a stalemate so far. The same fight was also described to have been lasting eons of time on a few occasions.) Higher with the T. Performance, Regenerate, and Regenerate SP Idea Chips (The best T. Performance Idea Chip decreases the energy needed to use her skills by 25% when transformed, the best Regenerate Idea Chip recovers 12% of her health after every turn, the best Regenerate SP Idea Chip recovers 6% of her SP every turn) Effectively limitless as Next Purple (Next Forms decrease the energy costs of single target skills by 60% and AoE skills by 50%. Applications of the T. Performance Chip are applied after the energy cost decrease of the Next form is applied. Meaning single targets skills cost 10% of their usual energy cost and AoE skills cost 12.5% of their normal energy cost after both effects are applied. Because of the highly decreased costs and her energy regeneration, she has effectively limitless stamina as she is always going to recover more energy than it can be drained through her own efforts, even if she spammed her most energy consuming skills repeatedly)

N-Gears, among other things, can store and organize a seemingly unltimited amount of items, hack government databases, make video calls across entire dimensions, and serve any purposes a normal phone or tablet would generally have.

  • Moonstone Hairpin: A Sacred Treasure guarded by Goddess White Heart.

    • Optional Equipment: Save Point and Reset Button (Clicking the save point makes a save for Neptune. Clicking the Reset Button will put her back at her most recent save point with her memories intact.), Bravo Suit, and Gehaburn (She has occasionally used the weapon in the conquest route of MK2/Re;Birth 2, specifically, to kill Blanc and Vert), The Final Hard, Neptank MK2

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius (Despite her normally seeming unintelligent at first glance, Neptune is far more intelligent than she lets on. Before being meteored into Virtua Forest from Celestia by the other goddesses, Neptune was noted to be very cunning and "evil". In spite of this happening, she at the very least seems to have retained her intelligence if nothing else. She created the "Neptune Fictitious Hard" console, which has specs far beyond anything humanity currently can produce and is implied to be self improving. She is also quite adept in her own style of fighting, with the majority of her techniques being self-developed and being able to combo into each-other. Has been in combat for almost the entirety of her life, having only minuscule amounts of her life [in comparison to her age] not being in combat [at most a couple decades]. Neptune can control and operate the highly advanced futuristic technology that is part of her Next Form via unknown means even after just getting the form with no issues whatsoever. Has also developed the "Nep Bull EX"; a very potent healing drink capable of fully healing those who drink it; with her sister. Is the sole developer of a type of healing drinks known as "Nep Bull", albeit it some are less potent than later incarnations of the series of drinks such as the "Nep Bull EX" she developed with her sister. Could come up with something that only she can apparently do that lessens the effect of Anti-Crystals [A goddess' main weakness in the manga and anime] by making its effects take longer to fully kick in. Has developed her own healing drink that was shown to be able heal stomach aches called "Dr. Nepper" when trying to make a new specialty for her nation. Knowledgeable in weapon design, as she was stated to have designed one of IF's weapons. Could fully modify a bullet in a few seconds to function the exact same as a firework when fired. Was also able to apply bandages to herself better than Compa, a nurse in training, was able to. She has memorized several digits of pi. Knowledgeable in warfare and military tactics, as all four of the main goddesses were shown to be at war with each other for an extended period of time in Hyperdevotion Noire. Ultra Dimension Neptune, under the guise of being a ditz, was able to sabotage AffimaX, an organization with significant amounts of knowledge of all of Gamindustri, with no-one none the wiser and being undiscovered until far after she achieved the goals she wanted out of it. Should be comparable in intelligence to Nepgear)

Weaknesses: Neptune doesn't usually think things through sometimes and is quite lazy and a bit of a klutz, although (in the Super Dimension), she originally wasn't like this and she only started being this way after losing her memories from being spiked into Virtua Forest in Planeptune all the way from Celestia by the other goddesses. As Purple Heart, she's overconfident but this mellowed down after a while. Her Goddess Powers are powered by the Share Energy of her Continent Planeptune (Share Energy is basically the amount of Faith the people put into the Goddess). So if her Share Energy were to be drained then her transformation will be canceled out. She also hates Eggplants to an astounding decree where one time when she was being attacked by flying eggplants, she immediately stopped her transformation and ran away. However, if the eggplant is modified in some way so it no longer resembles an eggplant (like being extremely enlarged), Neptune won't be phased by it. Croire will try and leave Neptune the whenever she gets the chance to. Removing screws from Purple Heart's head will have an effect upon removing either one or both. Removing one alters her personality and removing both gets rid of her memory until they're put back in. Gems that add elements to her weapons cannot stack with each-other to provide multiple elemental effects on her weapon, she can only have one or none at all. The power from the Awakening state is only temporary, but this is mitigated by the Faith Gem (Doubles the Awakening Gauge's recovery rate) and Belief Gem (Doubles the effect time of the Awakening Gauge)

    Feats:

    • Super Dimension Post-Share Amp Purple Heart, after gaining the faith of all of Gamindustri, defeated an Arfoire who had stolen the powers of all four Pre-Share Amp goddesses, an amp from the fear of Gamindustri's citizens, transformed into a stronger state, and was about to destroy Celestia, with presumably little effort despite being exhausted (the other CPUs, who were in a similar state to her in terms of stamina, were unable to move and needed assisstance from Makers to get out of Celestia) in Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1
    • Hyper Dimension Neptune, alongside others, help fight and defeat the incarnation of the Deity of Sin in some routes of Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2/Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2: Sisters Generation

    • Ultra Dimension Neptune fought against and contended with Green Heart and Purple Sister whilst holding back in the Leanbox route of the Hyper Dimension Neptunia G: The Golden Leaders, Reconstructors of Gamindustri arc of Megadimension Neptunia VII/Megadimension Neptunia VIIR

    • Next Purple sliced through the delusion within Affimojas, only to actually end up doing slicing apart the entirety of the delusiion within all of Gamindustri at the end of the Hyper Dimension Neptunia G: The Golden Leaders, Reconstructors of Gamindustri arc of Megadimension Neptunia VII/Megadimension Neptunia VIIR
    • Hyper Dimension Neptune, with help from others, defeated Dark Orange after she was put in a powered up sharing field in the Heart Dimension Neptunia H: Trilogy Finale: Into Legend arc, the final arc of Megadimension Neptunia VII/Megadimension Neptunia VIIR

    Notable Attacks/Techniques:

    • Form Skills
      • Hard Drive Divinity (HDD): Due to Neptune's status as a goddess, she is able to draw power from share energy and transform into her goddess form: Purple Heart. Neptune gains many benefits from her goddess form, not limited to just being all around more powerful than before.
        • Chaos Form: After being corrupted with Chaos Energy, Purple Heart gained access to a new, stronger form called Chaos Purple Heart that can freely manipulate Chaos Energy.
          • Chaos Energy: Chaos Energy is an energy that was created when multiple verses merged together in the events of NepNep☆Connect: Chaos Chanpuru. Weilders of Chaos Energy can freely manipulate it for various purposes. Chaos Energy can corrupt others by forcing Chaos Energy into them, which grants them a Chaos Form, improving their abilities. The corruption from Chaos Energy does a few things besides granting the Chaos Form. It alters the corrupted one's personality and also converts them to being an ally for the one who corrupted them. It's likely this isn't the full extent of Chaos Energy's applications, although that likely remain unknown, as NepNep☆Connect: Chaos Chanpuru is now no longer playable and Mega Miracle Force, the only other game to have Chaos Forms, lacks translations.
          • Guardian Goddess of Chaos: Passive skill that increases statistical parameters of all dark and light attribute allies by 40%.
          • Chaos: Passive skill that increases all of Chaos Purple Heart's stats by a further 25%.
          • Innovation: Passive skill that decreases all damage Chaos Purple Heart takes by 20% unless it's from a dark attribute enemy.
        • Next Form: After first awakening the form through the Hyper Share Crystal, Neptune has gained the ability to transform into her Next Form: Next Purple. Next Forms are far stronger than any previous HDD.
          • Next Condition: A passive ability the Next Form has that, as long as the transformation is active, nullifies the abilities of the equipment the opponent has. For example, the physical damage immunity that Affimojas' cape grants him and the ability of Shadow Bind that Steamax's shuriken can inflict is ineffective in the face of the Next Forms. Even characters immensely superior to Next Forms are not immune, as the likes of Dark Orange EX can still be affected by this, making her unable to inflict status debuffs. This effect bypasses normal resistances to power nullification that characters in Neptunia have.
          • Blade of Evolution: Increase damage dealt against dark attribute characters by 35%.
          • Next Form (Skill): A passive skill that, while in Next Form, makes all parameters for light attribute allies, including Next Purple, boosted by an additional 40% on top of their current stats.

If a Neptunia ship is present in with her, her own damage increases by 10% and damage received is reduced by 6%. Also increases her own damage by 2%, and decreases damage received by 1% for each Neptunia ship, excluding herself, present. (Characters labeled as a "Neptunia ship" are Neptune, Noire, Blanc, Vert, Purple Heart, Black Heart, White Heart, and Green Heart due to being the characters present in the Azur Lane crossover.) Neptune has also stated this aura of hers is also the cause behind the unnatural events and phenomena involving her (aka: her fatehax and plothax) after certain things happening during the events of the crossover.
      • Protagonist of Protagonists: Passive skill that increases all stats of herself and her allies by 35%.
      • Protagonist Correction: Passive skill that increases Neptune's stats by 65%. Can be used as an active skill to boost her stats by an additional 25% for a turn. Can be used as an active skill to lower the EX Gauge of her enemies by two and boost her own attack power even further.
      • Seriousness Breaker: Reduces damage Neptune and her party receives by 20%.
      • Goddess: Passive skill increases Neptune's attack power by 20% for each light attribute ally in her party, including herself. Also increases damage against dark attribute enemies.
      • Guardian Goddess: Passive skill that increases damage against dark attribute characters by 35% and reduces damage she takes from dark attribute characters by 26%. Also increases her own stats by 65%. Stat boost goes up to 85% in Next Form. In Chaos Form, her damage against dark attribute enemies increases by 35%.

      • 32-bit Megablade: Neptune surrounds herself an circle of light while a blade forms in the air, which she then launches at the opponent which, upon landing, the blade causes a pillar of energy to erupt from below where it lands.
      • Victory Slash: Neptune goes towards the opponent while slashing them with slashes that form a formation shaped like a "V" which leave energy waves behind where the opponent was slashed. These energy waves then explode into a purple energy as Neptune arrives behind the opponent. In the anime, a blazing "V" appears behind her as she goes towards her target before dissipating as she launches herself at even higher speeds off of a glyph before attacking her target with a piercing slash(es), and while it isn't directly seen in the anime, it's likely a set of slashes forming "V" like its game counterpart.
      • Delta Slash: Neptune's sword becomes engulfed in a purple energy before she slashes towards the opponent, launching two energy slashes towards the opponent that, if they connect they form the top portion of a delta and trapping the opponent in a cube of energy, after which Neptune spins around and launches another energy slash that completes the delta. Upon the energy slashes forming the delta they alongside the box explode into a white energy. Each hit's individual power is almost the exact same as the power per hit of her "Neptune Break" EXE Drive, although Delta Slash has less hits involved.

In the attack, (what is presumably) share energy is charged for a few seconds in her gunblade before being fired off as multiple beams that quickly merge into one, far larger beam that flashes in the colors of a rainbow as it strikes the target(s), causing an explosion.

    • Nep-Note: A notebook that, like its game version, can seal entities inside it, providing their powers for the wielder by draining it from them and making them unable to use their own powers for the duration they're in the book, albeit with the same limitations of the sealed one. Unlike its game version however, it hasn't displayed the limitation of being able to be broken out of with enough power.
    • Generator Unit: A piece of equipment reminiscent of the CPUs' Processor Units. As noted with it having the "Artificial Megami Sys" bit labeled in one of its official arts, it's intended to replicate the capabilities of an HDD CPU, to which it does effectively, being capable of keeping pace alongside HDD CPUs in combat as seen in gameplay screenshots. Conveniently, it has a trunk form that allows for an easy means of carrying it around.
    • Nep Slash: An attack the dimensional traveler Neptune displayed against a group of monsters while wearing the Generator Unit, in which she charges in and unleashes a flurry of slashes around herself to assault her foe(s).

  • Jumping First: An attack used by Neptune GT against the real world Neptune, but was interrupted. This is a maneuver in which she charges her foe as if to strike them, but instead jumps into the air behind them, redirects her movement, and launches back at her foe to strike them from behind.

      • Soul Connect: Soul Connect is a feature within Mega Miracle Force that only some characters have access to, and even then takes a long period of time to even fully complete, as it takes a large amount of materials to max out even just one character's Soul Connect. First, a character's parameters must be at their limit to even start working towards it (In Mega Miracle Force, this means limit breaking to be 5 star, hitting level 80 [the max in the game], and then level 5 affection). To even unlock the ability to use Soul Connect for a character, one needs 100 Clear Seeds and 100 Soul Fragments, to max out a character's Soul Connect one needs an additional 880 Clear Seeds and 1,390 Soul Crystals of a specific type. When maxed out, a character's stats increase dramatically and their abilities gain new effects on top of their already existing ones. When reading the following skills, the listed effects will assume the character has a maxed Soul Connect (if they can even utilize it).
        • The raw statistical boost one gets from Soul Connect is around a 2.5 to 3 times statistical boost

    • Skills (Light Novel Neptune):
      • Hyper Convulsion Strike: Neptune repeatedly punches the opponent at speeds that make the speed of punching 16 times a second look pitiful. These punches are made in a way to send vibrations through the entirety of the target's body.
      • Hyper Lightning Kick: Neptune so called "killer move" in which she delivers a powerful kick to her foe.

    Notes[]

    • Note 1: I don't have much knowledge of Neptunia related material that lacks many translations, such as Mega Miracle Force, so if anyone could inform me of any notable information from sources such as that, it would be appreciated if you could inform me about it either in the comments here, or on my wall.
Feel free to inform me via any means you can about any additional things I may have forgotten to include on this page.
      • Note 1.5: My profiles for the series also lacks info from several games that I haven't gotten information from, be it having not completed the game, not having gotten around to watching a playthrough due to being unable to play it myself, etc. A compilation of the most notable games that I lack info on will be listed at the bottom of my user page.
    • Note 2: To see the deal with the cosmology and why the ratings are as such, please look at the verse page, which explains it in the 'Explanations' section.
    • Note 3: The "Share amp" noted in the Purple Heart keys is not an outright amp from shares, but rather an event during the story of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 which gave an amplification to the shares themselves, increasing the effects and output of shares to far higher levels despite having an amount lesser than what their current output should normally necessitate.
      • Note 3.5: The Purple Heart key labeled as "Pre-Share Amp" takes into consideration not only the pre-amp Purple Heart of the Super Dimension, but the Purple Hearts of other dimensions that haven't undergone anything similar (aka, every other Purple Heart so far). Any of my pages scaling to Purple Heart (Or the other three of the four main CPUs) are scaling to the Pre-Share amp key unless otherwise specified, including the Complete Soul Connect Purple Heart key .
    • Note 4: Despite me lacking any solid statements of the fact, I have Chaos Purple at a similar level to Next Purple because of a couple things. One, I've heard the statement of Chaos Forms being comparable to Next Form supposedly exists. Two, in the games where both Chaos and Next Forms are present, in-game they're statistically close to each-other (comparing Chaos HDD goddess vs Next Form goddesses) while generally outclassing most other units, with each sometimes having a somewhat slight edge over the other in a stat or two. Three, at least in the case for Neptune, have similar attacks, with Chaos Forms having "Chaos" variations of at least some of the skills the Next Forms have.
