Summary[]

Sonic the Hedgehog is the main character and protagonist of his franchise with the same name, as well as being the longtime main mascot for Sega.

Sonic is commonly portrayed as the anthropomorphic hedgehog who succeeds against evil, commonly by using his trademark speed abilities and reflexes. Ever since the nefarious Doctor Eggman started endangering the world and the animals he abducts, Sonic has always been there to ultimately topple any scheme he could've hatched, all while rocking that legendary 90's attitude. However, even someone as slick as him needs some additional support every now and then. This includes Miles "Tails" Prower, the loyal fox with an outstanding intellect. the slower but stronger Knuckles the Echidna, and even his edgy doppelgänger rival Shadow the Hedgehog helps him out sometimes. Even when things are looking rough for the future, Sonic always manages to keep that cocky smile on his face, knowing very well there is always a solution. Well, for him, it mostly revolves around running at super speeds.

Attack Potency: At least Small Country level, likely Multi-Continent level. Sonic broke the some of the chain links that held Little Planet near Earth, which was calculated to be this powerful. | Ranges from Large Planet level to Multi-Solar System level. In Sonic Battle, Sonic took down Ultimate Emerl after being powered by the Final Egg Blaster. He destroyed the Nega-Wisp Armor in Sonic Colors, who is capable of generating this much energy. On a similar note, he bested the EggRobo in Sonic Lost World, who generated this much energy. He succeeded against Master Core: ABIS in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, who is capable of creating black holes that have been stated numerous times to have the power of destroying the entire planet. After he was defeated, the black hole vanished. In Sonic Unleashed, he took down the Egg Dragoon, who was created by Imperfect Dark Gaia. Thus, he should be remotely similar. Imperfect Dark Gaia's presence alone shattered the planet into pieces. While Sonic struggled against him, he is able to harm Infinite by himself in Sonic Forces, who created a massive star that was said to be similar to the Sun. Sonic can also take down beings who can create and manipulate realms. He toppled the Guardian of Babylon in Sonic Riders. He supposedly created Babylon Garden, which is a realm that contained a moon and potentially a sun. He also defeated Erazor Djinn in Sonic and the Secret Rings, who can casually manipulate Night Palace, a realm with numerous stars. Sonic is now able to defeat Perfect Chaos in his base form. Perfect Chaos harnessed the negative energy of the Chaos Emeralds, and back in Sonic Adventure, Sonic needed his Super form to harness the positive energy from them to defeat Chaos. However, thanks to Sonic Generations, he no longer needs an additional form. In Sonic Forces, he defeated the Death Egg Robot, who is capable of creating and manipulating a realm with numerous stars in it. This said realm collapses upon defeat. Defeated Solaris, who could casually consume multiple dimensions at a time, and was stated to have the ability to consume all existing timelines. He was also created from the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic is commonly referred to as one of the fastest beings in his own universe. There are even official sources that consistently state that he can can exceed lightspeed. In Sonic Colors, (Nintendo DS) E-123 Omega, a robot created by Dr. Eggman, one of the smartest known beings in the Sonic the Hedgehog verse, scanned the hedgehog, and concluded that if he kept running, the speed of light would be exceeded, and Sonic himself replies that lightspeed is casual for him. In Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic ran endlessly until he found his way back into his own world. Sonic is also able to stand his ground perfectly against the gravitational pull of black holes. As seen in Sonic Runners Adventure, Sonic can cruise his way across numerous stars in a short time frame. As mentioned with Attack Potency, Sonic is likely also getting steadily faster. | Varies. Standard Equipment: Other than items that give him extra abilities and artifacts granting him a boost of energy and power, N/A, since he doesn't tend to casually carry of this with him.

Intelligence: Gifted academically. Sonic can master any new ability he receives in usually an instant. He even self taught himself how to ride his Extreme Gear. This allowed him to beat other masters of vehicles such as Jet the Hawk and Metal Sonic. Genius-level combat skill. (Sonic also self-taught himself how to defend for himself. He's capable of using a plethora of techniques used to defeat enemies, many of which almost instantly. Sonic's also developed his own personal fighting style based on his popular Spin-Dash technique. He's also had loads of experience with using his natural superhuman speed. He can use this speed as an advantage for combat, and is almost never losing control of his sharp turns or reflexes with. Sonic is also an excellent acrobat, as his lightning fast reflexes usually have him avoid almost anything, even in dangerous or tight situations. His martial arts and combat styles have consistently been able to outspeed and outstrength tons of powerhouses and super scientists. He's also a master swordsman, and learned how to use the Excalibur in less than a day. He also develops his own techniques using the Excalibur, such as combining it with his notable Spin-Dash to perform a buzzsaw attack.

Weaknesses: Sonic's character can be partially summarized as cocky and He can also be very clumsy and negligent at times. This can lead him to do things he wholeheartedly regrets later on. Sonic suffers from aquaphobia--although this isn't consistently evident--but nonetheless can't swim, literally at all. Instead, he's basically a moving stone underwater.
