Summary[]
Furina de Fontaine or Furina is a playable Hydro character in Genshin Impact and the pseudo-Hydro Archon of Fontaine. Flamboyant and imprudent, Furina lives for the thrill of the courtroom, often speaking in a manner peppered with bravado and drama. She is impatient and has a childlike temper, and she will occasionally make judgments that she doesn't mean.
It is later revealed that Furina was not the true Hydro Archon. Rather she is the human aspcet of Focalor left behind after the latter removed all her divinity and stored her conciousness in the Oratrice Mecanique D'Analyse Cardinale. She was then cursed by Focalors to live forever to play the part of the Hydro Archon, all in order to decieve the heavenly principles and avert the profecy of Fontaine's destruction. Furina however was not aware of Focalor's greater plan and spent 500 years trying to find a way to prevent the prophecy believing that had she failed it would mean the end of the entire nation.
During the events of Masquerade of the Guilty her secret was revealed to the people of Fontaine. Despite this, Focalor was able to complete her plan by destroying her conciousness thus allowing Neuvillette to regain his draconic authority and revert the disaster of Fontaine. With Focalors death Furina's curse had been lifted and she was able to finally live as a normal human, later being granted a vision by Neuvillette.

Cursed Human: Immortality (Type 1 and 8: Was cursed by Focalor to stay alive for as long as Focalor's divinity existed), Indomitable Will (Spend 500 years of lonelyness and secrecy trying to find a way to prevent the proficy of Fontaine's destruction, a feat that the Raiden Shogun believes would require "godly willpower"), Inorganic Physiology (People of Fontaine are oceanids made of priomordial seawater given a human form, however their physiology is still fundamentally different from humans ), Underwater Breathing (Was shown several times ot be able to breathe underwater). Allogene: Magic and Water Manipulation via Hydro Vision, Summoning and Limited Telekinesis (Can freely summon and telekinetically move her primary weapon), Forcefield Creation (like all Allogenes, Furina can erect an elemental shield to defend against attacks from far stronger opponents), Summoning and Healing (Can summon several Hydro creatures that either attack or heal herself), Water Walking (Can walk on water), Weapon Creation (Can create and throw a blade of water), Statistics Amplification (With Let the People Rejoice), Resistance to Disease Manipulation and Emotional Manipulation (Vision users can resist the effects of Smaragdus Jadeite), Corruption (Elemental beings can withstand the effects of Xiao's accumulated karma).

Notable Attacks and Techniques:
- Pneuma/Ousia: Furina is able to switch between a Pneuma and an Ousia allignement.
Hydro Vision: A Vision is a gift from the gods of Teyvat, or in this case Neuvillette, that allows humans to wield elemental powers, turning them into Allogenes. Furina's Vision is Hydro-attributed, thus granting her the ability to freely manipulate water.
- Arkhe: Seats Sacred and Secular: As Furina attacks with her sword, a Spiritbreath Thorn or a Surging Blade will descend based on her current alignment
- Salon Solitaire: Furina invites the guests of the Salon Solitaire to come forth and abet in her performance. She will summon either the Salon Members or the Singer of Many Waters based on Furina's current Arkhe alignment.
- Foaming Bubbles: If Furina is aligned with Osuia she will summon 3 Salon Members: the Ball Octopus-shaped Gentilhomme Usher, the Bubbly Seahorse-shaped Surintendante Chevalmarin, and the Armored Crab-shaped Mademoiselle Crabaletta. They will attack nearby opponents with Hydro at intervals.
- Singer of Many Waters: If Furina is Pneuma aligned she will summon the Singer of Many Waters who will heal Furina as well as her nearby allies
- Let the People Rejoice: Rouses the impulse to revel, creating a stage of foam that will deal AoE Hydro damage based on Furina's Max HP and cause nearby allies to enter the Universal Revelry state, increasing their damage output and healing.
