Summary
Garou. The Hero Hunter. The Human Monster. A major antagonist throughout the One-Punch Man series and the final adversary of the Human Monster Saga. Garou debuts in a meeting held by the Hero Association, attempting to recruit notorious criminals in hopes of strengthening their forces against the danger spoken of in seer Shibabawa's prophecy. Garou stood out among the outlaws by rejecting the association's invitation to join forces, threatening to wipe out every hero and villain in the meeting room. Sure enough, he lived up to his word, proving himself to be the unbiased evil he boasts of being. Garou was fueled by his anger towards the hypocrisy of heroes and their "justice," he sympathized with villains who had always done their utmost yet came up short when faced with the big, strong heroes praised and loved by the masses, and so he began his Hero Hunt.
Garou would go on to hunt down many heroes; not even the elite S-Class, as in Tanktop Master and Metal Bat, were safe from him and his vicious martial arts. He adopted his own style built upon the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, which he had learned from none other than the master martial artist and S-Class hero, Bang. The Hero Hunter was once his top pupil, until one day he got sick of his training; he took it upon himself to wipe his fellow students out while Bang was gone, forcing almost everyone to quit. His Hero Hunt attracted the attention of his former master, who swore to put an end to Garou's madness with the help of his brother, to put down this demon he created. Yet the Human Monster was resilient beyond anyone's expectations, not even a high-ranking S-Class hero in Bang could defeat him so easily. After a series of hard-fought battles and a confrontation with Bang and Bomb, Garou would find himself in the clutches of the Monster Association. Its advisor, Gyoro Gyoro, would repeatedly attempt to recruit him, eager to turn him into the most terrifying, most powerful monster, even greater than the Monster King Orochi thanks to his extraordinary adaptability and ability to grow.
Garou proved himself to be defiant. Hero Association, Monster Associations, he took them all on, growing rapidly in doing so as he took it upon himself to become a monster his way. To become the absolute evil, the symbol of fear he aspired to be. To achieve Disaster Level: God.

Origin: One-Punch Man
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Classification: Human (Later became a Half-Monster, then a full Monster), Martial Artist, Super Fight Champion, Avatar of God (Cosmic Fear Mode)
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Superhuman Athleticism, Acrobatics (Can move around in mid-air to dodge attacks) Martial Arts, Extrasensory Perception (Sensed he was being watched by a monster. Sensed the killing intent of the heroes surrounding his hideout), Accelerated Development (Rapidly improves by fighting powerful opponents. Garou's senses were sharpened to a higher extent than before after losing to Watchdog Man), Adaptation (Garou's eyes adjusted to Golden Ball's attacks, allowing him to dodge all his shots even in darkness with minimal movement, then deflect them with the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist. He even deflected one shot into another to cancel both out), Instinctive Reactions (Water Stream allows its user's body to move on its own in times of crisis[1], which Garou showed when he countered Tanktop Master's finishing blow by accidentally using the technique. Dodged an attack from a blind spot just by instinct), Regeneration (Mid-Low; Seemed to heal up on his own after being beaten up badly by Tanktop Master. Healed a stab wound in his hand just by wrapping it), Attack Reflection (Redirected Smile Man's attack at Chain'n'toad, taking him out), Analytical Prediction & Pressure Point Strikes (Mangled Heavy Tank Loincloth's arm. Tanktop Master explains that Garou uses advanced martial arts, that his technique is vicious; he can dodge and parry attacks, anticipate moves, and return his opponent's strength twofold. He can also incapacitate physical functions by attacking joints and vital spots; he possesses special techniques for breaking people. Garou said he could predict King's potential next moves by analyzing his line of vision and center of gravity), Surface Scaling (Latched onto a wall and deflected a tanktopper's attack while on it), Preparation (Garou is willing to look into his targets' abilities before fighting them. He did this at the last second before engaging Death Gatling's squad which ended up making a difference in their fight), Power Mimicry (Copied Watchdog Man's movements and fighting style while fighting Genos. Replicated the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist after having fought Bomb once), Empowerment (Anger seemed to have made him stronger at the end of his fight with Bang and Bomb), Pain Suppression & Indomitable Will (Fought through brutal beatdowns, and has laughed off attacks that made him bleed. Garou can become a monster, which entails him experiencing a hell tailored to him that completely overloads the body and spirit), Resistance to: Electricity Manipulation (Unharmed by being punched into a power line and electrocuted), Poison Manipulation (Fought through Shooter's poison and gained the advantage over Death Gatling's group instead of being weakened), Death Manipulation, Mind Manipulation & Power Nullification (In order to become a monster, one must overcome death multiple times. The side effects of monsterization include deteriorating intelligence and stagnated growth. As a Half-Monster, Garou even started breaking his limiter)
Regeneration (Low-Mid; Regenerated from injuries inflicted upon him from Royal Ripper's slashes. Healed a hole in his abdomen. Presumably healed from Darkshine breaking his ribs. Much later on, in his fight with Saitama, Garou healed his obliterated arm), Fusionism (His wounds and clothing hardened and stuck together after he healed from his aforementioned injuries), Healing (Garou can replenish his blood by eating things like monsters), Enhanced Senses (When confronted by Overgrown Rover, Garou's heartrate accelerated and his skin tightened, which was his body sending him warning signals that Rover was really strong and that he must avoid an immediate confrontation with him), Reactive Evolution & Reactive Power Level (Tareo noted that Garou was getting stronger during his fight with Super Mouse, Showerhead, and Unihorn. Survived Rover's blast that was powerful enough to kill him, which he presumably did by his body adapting to it before he could die. After this, he became strong enough to knock Rover down, whereas he couldn't even make him flinch beforehand. Gyoro Gyoro called Garou's adaptability extraordinary, with Garou suspecting this was the result of fighting spirit), Air Manipulation (Using the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist), Superior Instinctive Reactions (Fought Puri-Puri Prisoner and Darkshine initially in his sleep), Superior Pain Suppression (Fought through a hole in his chest. Got back up after Darkshine shattered his ribs), Afterimage Creation (Formed afterimages while attacking Darkshine, who later compared him to dozens of martial artists attacking him), Transformation (Underwent a transformation after his fight with Darkshine that covered his body in a shell), Shockwave Creation & Durability Negation (Garou can use the Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist on his own, allowing him to unleash shockwaves that can break every bone in Bang's body if hit by the technique. Garou wound up defeating Bang with this just by barely grazing him), Electricity Manipulation (His attack on Saitama with his perfected fist unleashed electricity), Resistance to: Heat Manipulation (Took Showerhead's steaming hot water. Withstood super high temperature blasts from Orochi like it's no big deal), Acid Manipulation (Deflected Showerhead's "unknown chemicals," which included sulfuric acid), Telekinesis (Adapted to Gyoro Gyoro's psychic powers and slowly gained the ability to move while restrained by them), Mind Control (Do-S' whip had no effect on him even after being hit by it repeatedly for a while; Sweet Mask suspects it to be hypnosis through pain, where once you get hit your mind is stripped from you)
All previous abilities. Superior Analytical Prediction (Garou is always calculating Saitama's next move, and the move beyond that, and the move beyond that. He can read them all) and Durability Negation (Great Fa Jin targets the internal organs and tears them to shreds), Flight, Additional Limbs & Shapeshifting (Altered his body and grew a pair of wings and more arms), Burrowing & Energy Projection (Propelled himself with two energy waves and knocked Saitama deep into the ground), Gravity Manipulation, Magnetism Manipulation & Spatial Manipulation (Extreme Fa Jin caused the Earth's gravitational and magnetic fields to go crazy and caused a spatial distortion creating a hole in a dimensional seal)
All previous abilities. Self-Sustenance (Type 1; Fought Saitama out in space and on one of Jupiter's moons, Io, for a while), Enhanced Swimming (Launched himself out of the water), Blessed (Garou was given divine power by God and became his avatar), Higher-Dimensional Manipulation (Can utilize and overload hyperspace gates and channel all the forces of the universe through his fists), Radiation Manipulation (Garou passively emits cosmic radiations that allow him to kill people just by being around them), Superior Energy Manipulation (Can harness all the energy and forces of the universe), Superior Power Mimicry & Black Hole Generation (In martial arts, there are secret techniques called "shakkei" that allow one to borrow the power of nature by imitating the movements of living things. Garou copied Saitama's movements and matched his Consecutive Normal Punches. Caused a Gamma Ray Burst after understanding the flow of all the universe's energy. Saitama is limitlessly strong, so Garou planned to beat him by copying him limitlessly), Light Manipulation, Portal Creation & BFR (Copied Blast's Gravity Knuckle and portals, which can relocate attacks. Blast can trap people in his portals, which Garou escaped by opening his own and should be able to replicate. Can teleport anywhere in his range of sight. Used an attack unleashing a flash of light to push Saitama away towards outer space, whereas he used his portal to get back to Earth), Absorption (Copied Blast's hyperspace gates, which can eat up attacks. Garou himself seems to be capable of something similar), Explosion Manipulation, Heat Manipulation & Sound Manipulation (Using Nuclear Fission. Nuclear explosions can achieve temperatures up to several tens of millions of degrees and surpass 240 decibels, enough to kill a human in various ways), Fear Manipulation (His aura exudes pressure which brings people to despair), Antimatter Manipulation & Matter Manipulation (Particular; Garou generated particles and anti-particles in pairs thanks to his intense cosmic rays. The anti-particles move backwards in time. Then, the two types of subatomic particles, one moving forward and the other backward, began imitating each other's movement), which allows for Time Travel & Causality Manipulation (The subatomic movements allowed Saitama to travel through time and defeat Garou at an earlier point; thanks to this Reversal of Causality Punch, he took "zero punches" to win the fight. The Garou who helped Saitama do this was seen with Tareo, implying he also traveled through time and is capable of something like what Saitama did at least if given the opportunity to evolve his technique), Danmaku (Combined his martial arts with his portals to unleash an ever-changing barrage of attacks from all directions, completely unavoidable, making timing irrelevant), Resistance to: Heat Manipulation & Sound Manipulation (Fought Saitama in space, where temperatures are -270.45 degrees Celsius, just above absolute zero. Garou is often in the vicinity of his own nuclear fissions), Spatial Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation & Absorption (Garou was the center of a black hole before causing a Gamma Ray Burst), Poison Manipulation (Fought Saitama for sometime on Io, which has an atmosphere full of sulfur dioxide, which is toxic and deadly), Illusion Creation & Mind Control (Saw through God's illusion and retained his free will after touching his hand, which was proven by Garou's rebellion against him when he taught Saitama the Fist of God)
Attack Potency: Multi-Continent level (Easily beat up a pumped up Metal Bat and drew blood from him with regular punches. Suiryu was eager to fight Garou after watching him win the previous Super Fight and even considers him one of "the strong guys"), Multi-Continent level+ with Awakening Breath (Garou was seen using the technique in the middle of his fight with Death Gatling's group, allowing him to slowly gain the upper hand over them. Matched an attack from Post-Gouketsu Genos and countered another, then ripped his arm off. Briefly clashed with Bang, who was attacking him with ferocity that was out-of-character for him. Bang was not going easy against Garou, so he should be more serious than he was against Melzargard coupled with the fact that he likely wasn't as rusty at this point), higher with Rage Bursts (After being brutalized by Bang and Bomb and recalling memories of his past, Garou managed to unleash a sudden burst of strength that shocked Genos, Bang, and Bomb) | At least Multi-Continent level+ (Broke Royal Ripper's blade and punched his head off, then slashed him to pieces with the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist), up to Planet level (Grew strong enough to power out of the psychic restraints of Gyoro Gyoro. Beat the hell out of Puri-Puri Prisoner in his sleep. After waking up, his muscle coordination improved dramatically allowing him to counter a held back Superalloy Darkshine, who was dominating him before) and far higher through Adaptation (Grew massively stronger, to the point where he started overwhelming Darkshine then matched his full-power Superalloy Bazooka. Garou started breaking his limiter, becoming powerful enough to hurt Darkshine and make him cough out blood), higher with Awakening Breath & Fighting Spirit (Exhibited what is implied to be the same sort of fighting spirit as Metal Bat's, which was what allowed him to quickly adapt to Gyoro Gyoro's psychic powers. Made use of Awakening Breath once more while fighting Orochi) | Planet level (Fought Bomb, canceled out his Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist, and defeated him; Bomb rivals Bang in strength), higher with Awakening Breath (Garou's power increased when he fought Bang because he also started using Awakening Breath, thus drawing from the limits of his body and fighting him on equal footing), higher with Exploding Heart Release Fist (This technique causes Garou's heart to pulse explosively in time with the impact of his punches. In those moments, he surpasses the limits of his body, allowing him to further hurt Bang) | At least Planet level, likely Large Star level (Garou was able to train and follow the voice in his heart, ridding himself of the hesitation in his fists. One-shot Vomited Fuhrer Ugly. Clashed many times with Flashy Flash and likewise Platinum Sperm, who should be trillions of times stronger than an individual Black Sperm, hitting the two hard enough to make them bleed. By the end of their fight, he was strong enough to punch through Platinum Sperm's defensive techniques and kill him. The strength of his attacks surprised Sage Centipede), higher with Resonance (While working together and achieving resonance, Metal Bat and Garou boosted each other, allowing the two to counter the 6666 Leg Grand Drill and damage Sage Centipede heavily, shattering his exoskeleton. Resonance increased Garou's power enough for him to plough through Sage Centipede's body and grab his heart. He then split his whole body clean in half, perfecting his fist and reaching the epitome of martial arts. When facing Saitama, Garou believed he could kill him even after hearing him casually say that he felt like obliterating the entire planet) | At least Planet level, likely Large Star level (Became way stronger than before by becoming a monster and kept evolving while fighting Saitama). Large Planet level, likely Large Star level with Extreme Fa Jin (The technique slammed Saitama into the ground with such force, it sent shockwaves through the entire planet that lifted landmasses on the other side, distorting the Earth's magnetic and gravitational fields) | At least Low Multiverse level (Garou became an avatar of God and the one thing that can counter the Fist that has turned against God, and that is the Fist of God; God is an entity native to a higher dimension. Gained knowledge on the flow of all energy and the behavior of all forces in the universe, as well as the ability to recreate them within his body and put them into his fists. He became one with the flow and succeeded in controlling it. Garou said that him and Saitama stand on the same endless horizon of power, which is supported by Saitama's character info on Young Jump listing his strength as infinite. Blast said that any attack Garou launches on Earth could endanger all living things, thus offering to transport him to another dimension altogether, and that a fight between them would be one between beings who manipulate the reality of the cosmos and space-time), higher with Modes (Copied Blast's power and gave him a hard fight, dismissing him as not worth his attention by the end of their battle. Grew around 18 times stronger while fighting and copying Saitama. Overloaded Blast's portals by matching Saitama's Serious Punch with his own; said portals are hyperspace gates, and hyperspaces are typically spaces with more than 3 dimensions which, in One-Punch Man, are higher dimensions where universes are folded like bubbles)
Speed: FTL (Kept up with Genos, dodged his attacks, and countered him at point-blank range) | FTL (Took out Royal Ripper before he could do much of anything, although he still reacted to Garou), up to Massively FTL (Dodged attacks from Gyoro Gyoro), Massively FTL+ through Adaptation (With no sign of stopping, he was rapidly getting faster while fighting Darkshine, who compared Garou to dozens of martial artists focusing their attacks on him) | At least Massively FTL (Should be much faster than he was while asleep against Prisoner and Darkshine, as his body evolved tremendously since then), Massively FTL+ with Awakening Breath (As the technique draws on the limits of his body, he should be at his fastest in this state) | Massively FTL+ (Fought against Platinum Sperm and Flashy Flash, getting faster throughout the battle and eventually surpassing Flashy Flash's speed. He then kept getting faster while fighting Platinum Sperm one-on-one, accelerating forever along with his synapses, implying he was surpassing his initial speed. The two traced out a dense structure while goin' out on a walk) | Massively FTL+ (Presumably kept getting faster while fighting Saitama) | Immeasurable (Kept up with Blast, who can fight Empty Void), higher with Modes, potentially Immeasurable attack speed with Reversal of Causality (Garou was seemingly able to travel through time like Saitama did, though he should be able to advance his technique enough to replicate something like the Reversal of Causality Punch anyway; thanks to this attack, Saitama took "zero punches" to defeat Awakened Garou at an earlier point in time, punching him through his time travel and completely blitzing him)
Lifting Strength: Class G (Ripped off Genos' arm) | At least Class T (Matched Darkshine who is stronger than Tanktop Master) | At least Class T | Class P, likely Class Y (Knocked Sage Centipede away alongside Metal Bat and later out-muscled him) | At least Class P, likely Class Y. Class E, likely Class Y with Extreme Fa Jin | Immeasurable (Regularly manipulates hyperspace gates and has copied the strength of Saitama, who can easily move them around. Became the avatar and Fist of God, who resides in a higher dimension)
Striking Strength: Multi-Continent Class, Multi-Continent Class+ with Awakening Breath, higher with Rage Bursts | At least Multi-Continent Class+, up to Planet Class and far higher through Adaptation, higher with Awakening Breath & Fighting Spirit | Planet Class, higher with Awakening Breath, higher with Exploding Heart Release Fist | At least Planet Class, likely Large Star Class | At least Planet Class, likely Large Star Class. Large Planet Class, likely Large Star Class with Extreme Fa Jin | At least Low Multiversal, higher with Modes
Durability: Multi-Continent level, Multi-Continent level+ with Awakening Breath (Can take a beatdown from Bang and Bomb and attacks from Genos, compared to how badly Tanktop Master was beating him down before), higher with Rage Bursts | At least Multi-Continent level+, up to Planet level (Became this durable while taking a blast from Overgrown Rover that by all means was strong enough to kill him. Withstood attacks from Gyoro Gyoro) and far higher through Adaptation (By the end of their fight, he tanked a desperate Superalloy Double Bazooka from Darkshine, whereas an earlier tackle from him shattered Garou's ribs), higher with Awakening Breath & Fighting Spirit | Planet level, higher with Awakening Breath | At least Planet level, likely Large Star level (Blocked attacks from Platinum Sperm. Later tanked the Centipede Grand March from Sage Centipede) | At least Planet level, likely Large Star level. Large Planet level, likely Large Star level through Adaptation | At least Low Multiverse level, higher with Modes
Stamina: Superhuman (Garou once won the Super Fight, which can be a one-day martial arts tournament involving several fighters. The likelihood of it lasting one day in this case is high, since Garou was assuming Wolfman's identity, and the latter was discovered once the tournament ended. Garou, suffering a fever that should have rendered him unable to move properly from the next 2-3 days, fought Death Gatling's squad while being pressed by them and continued doing so effectively after being inflicted with poison that should have paralyzed him, gave him difficulty breathing, made him dizzy, and can drain away stamina even from monsters. Even after being shot in the leg and inflicted with Shooter's poison that should be weakening him by the minute, Garou was moving at speeds that kept the heroes struggling. Glasses said that fighting him doesn't feel like fighting a human. Garou went on to outlast and defeat the heroes, then fought a tough opponent in Genos for some time, then fought Bang while having the hell beaten out of him, kept going after Bang and Bomb started fighting him together, and after being on the verge of death from fighting them, he had a sudden burst of power that shocked his opponents. Garou fought a number of Monster Association members, was brought to the brink of death against Overgrown Rover, faced Gyoro Gyoro, and then took Orochi on. He was incapacitated, but upon being freed by Puri-Puri Prisoner, he fought him and Superalloy Darkshine in his sleep, then woke up and defeated Darkshine after a tough fight where he sustained fatal injuries, which didn't hinder him at all. He then went back to sleep, battled Bomb and Bang back-to-back, woke back up and fought Flashy Flash and Platinum Sperm in a three-way battle, Sage Centipede, Blast, and Saitama. All these fights happened within a couple of days--a number of them taking place on the same day--running on what would normally be less than sufficient sustenance and rest)
Range: Standard melee range. Several meters with projectiles. | Standard melee range. Several meters with shockwaves and techniques. | Standard melee range. Several meters with Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. Hundreds of meters with shockwaves. | Standard melee range. Several meters with Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. Thousands of kilometers with shockwaves. | Extended melee range. Several meters with Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. Thousands of kilometers with shockwaves and techniques. Planetary with Extreme Fa Jin. | Standard melee range. Several meters with Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. Thousands of kilometers to Interstellar with shockwaves and techniques, likely Universal. Up to Multi-Universal with hyperspace gates.
Standard Equipment: None
Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius (Garou possesses a natural sense of martial arts and a super-learning ability[2], rapidly improving as he fights powerful enemies. He has his own fighting style which evolves freely as he fights, based on the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist; Garou was Bang's top pupil, so far ahead of his fellow students--of whom there was over a hundred--that they quit the dojo after he decided to fight them all at once and beat them. Garou can learn to counteract the techniques of his opponents and turn those techniques into his own, referring to himself as a genius for doing this with Tanktop Master. Garou once won the Super Fight, a tournament considered to be the pinnacle of martial arts while disguised as someone else, and made Suiryu interested in fighting by doing so. Chopped a beer glass clean in half. Tanktop Master referred to Garou's martial arts as advanced, his technique as vicious, and him as an evil demon that Bang has trained. Garou managed to turn the tables on Death Gatling's team by turning their own abilities against each other, using Smile Man's kendama to take out other heroes, using Wild Horn's armor to block Shooter's arrows, Glasses' rocks to take out Shooter, Chain'n'toad's chains to tie up Wild Horn, Wild Horn's body to protect himself from Stinger, and so on. He knew to keep Glasses within Death Gatling's firing range to keep him from being able to shoot. Garou was able to mimic Bomb's Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist after having fought him once, and somehow Metal Bat's fighting spirit as well. While fighting Orochi, he once again calls himself a genius, which Gyoro Gyoro implies is true as they call Garou's adaptability extraordinary. In his fight with Superalloy Darkshine, Garou was using the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist in his left hand and the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist in his right, like Bang and Bomb joining forces, allowing him to perform a secret joint technique that not even a world-class genius could perform on his own, the Cross Fang Dragon Slayer Fist. Garou obtained it subconsciously. By forcing himself through the suicidal training, challenges, and hunts he did, he is able to copy-acquire physical techniques that go beyond Water Stream and Whirlwind. Bomb said that Garou had combined every technique and refined them into his own style and wondered if this was thanks to monsterization. Garou mastered Awakening Breath from just a glance at Bang using it. Snuck a look the scrolls containing Bang's secret technique, the Exploding Heart Release Fist, and grasped it with just one reading. Has the talent to comprehend the voice in Bang's fist. At the end of his fight with Sage Centipede, Garou would reach the epitome of martial arts, perfecting his fist. As a monster, Garou has the skill to predict his opponent's next move, the move after that, and the move beyond that. After becoming the Fist of God, he then gained knowledge on the flow of all energy and the behavior of all forces in the universe, allowing him to replicate cosmic events. His power mimicry has risen to a new level, a secret martial arts technique known as “shakkei,” as he can instantly copy Saitama and Blast's techniques, even hax abilities like Blast's portals. Garou was eventually able to develop his technique to where he can manipulate matter and antimatter particles, potentially achieving time travel)
Weaknesses: At the start of his Hero Hunt, Garou was unwilling to use the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist as it reminded him of Bang. Even then, his body uses it instinctively in times of crisis, and this isn't an issue anymore past the fight with Tanktop Master. As a Half-Monster, when pushing himself to a certain degree, Garou can lose consciousness and be forced to fight while "asleep." The first time this happened, it resulted in Garou having poor muscle coordination, making him weaker, slower, and somewhat animalistic. After his fight with Darkshine, this once again stops being an issue, as he can use techniques that push his body to and past his limits--Awakening Breath and Exploding Heart Release Fist--and has full access to his martial arts.
Note: In case it wasn't clear, "Shell" refers to the armor-looking form Garou takes after his fight with Darkshine.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
Human Garou
“ | Time to conduct evil. | „ |
- Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist: Known as the ultimate defensive technique, it is the martial art that Bang developed by himself through years of training. It was the first and biggest step he took in reforming himself. The Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist basically deflects incoming attacks. They're like leaves flowing a river, while the technique is the current. The attack is redirected, missing its target entirely, thus nullifying it. Bang developed it by taking knowledge of the flow of energy behind raging currents and tidal surges, recreating it within his body, then putting it into his fists.
- Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist: A martial art Garou copied from his master's brother, Bomb. It utilizes a special hand movement to generate a powerful offensive whirlwind that, as shown when used for the first time against Royal Ripper, slices opponents to pieces, which are then sent flying by the force of the attack. Garou first demonstrated his knowledge of this technique as a Half-Monster.
- Awakening Breath: Used by the inventor of the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist and Garou's master, Bang. One slow, deep breath signifies the use of the technique. It pushes one's body to its very limits, thereby unleashing their "full power," making them considerably stronger. There were two subtle instances of Garou using Awakening Breath, those being his battles against Death Gatling's group and Orochi respectively. Against his master, it would actually be revealed he has mastered the technique.
Half-Monster Garou
“ | Time to start hunting. | „ |
- Whirlwind Water Stream: Secret joint techniques that combine the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist and the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. Normally, it's impossible for someone to perform these on their own, but thanks to Garou's prodigal skill and learning ability, he learned not only both Water Stream and Whirlwind individually, but also how to combine them.
- Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist: Garou brings his arms forward and draws a circle with his palms as he prepares the attack. Whirlwind and Water Stream strike the target at once, sending devastating shockwaves permeating through its body. Then, a flurry of strikes follows from Garou, further spreading the shockwaves. This technique would have shattered every bone in Bang's body if it landed properly, but even just barely grazing Bang was enough to defeat him.
- Cross Fang Dragon Slayer Fist: Whirlwind and Water Stream are used in unison, striking the opponent simultaneously with their respective techniques and crushing them with overwhelming power. Even when Garou first used it, he was able to press Superalloy Darkshine with it. He used it later on against Sage Centipede, damaging his exoskeleton with it.
Shell Garou
“ | I'll take on anyone who wants a fight. Absolute Evil is unbiased, you know. Heroes, monsters, I will slaughter every last one of them and rise to become the ultimate symbol of fear... Disaster level "God". Come get some. | „ |
- Exploding Heart Release Fist: Bang's original martial art that has been sealed away since his fateful defeat at the hands of Bomb. Garou learned it by briefly reading what he could the scrolls Bang had hidden away before he was caught. Unlike Water Stream, this technique is shrouded in malice and killing intent. The user's heart pulses explosively in time with the impact of the user's strikes. In those moments, they unleash power beyond the limitations of their body.
- Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist: Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist. Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. Exploding Heart Release Fist. Tiger Fang True Fist. Purgatory Abyss Fist. Lake-Breaking Ice River Fist. Fool's Path Mountain Range Fist. Ultimate Fist of Yatagarasu. Pressure Point Killer Fist. Poisonous Ogre Fist. Lone Fist of Prosperity. This attack is none of those, but the culmination of Garou absorbing them all into his own technique. Since he was naming it after disaster level: God, he initially named it the "Monster Calamity God Fist," but opted to change it when he deemed God "unreliable." Garou unleashes all the martial arts he had learned and absorbed in the form of a mighty technique, powerful enough to knock away and hurt Platinum Sperm and Flashy Flash at the same time.
Monster Garou
“ | Tsk... What the hell. Don't make that face. Not when I finally... finally... can show you the moment where the monster wins. | „ |
- Platinum Rings: Platinum Sperm's "unscrupulous rotating defense," copied by Garou. It is a defensive technique that sees him rotate his hands to form rings which deflect incoming attacks. He used this against Saitama.
- God Slayer Instant Attack: In the fight with Saitama, Garou smashed him into the ground and wailed on him with a variety of tremendously fast strikes, his arms moving so fast they appear to be a blur.
- God Slayer Ascending Attack: Garou hits a heavy punch-kick combo that sends his opponent flying, setting them up for the Great Fa Jin.
- Great Fa Jin: A technique used by Garou against Saitama, as a monster. Garou laces his hands with energy, then delivers a double palm-strike to his opponent's abdomen. A surge of energy is unleashed that doesn't harm the opponent conventionally, but rather attacks their organs, which according to Garou cannot be strengthened through training.
- Extreme Fa Jin: An upgrade of the Great Fa Jin, which Garou desperately pulled out near the end of his fruitless fight against Saitama as a monster. The method of execution is similar to its predecessor, except the attack is so much more destructive that it sent tremendous shockwaves straight through the planet, shifting landmasses on the opposite side of its surface. Earth's magnetic and gravitational fields were distorted by the devastating attack.
Awakened Garou
“ | "Divine power" ain't bad at all. Just me being around means death. I'm finally getting to be the Symbol of Fear. | „ |
- All Life Eradication Fist: Garou's "fist" after being imparted with power by God. Fundamentally it resembles the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist; Water Stream takes knowledge of the flow of energy behind raging currents and tidal surges and recreates those within one's body, with the martial artist these putting these in their fists. By coming into contact with God, Garou was bestowed knowledge on the flow of all energy and the behavior of all forces in the universe, allowing him to recreate various cosmic phenomena.
- Nuclear Fission: The first demonstration of Garou's new fighting style. He throws an energy-imbued punch that causes a massive, devastating explosion once landed, leaving behind giant mushroom clouds. The Gotz Okkie, an aircraft carrier, responded to the attack by activating the decontamination system for all sections of the vessel, indicating a nuclear attack.
- Gamma Ray Burst: An explosion that occurs at the end of the life of a massive star. The largest, most power explosive phenomenon that has ever been confirmed in the universe, which Garou can replicate with his cosmic knowledge. He first balls himself up, acting as the core of a black hole, then spreads out his body to unleash two parallel energy beams.
- Modes: There exist secret techniques in the world of martial arts. They borrow the power of nature by imitating the movements of living things. In reality, these are known as "Shakkei," but Garou opted to call them Modes instead, 'cause they sound cooler. Even in the heat of battle, Garou can instantly imitate his opponent's techniques, even Blast's space-time manipulating powers. Mode: Saitama is another example of Shakkei, where he copied Saitama's punches that were unparalleled up until this point.
- Gravity Knuckle: Copied from Blast, the highest ranked hero. Garou laces his fist with a unique type of energy and delivers a devastating punch.
- Nuclear Fission Gravity Knuckle: Garou uses his All Life Eradication Fist's Nuclear Fission in tandem with Blast's Gravity Knuckle, delivering an overwhelming combination of attacks.
- Consecutive Normal Punches: Garou used Saitama's own moves against him, rapidly hitting him with punches that were very consecutive and rather normal. That's all.
- Serious Punch: One of Saitama's Killer Moves that very few of his opponents have gotten to witness. Garou is one such opponent, made even more exceptional by the fact that he matched it with his very own. As soon as Saitama wound up for his seemingly unstoppable punch, Garou quickly updated his "Mode: Saitama" and countered with the selfsame punch, resulting in a clash of Serious Punches: Serious Punch².
- Gravity Knuckle: Copied from Blast, the highest ranked hero. Garou laces his fist with a unique type of energy and delivers a devastating punch.
