Goro Majima is one of the protagonists of the Yakuza series.

He is a member of the Shimano Family, a subsidiary family in the Tojo Clan, who worked his way up until he was known as the Mad Dog of Shimano and formed his own subsidiary family, the Majima Family that would go on to be one of the biggest families in the Tojo Clan's history.

  • Healing Items: Majima carries around a variety of healing items, typically food, energy drinks or first-aid kits. Aside from healing Majima, some of these items can also be used to recover Majima's Heat. The amount of health and Heat recovered depends on the item with some of them being able to fully heal Majima's health and Heat back to full.

  • Hellfire Dagger: The Hellfire Dagger is Majima's signature knife. He wields it in one hand and uses it primarily as a slashing weapon but has been shown to use it as a throwing knife. Unlike all of Majima's other weapons, it has infinite durability and is practically impossible to remove from Majima's hands.
  • Pummeling Bat: The Pummeling Bat Majima's signature metal baseball bat. Unlike all of Majima's other weapons, it has infinite durability and is practically impossible to remove from Majima's hands.
  • Golden Pistol: The Golden Pistol is a unique handgun that has infinite ammo.
  • Grenades: Majima carries a variety of grenades including explosive, stun and incendiary. Majima is able to shoot them after they are thrown in order to trigger them manually.
  • Automatic Shotgun: Majima's signature automatic shotgun. Despite shotguns typically having a widespread and low accuracy, Majima is able to hit precise targets with individual shots.
  • Satellite Laser: After beating Jo Amon, Majima received an electronic device that controls a satellite with a mounted laser cannon. This Satellite Laser is able to bombard an opponent with powerful laser beams.

  • Sacrifice Stone/Stone of Enduring: The Sacrifice Stone/Stone of Enduring are a pair of stones that Majima will negate one attack that would kill Majima but break after one use. Majima can carry multiple of them on him at the same time. The difference between the two is that the Sacrifice Stone fully heals Majima after it breaks.
  • War God Talisman: The War God Talisman is a talisman that either gradually increases Majima's Heat, either over time or instantly, automatically.
  • Silent Shoes: The Silent Shoes are a pair of shoes that produce no sound from footsteps, making them useful for sneaking around.

  • Thug Style: The Thug Style is an unarmed fighting style where Majima fights using rough martial arts similar to typical street fighting. The Thug Style also has Majima using underhanded tactics in a fight such as poking an opponent's eyes, kicking an opponent's shins to trip them up, quickly striking the back of an opponent's neck and snapping an opponent's neck after getting behind them.
  • Breaker Style: The Breaker Style is an unarmed fighting style where Majima fights using breakdancing moves.
  • Slugger Style: The Slugger Style is a fighting style where Majima wields a metal baseball bat. Majima is able to wield his baseball bat either as a typical baseball bat, as a pair of Nunchaku or even as a stick that Majima can balance on so he can easily flip around. After some training, Majima is able to use his Slugger Style to wield Nunchaku, Kali Sticks, Poles, Tonfa and Kantanas better than he can in his other styles.

  • Eye Poke: The Eye Poke is a technique where Majima, in the middle of a punch combo, quickly pokes the opponent's eyes with his hands, causing them to recoil and leaving them temporarily disoriented, leaving them open to a neck snap.
  • Insight: Insight is the ability that allows Majima to detect if someone is holding a hidden weapon. From Majima's perspective, he will see an opponent glowing yellow if they have a bladed weapon or red if they have a firearm.
  • Frantic Throw: Frantic Throw is a technique where Majima, after getting grabbed by an enemy, can quickly get out of the throw before delivering a high kick to the opponent's head.
  • Harsh Lesson: Harsh Lesson is a technique where Majima counters an opponent's attack by grabbing their arm and pulling them past him before delivering a quick chop to the back of the opponent's neck.

  • Secret of the Strut (Elbow): Secret of the Strut (Elbow) is a technique where Majima counters an oncoming attack by quickly delivering an elbow to the opponent's face.
  • Charged Windmill: Charged Windmill is a technique where Majima charges up an attack before sliding towards the opponent and delivering two spinning windmill kicks to their legs and torso. The longer Majima charges up, the stronger the attack is.
  • Phantom Turn: Phantom Turn is a technique where Majima, while guarding, quickly spins on his feet, causing enemy attacks to miss him.
  • Rising Rotor: Rising Rotor is a technique where Majima, after being knocked down, quickly stands up on his head while spinning, delivering two spinning kicks to whoever gets close to him.
  • Break Roll: Break Roll is a technique where Majima, after getting his guard broken, quickly performs a breakdance spin, kicking all around him.
  • Tornado Throw: Tornado Throw is a technique where Majima quickly picks up a small weapon, spins around to hit anyone around him with the small weapon before throwing it at the nearest opponent.
  • Freeze Counter: Freeze Counter is a technique where Majima, while stopped in a pose, quickly counters anyone who tries to attack him.
  • Disruption Immunity: Disruption Immunity is an ability that makes Majima completely immune to the stunning effect of certain weapons, such as batons and tasers.
  • Breaker (Renewal): Breaker (Renewal) is an ability that allows Majima to recover a small amount of his health back after dodging an opponent's attack when Majima has low health.
  • Dash Pirouette: Dash Pirouette is a technique where Majima runs up to an opponent before spins around, hitting an opponent with his fists before stopping and elbowing an opponent's stomach.
  • Rolling Snake: Rolling Snake is a technique where Majima rolls towards an opponent before wrapping his leg around them to trip them to the floor before Majima gets up and stomps on the opponent's back.

  • Chomp: Chomp is a technique where Majima, after slashing an opponent with his knife, crouches down and runs around at high speeds, allowing him to quickly slash anyone he gets close to without losing any speed.
  • Frenzy: Frenzy is a technique where Majima spins around, using his knife to slash all around him, slashing anyone that gets too close.
  • Shadow Trail: Shadow Trail is a technique where Majima performs a much faster quick step, being able to move a few metres in an instant, allowing Majima to disappear from an opponent's line of sight.
  • Demonfire: Demonfire is a technique where Majima counters an opponent's attack by grabbing them and quickly stabbing them in the stomach with his knife.

  • Heat: Majima, much like most characters in the Yakuza series, can use a mysterious energy called Heat. With Heat, Majima gets stronger, faster and more durable, he also becomes more resistant to knives and guns. Majima can also spend a good amount of his Heat to do Heat moves. Majima can charge up Heat by damaging the enemy and avoiding attacks, he loses Heat when he takes damage or uses a Heat move.
  • Heat Sniping: Majima uses his Heat to increase accuracy on par with a sniper, no matter what type of gun he is using.
  • Azure Dragon Spirit: If Majima has Heat, he takes less damage from any attacks dealt to him.
  • Doppelganger: Using Heat, Majima is able to create multiple clones of himself. These clones can fight as well as Majima can but they are notably less durable than Majima himself is.
  • Dragon Twister: Using Heat, Majima is able to spin around so fast that he creates a tornado that hurts any opponent that touches it.
  • Demonfire Rain: Using Heat, Majima summons electricity and throws a large number of his Demonfire Daggers at the opponent, electrifying the area before making a bolt of lightning strike them. Majima then slashes the opponent with an electrified Demonfire Dagger that he is holding.
