Summary[]

Ichigo Kurosaki (黒崎一護, Kurosaki Ichigo) is the protagonist of BLEACH, and someone who is born with spiritual awareness. He's been able to see ghosts as far as he can remember, but everything changed one day when his family was attack by an evil spirit known as a Hollow, and a Shinigami ((死神, death god(s)) gave Ichigo her powers. He became a substitute Shinigami, and he's held that position for up until now.

Trouble starts when he meets Uryu Ishida, and he learns about the ancient feud between Quincy and Shinigami. Their scuffle summons a giant Hollow, which alerts the Soul Society of their presence. Two hunters arrive in the World of the Living with the purpose of apprehending Rukia for the crime of giving a human Shinigami powers. Eventhough Ichigo uses his true power, he is swiftly defeated by the captain of the Gotei 13: Byakuya Kuchiki. What ensues is the entire plot of the Soul Society Arc, where Ichigo must rescue Rukia before her execution. He climbs the ladder, going from fighting Lieutenant-class characters to Captain-class characters, slowing growing over time. The plot culminates with Ichigo achieving Bankai, which very few exceptional Soul Reapers can do, and he defeats Byakuya in a pitched battle. Unfortunately, at the end we find out about the person who plotted all of this, and it's Sosuke Aizen. He seemed to plan to use the Hogyoku to create an army of arrancars and overthrow the Soul Society, placing himself as the king.

A new group of Arrancars, Hollows which have removed their masks to gain the powers of a Shinigami, called the espada is formed and chaos ensues. Many skirmishes occur between the Soul Reapers and Arrancars, meanwhile Orihime is abducted and taken to Hueco Mundo where Aizen rules. It is up to Ichigo and his friends to save Orihime now, just like they saved Rukia before. Ichigo fights new foes such as Ulquiorra Cifer and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez before making his way to fight Sosuke Aizen in Karakura town. After three months of training, Ichigo fights his climactic battle where must relinquish his spiritual power in order to defeat Aizen, who has gained power on par with a god, marking the end of the Pre-Timeskip era of BLEACH.

Can consistently react to Uryu's superhuman arrows[Cite 7][Cite 4], even performing a feat which was calculated to be this fast. After this, he grows from fighting evenly[Cite 6][Cite 7] with Renji to overwhelming him[Cite 8][Cite 9] too, despite Renji being 5x stronger than when they last[Cite 6][Cite 10] fought due to removing his Gentei Rein restriction[Cite 11] which limits you to 20% power, and Kenpachi explains after this fight that Assistant-Captains would not be a match for Ichigo[Cite 12]. Attack Potency: Country level (Can block the full power of the Sokyoku[Cite 1][Cite 2] and even destroy the Takka scaffolding[Cite 2]. which can sustain its attacks[Cite 3]. It is specifically noted by Soi Fon[Cite 2], who has credibility as the leader of the squad which handles executions[Cite 4][Cite 5], and guidebooks [Cite 6][Cite 7] to be the full power of the Sokyoku and not a nerfed and nebulous percentage of its power. This is especially consistent, because the Takka is noted to be capable of blocking the Sokyoku's strikes[Cite 8], meaning that Ichigo breaking it is another feat scaling him to the Sokyoku's level. To speak on the flaming spear itself, it has the power of one million Zanpakuto, and is regarded as being capable of destroying the entire Seireitei, and eventually even the Soul Society itself[Cite 8]. To destroy the Seireitei, which is consistently portrayed as a country-sized structure in the lore, it would have to at least yield this much energy. Furthermore, we know it can destroy the Seireitei in at least a single strike, because its eventual destruction of the entire Soul Society is treated as an immediate threat, implying it wouldn't take very long to do it, making Ichigo scale to this value. To speak on his inverse scaling, he can clash with[Cite 9][Cite 10][Cite 11] Byakuya Kuchiki, and trade blows several times. Prior to his bankai training and being fully healed, he could block Byakuya's signature move "Senka[Cite 12]." Furthermore, he is regarded by Ukitake as being at the level of the actual captains[Cite 13]. He can easily dispatch three Assistant-Captains[Cite 9], breaking one's Zanpakuto with his bare hands, and even being stated to surpass their combined might entirely[Cite 6]. His relativity to captains and statements of being captain level are made extra consistent, as databooks confirm them to be true[Cite 14]. Furthermore, to support and solidify the gap between Captain-class and Assistant-Captain-Class {like his previous key}, the gap in power between Renji pre-training and Byakuya (who we've seen through prior evidence is even with Ichigo) is hyped up as an infinite difference[Cite 15]. This further supports the disparity between the High 7-A scaling for the strongest Assistant-Captains and the 6-B scaling for Captains.[Statistics Values 1]), higher with Getsuga Tensho (This attack releases a high-concentration spiritual pressure from the tip of his blade[Cite 16], magnifying and discharging it from his blade. Can break through Byakuya's Senbonzakura defenses and damaging his arm.), Country level+ with Bankai (Can clash with Byakuya's Senkei form[Cite 17][Cite 18], which tremendously increases his petal's lethality[Cite 18]. It is explicitly stated to be a two times increase[Cite 19] in his ability to deal damage, or basically his cutting power, making it a two times AP multiplier. Eventhough Tensa Zangetsu does not specifically multiply power, it lets him fight at full force at maximum speed[Cite 18]. Furthermore, it is also noted as giving Ichigo tremendous power[Cite 20], and Ichigo's spiritual pressure swells in this state[Cite 21], so it is inherently necessary that Ichigo gets a power increase.[Statistics Values 2]), higher with Black Getsuga (This attack magnifies Ichigo's attack potency. When channeling all his remaining energy into a Black Getsuga, he is able to overpower Byakuya's strongest technique, Shukei Hakuteiken[Cite 22][Cite 23].), far higher when posessed by Zangetsu (Can take down Byakuya[Cite 22], easily surpassing his spiritual power[Cite 24], and hollowification increases the strength of a soul.).

Speed: at least Relativistic+ (He is far faster than his previous key, as his power has greatly increased. Can keep up with Kenpachi[Cite 25][Cite 26], who is one of the top 13 soul reapers at the time[Cite 27] and superior to Mayuri[Cite 28], as the reckless rule-breaking scientist concedes to Kenpachi and is directly stated to have low combat ability for a captain[Cite 29]. This would scale Ichigo above Mayuri, who can keep up with Uryu[Cite 30] who performed this feat. This is the main speed feat Ichigo scales to, and it coincidentally scales him above the Assistant-Captains to a significant extent. Keeps up with Byakuya in their fight[Cite 12], eventhough Byakuya is stated held to a higher regard than Mayuri. He is stated to have a high degree of combat ability, and to have no flaws in his combat capabilities[Cite 31][Statistics Values 3]), FTL with Bankai (His bankai exclusively aims to increase his speed[Cite 20], which means it elevates his heightened speed combat ability by at least 5x, as this is what bankai typically do[Cite 32]. This is the main piece of scaling for his bankai's speed, which should be supported by the next feats. Can blitz Byakuya[Cite 21], who is previously fighting at his Shikai level, and he swats away every single Senbonzakura Kageyoshi petal even after their speed is doubled[Cite 33] supporting his Bankai multiplier being at least 5 times. This feat was conservatively calced to be this fast, which although isn't as fast as the feat in actuality, it still supports the general range of speed.[Statistics Values 4]), higher when posessed by Zangetsu (His combat capabilities are far superior than Ichigo normally[Cite 34]. Can also outspeed[Cite 22] Byakuya.[Statistics Values 5]).

It is noted in databooks too, that this is a fight on equal terms[Cite 3], making it very consistent that this version of Bankai Ichigo scales to base Grimmjow's full power. Superior to Barragan's respira, Starrk's wolves, and Yammy's maximal resureccion, as Cien explains copying Ichigo's power would be a better pick than those 3, and would be more annoying to kill[Cite 3]. This is consistent with how the version of Kenpachi he was superior to could already obliterate Yammy, take no damage from Starrk's colmillo, and negate Barragan's curse through spiritual pressure alone[Cite 3]. This is where his main scaling comes from, being superior to Barragan's respira. The point is, there is an absurd scaling chain between Barragan's respira and the Sokyoku feats, which will be explained later on in a different profile. Sonído (響転, Reverberating turn; ソニード, sonido): the arrancar equivalent to Shunpo, which is roughly as fast, and lets you move faster than the eye can see. It lets you slip past people's spiritual senses.

Hierro (鋼皮, Iron skin; イエロ, Iero): the outer layer of skin of an arrancar, which lets them resist bladed weaponry.

Cero (虚閃, Hollow Flash; セロ, cero): an intense beam of spiritual light, which is composed of the user's spiritual pressure.

High-speed regeneration (超速再生, super-speed regeneration): the arrancar technique that lets them regenerate everything except their vital organs.

Shikai (始解, Initial Release) Ichigo possesses Zangetsu (斬月, Killing Moon), his Zanpakutō, and now uses it in combat. He can release many attacks with it, and is signficantly more powerful than a regular asauchi.

Getsuga Tensho (月牙天衝, Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer): A projected high-density spiritual pressure (霊圧, reiatsu), made with Ichigo's spiritual power (霊力, reiryoku), which can vaporize the ground and has incredible heat.

Bankai (卍解, Final Release): Bankai typically multiplies the zanpakuto's combat abilities 5 to 10 times, and Ichigo's specifically allows him to fight at feverish speeds. It also gives him access to many techniques.

Shunpo (瞬歩, Flash Step): Ichigo mastered the technique from one of the four basic shinigami fighting styles (「斬拳走鬼」, Zankensoki). It allows him to create afterimages which can confuse his opponents.

Expert in sword-fighting: Ichigo has already trained for days fighting Urahara, and then is complimented as having great fighting skill by expert sword fighters who have trained for hundreds of years in peak condition. He can fight evenly with Byakuya, despite him being a captain of the gotei 13, trained by the most experienced masters for hundreds of years since he was a child. He can also fight Gin, who is an unparalleled prodigy amongst the shinigami and a master swordsman too.

Final Getsuga Tensho (最後の月牙天衝, The Final Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer): Ichigo's ultimate technique, where he becomes the getsuga itself and puts his powers on the line to defeat his enemy. He is completely depowered after using it.

Mugetsu (無月, Moonless Sky): Ichigo's attack whilst in his Final Getsuga Tensho form. It combines Ichigo's hollow, shinigami, and Quincy powers and can erase the subject's mind, body, and soul.

Weaknesses: While possessed by Zangetsu, Ichigo tends to play around against weaker opponents. In his first Grimmjow fight and after he ressurected, he canot use Hollowification for that long, and in the latter his mask is a weak point. In complete Holliwification, his horn is also a weak spot. After using the Final Getsuga Tensho, Ichigo will lose his spiritual powers shortly after.

Intelligence: Above average normally, as he has very much above average grades and graduates from college. Genius in battle, as he can learn martial arts and techniques after seeing them once and makes hundreds of years of skill training progress in a few days.

Thanks to Arc7Kuroi, Deceived, Arcker, and Hissy, who all indirectly influenced this profile. Obviously, it's inspired by what Arc pulled off on VSBW, but I've added my own ideas and spin on scaling. Other stuff, though, I came up with like the Seireitei shaking meta, which I started on my own after reading the Japanese version of the first databook one day. It's in the english version too, but I just happened to make that specific catch then and there.

I also use a lot of Gifs from the anime to showcase abilities, but I'm not claiming the anime is actually canon, I'm just showing a cool visual to demonstrate the ability. Also, credits to the Bleach wiki for all the kanji, saved me the time from fetching it myself.
