Summary[]
Intangibility is the power to pass through solid matter. Characters with this ability become immune to most conventional attacks, as they simply pass through their bodies. This can also allow for an easier time passing through areas, as users can pass through wall and other obstacles.
Types[]
- Phasing: The power to pass through matter by becoming briefly intangible, usually achieved by altering one’s density or accelerating one’s molecular structure.
- Elemental: The power to stimulate intangibility by mimicking an element. Using this, conventional attacks would simply disperse them as opposed to dealing genuine damage, allowing users to reconstitute themselves.
- Immaterial: This type of intangibility allows the user to phase through most attacks due to not being made up of a physical substance, such as ghosts or characters who merely exist as a disembodied soul.
- Spatial: The ability to shift into other dimensions so as to avoid and phase through attacks. While this allows them to avoid most forms of attack, they can still be affected by attacks that operate on similar principles and by those with sufficient range to target them in the other dimension.
Limitations[]
- Non-Physical Interaction counters this
- May have to become tangible to actually attack
- Susceptible to certain attacks while using Elemental Intangibility
- May be harmed by other Intangibility users
- Immaterial beings would usually be vulnerable to things like Energy Manipulation and Soul Manipulation
