Summary[]
Invulnerability is the power to be virtually immune to certain types of attacks.
Invulnerable characters are capable of completely avoiding damage from certain attacks, making them much more difficult to harm and defeat. Frequently this invulnerability comes with a set of conditions for use or weaknesses that can be exploited.
Types[]
- Nigh-Invulnerability: The power to be immune to many types of attacks, but users can still be harmed in certain situations.
- Temporary Invincibility: The power to temporarily render oneself invulnerable to certain attacks.
- Reliant Invulnerability: Users are invulnerable as long as a certain object or concept exists.
- Selective Invulnerability: Users are only invulnerable against certain attacks.
- Conditional Invulnerability: The power to render oneself invulnerable under certain conditions.
- Impact Absorption: Absorb impacts. This can usually be bypassed with sufficient force.
- Damage Negation: The power to simply negate damage.
- Intangibility: Simply ignore most forms of attacks by phasing through them.
Possible Limitations[]
- May only protect against external attacks.
- May still feel pain.
- Doesn't mean immortality unless otherwise bestowed.
- Durability Negation may still work.
