Jhun Hoon is Kim Kapwhan's best friend and fellow Taekwondo master who believes in Kim's sense of justice and teams up with Kim for the King of Fighters '99 tournament in order to see if Kim's rehabilitation method was working.
During the King of Fighters 2000 tournament, Kim and Jhun would work together in order to destroy NESTS for good. Before the King of Fighters 2001 tournament could happen, Jhun accidentally broke his arm, forcing him to be unable to participate in the tournament.
