Summary[]
Kaiju No. 8, also known in English as Monster #8, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ application and website since July 2020. Its genres are Action-Adventure, Fantasy, and Science Fiction. The Story follows Kafka Hibino, a man who gains the ability to transform into a kaiju after eating a parasitic creature. Kafka must learn to use his new power while trying to join an organization that eliminates kaiju to fulfill a promise to a childhood friend. The series takes place in Japan, where kaiju are monsters that regularly attack the population and are hunted by the Japanese Defense Force.
