Summary[]
Madama Butterfly, the Mistress of Atrocity, is a prominent demon in the Bayonetta series. As Bayonetta's primary demon and the source of most of her power, Madama Butterfly has been the default demon throughout the main installments, and she is also the source of Wicked Weaves when playing as Bayonetta. Once a woman who belonged to the World of Chaos who mysteriously died and was then dragged to Inferno, Madama Butterfly became a ruthless honcho within the infernal home of the demons, having been respected by countless denizens of Inferno.
Madama Butterfly was initially unseen in the first Bayonetta game, only appearing as Wicked Weaves through various weapons (ex., Scarborough Fair, Durga, Kulshedra, etc.), but was finally seen fully in Bayonetta 2 and a new brandished look in Bayonetta 3. She also has a new form as well as her true form, Queen Butterfly, the Lady of Onyx Brilliance.
