Character Stats and Profiles Wiki

In the past, we have encouraged users to create new pages for powers and abilities they thought the wiki lacked. However, as of now, we want new pages to be approved by the staff, meaning that new powers and abilities pages must be suggested. This can be done in our official Discord server in the suggestion channel, or messaged to a staff member. Of course, users can always create blogs about powers and abilities to include in their profiles if they don't want to attempt creating official pages. Linking to other wikis' powers and abilities pages is also permitted.

Pennywise wields The Deadlights which can drive others insane just by glancing at them

Summary[]

Madness Manipulation is the power to induce insanity into their foes. The methods of doing so can vary greatly such as the use of simple words and actions, mind powers, chemicals, imagery or their natural presence.

Types[]

1. Psychological: Users of this type of Madness Manipulation drive others insane through psychological means, relying on their own voice or actions to drive others into insanity. This also goes along with Corruption and Social Influencing.

  • Examples: Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa)
  • Limits: Characters that are skilled in mind-games and trickery are likely able to avoid falling to this type. Same with other characters who also specialize in this ability or characters that can be considered mindless such as zombies.

2. Biological: Users of this type can mess with their foe's sanity through ways of drugs, poisons, diseases, toxins, and other biological means.

3. Mind or Morality powers: Inducing insanity by directly toying with the minds of their foes, such as mental attacks. Or tapping into their morals.

4. Comprehension: Characters with this type can drive others insane due to the nature of their being. Simply looking at these characters may drive the viewer insane. Many extreme cases are capable of killing the viewer.

  • Examples: Pennywise (The Dark Tower), Cthulhu Mythos characters
  • Limits: Those who can understand things that are extreme or incomprehensible could bypass this ability. Beings with similarly complex natures can likely remain unaffected by this type of Madness Manipulation.
