Summary[]
Ragna was born in one of Relius Clover's laboratories, where he was experimented on along with his younger siblings Jin and Saya until Jubei saved the three of them. From there, Ragna and his siblings were raised by The Sister in a church. From there, he had a mostly normal childhood. Unfortunately, Yuuki Terumi invaded the church which he and his siblings lived in. Ragna not only lost The Sister, but Terumi also took Jin and Saya with him. Jin had received a mysterious sword: The Nox Nyctores, Yukianesa, used to cut off Ragna's right arm, leaving him for dead.
It was not until Rachel Alucard found the bleeding Ragna that he received the Azure Grimoire, a powerful artifact which replaced his lost arm. From there, Jubei raised and trained Ragna. When the time eventually came, Ragna was granted his red coat, as well as his sword: Aramasa, the Blood Scythe. These possessions once belonged to Bloodedge, who had held off the Black Beast while the Six Heroes figured out a way to deal with it. As such, from that day forth, Ragna would be known as Ragna the Bloodedge. Now a wanderer, he ought to destroy all of the cauldrons in the world, as well as the man who had taken everything from him before: Yuuki Terumi. Ragna's destruction of the cauldrons got the attention of the Novus Orbis Librarium (NOL), and thus, Jin Kisaragi, having now become a major for the Librarium's military forces. Ragna continued to destroy cauldrons, leading him to destroy any and all Prime Field Devices they spawned, and whatever NOL soldiers were sent his way. This led him to receive his status as a wanted criminal, and the title of the "Grim Reaper."
It was not until Ragna arrived at the 13th Hierarchical City, Kagutsuchi, that Ragna's life once again changed. The wheels of fate began to turn.

Attack Potency: High Multiverse Level+ (5D) (The Azure Grimoire draws power from the Boundary, an "infinite expanse"[2] connecting the BlazBlue multiverse together, which also transcends space and time. He could also contend with Mu-12, Noel's true form, which is stated to be capable of destroying the Master Unit: Amaterasu, which is stated to be an omnipotent existence whose purpose was to observe all of space-time, going as far as to even including the Boundary itself.[5] The Master Unit also scales above Takamagahara, which can regulate information to and from the Boundary and can observe every single possibility in BlazBlue (a thing the Master Unit also does, but presumably better)[2]. As such, Takamagahara would have to operate on a similar level to that of the Boundary itself in order to regulate the information that comes in and out of it. Furthermore, upon defeating Mu-12, Takamagahara had to reconsider Ragna's worth as they were impressed at his victory against Mu-12 and Yuuki Terumi in Hazama's body, implying that they were surprised with Ragna's performance against them and would consider him a threat to their plans going forward.[2] Ragna and Jin fought off Terumi as Susano'o, even after absorbing Noel Vermillion.[4] While there is a chance Susano'o may not have been fighting with his full strength, he is considerably stronger than before, where he previously stomped Ragna and Jin without having absorbed Noel. Ragna didn't even use the Azure Grimoire's full power until after he protected Jin from one of Susano'o's attacks. The Susano'o Unit is also noted by Trinity to be comparable to that of the Master and Tsukuyomi Units, and Susano'o very much considers himself as being among the gods in the verse, casually threatening the destruction of possibilities and all things in the universe.[4]), possibly Outerverse Level (Scales to characters, such as Yuuki Terumi, that can take hits from the sword Hihi'irokane, which is stated to be beyond all definitions of space-time.[5] Ragna has also contended regularly with Nu-13, whose armor is made from Hihi'irokane.[1][3][6]), higher with the Azure Grimoire, Idea Engine, and/or the Black Beast's power.
