Summary[]
The Sandbag is a recurring character in the Super Smash Bros. series, debuting in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It appeared as an item in Brawl and as the subject of punishment in the Home Run Contest mode. The item version was removed from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U, but it serves the same purpose in Home Run Contest. In the Smash Bros. fan game, Super Smash Flash 2 by McLeodGaming, the Sandbag appears as a joke playable character.
Powers and Stats[]
Tier: 7-B, higher with Final Smash
Name: Sandbag
Origin: Super Smash Flash 2
Gender: N/A
Age: N/A
Powers and Abilities: Dimensional Storage (In Brawl, the Sandbag item would occasionally drop items if it were hit. In SSF2, the Sandbag is able to spawn Capsules with it's neutral special and Bob-ombs with it's up special. Can in turn spawn other items through the Capsules it spawns.), slight Explosion Manipulation (Can spawn Bob-ombs to launch itself as a method of recovery. Capsules it spawns have a 1-in-8 chance to explode.), Time Manipulation via Final Smash
Attack Potency: City level (Should be comparable to the other Smash fighters in Flash 2, including Kirby, whose down special weighs 100 tons and moves faster than lightning, yielding this force.), higher via Final Smash (Can kill opponents with similar durability to him almost instantly.)
Speed: Massively Hypersonic+ (Capable of reacting to and fighting on par with characters such as Pikachu, Sora, and Pichu, all of which wield lightning in their movesets. Pikachu and Pichu's down specials in particular summon lightning bolts from the sky. Can also keep up with Kirby, whose Stone move moves faster than the Thunder attack from those two.)
Lifting Strength: Superhuman (Can grab and throw around heavyweight opponents such as Donkey Kong and Bowser despite his lack of arms.)
Striking Strength: City Class
Durability: City level (Capable of fighting on par with the other fighters in Flash 2's roster, all of which can damage each other while being able to tank Kirby's Stone attack, Sandbag included.)
Stamina: High
Range: Standard melee range. Extended melee range to higher depending on what items he spawns.
Standard Equipment: Can spawn Capsules and Bob-ombs normally. In turn can spawn any of the available items in Flash 2 through the capsules, with some exceptions.
Intelligence: Unknown
Weaknesses: Lacks good options for movement and recovery, complete with unorthodox movement due to it's anatomy. It's recovery move damages Sandbag the more it uses it, and if not careful it can accidentally KO itself at higher percentages.
