Schoolboy Runaway[]
Schoolboy Runaway, also referred to as Bad Parents Simulator, is a Russian stealth game created by an indie game developer named Linked Squad, who is known for making Russian horror games. Released on December 7th of 2024, the plot is that a young boy named Andrey wants to play outside with his friends, being Igor and Vika. However, there's a small issue. Due to him getting an F on his assignment, since he misbehaved in class, his strict mother grounded him. So now, he must find a way to sneak out of the house without getting punished.
Metel[]
Unlike Schoolboy Runaway, Metel is a Russian horror game that was created back in 2020. The story is about four victims attempting to escape the clutches of mostly calm yet psychotic kidnapper. It is also a minor Easter Egg in Schoolboy Runaway, as Andrey is seen playing it before his friend calls his name. Because of their odd connection, Metel is seen as the official prequel to the previous game, as there are several important references hidden throughout it.
Power of the Verse[]
At first glance, the verse is extremely weak, as it has basic similarities to the real world and characters who aren't stronger or weaker than standard humans. But since it seems to have quite a bit more variety than the eye can see, every character will have a comfortable place.
For Schoolboy Runaway, the family have been left at Human level, as they don't show any impressive feats of strength or power. The only possible exception would be the father, who is potentially Athlete level, since his arms are physically the most muscular out of the family, despite him being the oldest one. But suddenly, a preternatural entity named Clot appears and absorbed Andrey in his Backrooms dream, which ended him fast. Because Clot doesn't actually exist in the real world, it will be left at Unknown Tier, but is presumably Street level+, due to it making quick work him and because it can possibly kill humans that are physically peaked.
Things shift a little bit in Metel, as there are more characters who play a significant role within the game. The main protagonist of each chapter are Human level, much like the previously mentioned family. But the antagonist, simply referred to as The Maniac, is at least Street level, as he knocked out Alan for an indeterminate amount of time and can very easily kill him after headbutting or electrocuting him three times. Now, even though The Maniac and Clot are the two strongest characters in their respective games, one of them is a creature that originates from another dimension, being a Non-Canon version of The Backrooms, while the other one is an anonymous kidnapper and murderer.
In terms of abilities, the verse doesn't possess many. Andrey's mother has the strange capability of appearing in the attic via non-physical means (Teleportation), as well as both adults being able to run on top of a snow-covered roof without slipping off whatsoever (Surface Scaling). However, even if Andrey is hidden, both of the parents can somehow know his exact location (Extrasensory Perception), but only if they are close enough to him.
For Hax, the person who plays as Andrey is able to acquire access to Moderation Menu found on Andrey's computer after they type "Menu Mode On", but the special abilities which can be used by them, such as Size Manipulation, are not considered Canon to the main story.
