Summary[]

Shun'ei is an orphan who was adopted and trained by Tung Fu Rue after he was Shun'ei's immense powers caused the destruction of his home, causing his parents to have to give him up until Shun'ei learned how to control his immense powers. Shun'ei wields the powers of ice and fire which were given to him by Verse and another mysterious being that were both created when Ash erased himself from time.

After a lifetime of training, Shun'ei would be invited to the King of Fighters tournament along with his best friend Meitenkun and master Tung Fue Ru to form Team China. After the tournament was over and Verse was destroyed, Shun'ei and Meitenkun were being watched over by Benimaru Nikaido when they entered the next King of Fighters tournament.

During the climax of the King of Fighters XV tournament, Isla's powers went berserk and unleashed Re Verse, an entity like Verse who teleported Isla's team and Shun'ei's team into a pocket dimension where they fought before Re Verse was defeated and summoned Otoma=Raga, the Goddess of Truth who wishes to destroy the world. Isla and Shun'ei managed to seal her back in the void she came from before escaping from Re Verse's pocket dimension.

Once the tournament was over, Shun'ei and Meitenkun agreed to travel the world on their own martial artist's journey to see the world and to grow as fighters.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Hakkyougen'eiken: Due to his training with Tung Fue Ru, Shun'ei is a master of Hakkyougen'eiken, it is a combination of Hakkyokuseiken and Chinese boxing. Shun'ei uses this martial art in order to have better control over his two Illusionary Hands which were originally uncontrollable.

  • Illusionary Hands: Due to having a portion of two mysterious entities in his body, Shun'ei has the ability to create two large illusionary hands. These hands are as large as Shun'ei is and can be used to deliver large punches or jabs as well as grab the opponent and launch a large ball of fire and ice at the opponent. Shun'ei can form these illusionary hands around his own hands in order to increase his own physical punches and allow him to slash with claws as well as form an ice and fire aura around Shun'ei so that he can tackle an opponent while empowered with fire and ice energy.
  • Fire Hand: One of Shun'ei's illusionary hands is a Fire Hand. This hand is the size of Shun'ei and can appear out of Shun'ei's body. This hand can punch opponents to slam and burn the opponent.
  • Ice Hand: Shun'ei's other illusionary hand is an Ice Hand. This hand is the size of Shun'ei and can appear out of Shun'ei's body. This hand has large sharp icy claws that it uses as slashes and jabs to cut and stab the opponent.
  • Pocket Dimension Creation: Shun'ei during his Demolish Dimension' is able to create a pocket dimension filled with nothing but him and his opponent where Verse can fight without having to worry about the area around him getting in his way.

  • MAX Mode: MAX Mode is a power-up all fighters can access. In exchange for their Super Meter depleting quickly over time, the fighter gets enhanced strength and durability for a limited amount of time as well as access to enhanced versions of their strongest techniques and the ability to use their strongest technique. Once their Super Meter is empty, MAX Mode will end.
  • Extra Mode: Extra Mode is an advanced version of MAX Mode where after it runs out, all of the advantages gained from using MAX Mode are kept for the rest of the fight.
  • Armour Mode: Armour Mode is a power-up all fighters can access. In exchange for their Super Metre depleting quickly over time, the fighter gets greatly enhanced durability. Once their Super Meter is empty, Armour Mode will end.
  • Counter Mode: Counter Mode is a power-up all fighters can access. In exchange for their Super Meter depleting quickly over time, the fighter gets enhanced strength as well as the ability to use Guard Cancels and Guard Escapes as much as they want. Once their Super Meter is empty, Counter Mode will end.
  • Critical Counter Mode: Critical Counter Mode is a power-up all fighters can access. When a fighter has filled out their Critical Counter gauge and lands a counter with a heavy attack, they will enter Critical Counter Mode. In Critical Counter Mode, the fighter is able to string together attacks and techniques better making them a better fighter, when Critical Counter Mode is nearly over, the fighter can choose to end it with an enhanced version of their strongest move. Once the Critical Counter gauge is empty, Critical Counter Mode will end.
  • Hyperdrive Mode: Hyperdrive Mode is a power-up all fighters can access. In exchange for their Super Meter depleting quickly over time, the fighter gets the ability to cancel every one of their moves and techniques, allowing them to combo all of their moves and techniques together better. Once their Super Meter is empty, Hyperdrive Mode will end.

  • Buster Knee Kick: The Buster Knee Kick is a special technique where Shun'ei grabs the opponent's shoulders and lifts himself in the air before swinging back down and kneeing the opponent in the chest.
  • Aerial Leg Throw: The Aerial Leg Throw is a special technique where Shun'ei jumps on the opponent's shoulders, grabbing them by the neck with his knees before lifting them and slamming them to the ground.

  • Sky Axe: The Sky Axe is a special technique where Shun'ei leaps forward towards the opponent before delivering a high kick to the opponent's head.
  • Ground Hammer: The Ground Hammer is a special technique where Shun'ei lifts his arm up before he slams his elbow down onto the opponent.
  • Scarlet Phantom: The Scarlet Phantom is a special technique where Shun'ei dashes forward before punching the opponent with his large Illusionary Fire Hand.
  • Aqua Spear: The Aqua Spear is a special technique where Shun'ei dashes forward before jabbing the opponent with his large Illusionary Ice Hand.
  • Rising Efreet: The Rising Efreet is a special technique where Shun'ei dashes forward before punching upwards with his large Illusionary Fire Hand.
  • Blau Wing: The Blau Wing is a special technique where Shun'ei leaps into the air and slashes the opponent with his large Illusionary Fire Hand.
  • Thruster Vision: The Thruster Vision is a special technique where Shun'ei dashes forwards, backwards, down or diagonally in the air by using either his large Illusionary Fire Hand or Ice Hand.

  • Gaianic Burst: The Gaianic Burst is a special technique where Shun'ei slams both of his large Illusionary Fire Hand and Ice Hand before firing a ball of chi through the hands, causing the chi to absorb some of the fire and ice energy from each of the hands so when the ball of chi hits the opponent they will suffer both burns and freezes.
  • Specter Extension: The Specter Extension is a special technique where Shun'ei forms an aura of fire and ice around his body before dashing forward towards the opponent and elbowing the opponent in the chest.
  • Demolish Dimension: The Demolish Dimension is a special technique where Shun'ei tackles the opponent into the air before rapidly punching the opponent with both of his large Illusionary Fire Hand and Ice Hand before firing a ball of fire and ice at the opponent before forming an aura of fire and ice around him before dashing forward and tackling through the opponent.
  • Phantom Singulation: The Phantom Singulation is a special technique where Shun'ei hits the opponent into the air before he forms both of his large Illusionary Fire Hand and Ice Hand around his own hands, Shun'ei then dashes toward the opponent and slashes them with his Ice Hand's claws before jumping into the air and punching him with his Fire Hand.

Note 1: Games like King of Fighters Sky Stage and SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy are considered canon by the creators of the games with KOF Sky Stage taking place after the NESTS Saga and SNK Heroines takes place after King of Fighters XIV.

Note 2: As of King of Fighters XIV, the Samurai Shodown is canon to the King of Fighters series and as such, Shun'ei would scale to any character in those games and the feats they scale to.
