Summary:
Skull Kid is a recurring character in the: "The Legend of Zelda" series. Originally though his appearence was different, it was when he entered the Lost Woods that he turned into a "Skull Kid", as stated by Nawi: "Children who wander into the Lost Woods turn into Skull Kid. This means there probably exist multiple variations of him. Skull Kid's face design resembles a bird, they dress in red cloaks and they have multiple layers of clothing. Important to know is that when a child turn into Skull Kid they get cursed.
Later on Skull Kid steals Majora's Mask from the Happy Mask Salesman. Majora is a very powerful demon, who exists for over thousands of years right now, though for Majora to work he needs a puppet whom he can control. When Skull Kid started to put on the mask Majora immediately started to take over Skull Kid's body. Majora's plan is to destroy the world of Termina and its planet with The Moon, because of the anger of Skull Kid that his friends: The Four Giants left him. Since the Game consists of a 5 layer dimensionality construct with 3 possible save files there probably does a scenario exist where Skull Kid/Majora does actually succeed in his plan to destroy the world and its universe, though we know that at least in the main plot he didnt succeed, also is connected with OOT. An Argument why there is a possible scenario that he succeeds is because there exists a 3 day countdown in wich The Moon, controlled by Skull Kid/Majora hits Termina and destroys the entire Planet. Unfortunately this ending is not canon though as Link succeeds in his mission to safe Termina. Link defeated Majora by using the Fierce Deity Mask, wich is the only weakness to Majora, and therefore taking all the power Majora had away. Also since Majora is possessing Skull Kid, Skull Kid with Majora should have every feat Majora has because of Majora controlling him.
Later on in the Zelda Timeline Majora appeared in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and in A Link Between Worlds wich would grant him existence outside of the World of Termina.
In Super Smash Bros. Skull Kid/Majora got featured as a guest role in Super Smash Bros. 3DS, WiiU and Ultimate.
