~ Soldier Boy to Homelander. |
Summary[]
Ben, better known as Soldier Boy, is a major antagonist in the Amazon TV adaption of the controversial adult comic-book series The Boys, appearing as a mentioned character in Seasons 1 and 2, and a major antagonist in Season 3.
He was America’s first, greatest and most popular superhero before Homelander. He helped his fellow American troops in battle during World War II alongside his superhero team, Payback. It is assumed by the public that he fought for liberty and justice for all, until his disappearance during a botched operation in Nicaragua, with the cover story being that he heroically sacrificed his own life to save America from a nuclear power plant meltdown in 1984.
However, he was awfully corrupt and was indirectly responsible for the deaths of Mother's Milk's family members in the 1980's after he punched a criminal's vehicle onto Mother's Milk's family home. And in actuality, Soldier Boy was subdued and kidnapped by Russian agents in Nicaragua and brought to Russia to be tortured and experimented on for many years to come before being rescued by The Boys in 2022 to aid them in taking down Vought International and killing Homelander, who is later revealed to be his son.

Methodically avoided Mindstorm's powers, easily seeing through his attempt at tricking them, and got information out of him before killing him)
Weaknesses: When Soldier Boy's PTSD is triggered, his emotional state can get out of control, causing him to lose control over his powers. It takes time for Soldier Boy to build up sufficient energy to fire his radiation-infused energy discharges and he can barely move without interrupting his charges. Still needs to breathe despite his physical nigh-invulnerability. Extremely powerful toxins like the Novichok nerve agent can weaken him for a short time or even knock him out. His shield can be weakened and even destroyed if exposed to enough heat. As a supe, he is vulnerable to high-frequency sounds, which can cause him immense pain.
Note: While every weapon would include the Tsar Bomba, there’s reasons why the statement likely wouldn’t include that bomb. For one, at this moment in time, only Russia had access to the Tsar Bomba, so it’s not very likely that they had used that specific nuke on him. The second issue is that Soldier Boy, who is considered nearly as strong as Homelander himself was stated to be able to die to Hydrogen bombs which include the Tsar Bomba, and three, Vought likes to lie a lot and they aren't credible at all, so its very unlikely that Theye'd actually have access to nuclear weapons. Also, regarding Nubia, Homelander wouldn't scale to it as we don't see her create her storm in a combat applicable way, plus I've heard that the feat has apparently been debunked to Large Building Level, i don't not have the debunk, but i did send a friend request to someone who supposedly has it and im waiting from a response from them. Its also a Hax thing as well. So it’s very likely that Soldier Boy wouldn’t upscale nukes.
