Character Stats and Profiles Wiki

In the past, we have encouraged users to create new pages for powers and abilities they thought the wiki lacked. However, as of now, we want new pages to be approved by the staff, meaning that new powers and abilities pages must be suggested. This can be done in our official Discord server in the suggestion channel, or messaged to a staff member. Of course, users can always create blogs about powers and abilities to include in their profiles if they don't want to attempt creating official pages. Linking to other wikis' powers and abilities pages is also permitted.

Summary[]

Son Goku (孫悟空 Son Gokū) is a character in the many movies of the Dragon Ball series, serving as the protagonist of most of them.

In the classic Dragon Ball movies, the story of Son Goku is loosely retold, maintaining many elements of the original story while making very significant changes and introducing completely new characters at the same time. In the original 13 Dragon Ball Z movies, we instead see alternative continuations of the main story, what-if scenarios[1], often reusing themes from the original story with a large number of new and iconic characters.

These movies take place in different dimensions from the main story, and even in the movies that try to continue the anime, many inconsistencies and contradictions can be found, indicating that the worlds they're set in are different.

Intelligence: Average in general. Genius in combat. Although he lacks knowledge when it comes to things that aren't related to fighting, Goku is a master of prodigal skill when it comes to martial arts. His intelligence as a martial artist allows him to imitate many advanced techniques after only seeing them once and devising new applications of his current techniques on the spot.

Weaknesses: Goku's tail is his weak-point, causing him to lose all his strength when grabbed (Applies to keys 1, 2, 3, and 4),

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Ki: The fundamental energy that humans are comprised of, and the comprehensive power an individual has. Ki as a concept includes spiritual powers such as vitality, soberness, bravery, and so on. It can be used in a number of ways, such as to surpass the limits of one's body to greatly increase in strength, and it can be fired as blasts of energy or used to create defensive barriers.

  • Kamehameha: A ki manipulation technique thought up by Kame-sennin. It is a technique that condenses ki into one point and then fires it. The technique's force changes based on the strength of its user's ki, and if mastered it also becomes possible to control its force. Goku picked up on this technique in mere moments after witnessing Roshi destroy a battleship with it.

Martial arts: Goku is an incredibly talented martial artist as mentioned earlier, although his experience in this continuity is somewhat lacking.

  • Janken: One of the few special attacks that Goku had before he acquired the Kamehameha. "Guu" [rock] is a punch, "Choki" [scissors] is an eye-poke, and "Pa" [paper] is a palm slap. Sometimes he uses them separately, but there are also times when he uses them as a combo attack. What's more, there are also times when he will feint by calling out "Guu" but doing a "Paa".

Saiyan Physiology: The physiology of a Saiyan, an aggressive warrior race of conquerors. Saiyans have the natural ability to control ki and to fly, likely playing part in Goku's incredible talent when it comes to the usage and control of ki. In addition, while his lifespan is comparable to that of a human, Goku will remain at his peak strength for much longer. One of the most powerful abilities of a Saiyan is their ability to grow stronger and stronger through combat, allowing Goku to constantly push his own limits during a fight and rise to higher and higher peaks in power. This ability grants a substantial boost in power when Goku is badly injured, allowing him to reach a whole new level of power once he recovers.

Explanations[]

This is a composite profile of Goku in all the Dragon Ball and Z movies, The Path to Ultimate Power, Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans and its remake, Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans. As such, not every key will upscale from the last, as most are completely different versions of Goku. I'll list the continuities here for reference:

OG Dragon Ball movies 1-3: Retellings of the first few arcs of Dragon Ball with a lot of creative liberties. These connect to each other on account of [Goku's original gi still being in-tact in movie 2 due to him not transforming into an Oozaru in movie 1], [Yamcha speaking to Roshi as if they both know each other], and [Bulma and co. already knowing who Krillin is for the martial arts tournament in Mifan].

Path to Power: Obviously a standalone continuity, as it retells the Search for the Dragon Balls and Red Ribbon Army arcs with a ton of creative liberties much like the previous movies.
