~ Timmy about Mewberty Star[2] |
Summary[]
Star Butterfly, also known as Star the Underestimated, is the main and titular protagonist of Star vs. the Forces of Evil. She is a teenage princess of the Kingdom of Mewni (which is located in another dimension) sent to Earth by her parents in order to learn how to use the royal magic wand, with supervision from Glossaryck.
In seasons 1-2, she lives with her Earth hosts, the Diaz family. In season 3, she returns home to Mewni. As of season 4, she lives in the Monster Temple following the destruction of Butterfly Castle. She was also the 37th Queen of Mewni for four days before giving the kingdom to Eclipsa Butterfly. As of "Doop-Doop", she is back to living on Earth. From "Here to Help" onward, she is Marco's girlfriend.

- Social Influencing (Her speech alone caused the Box of Truth to collapse.[23] With words, she was able to make Lobster Claws resist wand's corruption[24])
- Acrobatics (Is shown to be pretty agile in fights. Accidentally did a flip even when she could not see anything[25])
- Toon Force (Constantly has her eyes getting unnaturally big and shining, especially in earlier episodes, in a stereotypical cartoonish way. Can prolong her arms in a cartoonish way.[26] Can have the environment around her be warped in a cartoonish way during magical change of clothes[27] and transformation into the Butterfly Form[6])
- Magic and Reality Warping

- Duplication[48]
- Purification (Type 1; Purified magic from Toffee's corruption[3])
- Transformation into her Ultimate Magic Form
- Space-Time Fusionism (Even when the source of magic was destroyed,[49] she and Marco performed their final spell which ultimately merged Earth and Mewni.[49] Star's contribution to it should be far greater than Marco's due to being far more experienced and powerful in magic, and Marco never once showing any feats remotely at that level unlike Star herself, meaning her contribution to the spell is on that level)
- Resistance to Fire Manipulation (Is not bothered by the torch inside her mouth and survived being burnt by multiple baby dragons[5][50])

- Portal Creation & Dimensional Travel & BFR (Can create portals that lead to other dimensions with her own powers in this form)
- Regeneration Negation (Up to High-Mid; Annihilated Toffee who couldn't regenerate from the attack[3])
Attack Potency: Varies, at least Large Planet level[Statistics Value 1] (Harmed Lobster Claws.[51] Black holes chargers are considered a normal product that anyone can buy in Quest Buy while looking for other types of chargers.[51] Possesses Mega-Explosive Crystal Laser,[52] which she herself stated to be able to "neutralize" entire planets.[43][Note 1] Should be superior to likes of Helios and Zedlord, with the former casually deciding to devour the whole Earth when there was no more food left[35] and latter blewing up an entire planet,[53] since they are not portrayed as the most powerful beings or anything like that. Should be very likely comparable to Skywynne Butterfly, who accidentally stopped the rotation of the entire planet Mewni while working on another spell, and later made it rotate again,[14] which requires this much energy), possibly Star level (Should be superior to likes of Helios and Astrobell, with the former being a living Sun[35] and the latter being able to create black holes and Rhombulus stating that he "stopped it just in time", implying it could have grown way bigger, if not up to normal sizes of black holes,[53] since they are not portrayed as the most powerful beings or anything like that) normally, far higher with first Dip Down made by herself or Whispering Spell (Scales above her base-self), Universe level with sufficient prior charging and preparation (Should be very likely able to repeat Skywynne's explosion spell,[14] given that she can reach far higher levels), Low Multiverse level with "final spell" (Even when the source of magic was destroyed,[49] she and Marco performed their final spell which ultimately merged Earth and Mewni.[49] Star's contribution to it should be far greater than Marco's due to being far more experienced and powerful in magic, and Marco never once showing any feats remotely at that level unlike Star herself, meaning her contribution to the spell is on that level), up to at least Low Complex Multiverse level at full power (Wand is superior to the Box of Truth, as it was referred to as "all the power in the universe" by Toffee when he was accusing Ludo of being incapable of stealing it during the best moment possible,[54] and Ludo himself also said that he "fused with the most powerful relic in existence",[55] referring to him fusing with the wand.[56] Even with half of wand, Toffee one-shoted Omnitraxus Prime.[57] Was able to beat up Rhombulus when she became angry[58]), can ignore durability in multiple ways | At least Large Planet level,[Statistics Value 1] possibly Star level (Comparable, if not superior, to her Season 1 Base) | At least Low Complex Multiverse level (Superior to her peak base-self. Completely annihilated Toffee in one blast.[3] Consistently harmed Meteora with various spells[22]), can ignore durability in multiple ways
Speed: FTL (Reacted to and dodged Past Moon’s laser attack which was reflected from the sword, and moved far faster compared to it.[59] Reacted to laser attack from Rhombulus[60]) with much higher attack speed (Many of her spells are far faster than she herself is) up to MFTL+ attack speed with Skywynne’s explosion spell (Given the narrative, that “mighty blast” destroyed the entirety of universe in a matter of seconds[14]) | FTL (Should not be any slower than her Season 2 self) with likely higher Attack Speed | FTL with much higher attack speed up to MFTL+ attack speed with Skywynne’s explosion spell (Same as in base)
Lifting Strength: Class 25[Statistics Value 2] (Briefly clashed flags with her own father[30]), Class Y with Gravity Restoration spell (Is able to make the planet Mewni rotate again by "lossoing" it just like Skywynne did,[14]) | At least Class 25[Statistics Value 2] (Stronger than before) | At least Class 25[Statistics Value 2] (Stronger than before), Class Y with Gravity Restoration spell (Is able to make the planet Mewni rotate again by "lossoing" it just like Skywynne did[14])
Striking Strength: Varies, at least Large Planet level[Statistics Value 1] (Physically harmed Lobster Claws.[51] Comparable to Marco. Can physically harm Ludo[51] Comparable to her own Attack Potency), possibly Star level (Comparable to Attack Potency. Should be superior to likes of Helios who is a living Sun) normally, far higher with first Dip Down made by herself (Comparable to Attack Potency), Universe level with sufficient prior charging and preparation (Comparable to Attack Potency), Low Multiverse level with "final spell" (Comparable to Attack Potency), up to at least At least Low Complex Multiverse level at full power (Was implied to physically beat up Rhombulus when she became angry.[58] Comparable to Attack Potency) | At least Large Planet level,[Statistics Value 1] possibly Star level (Comparable, if not superior, to her Season 1 Base) | At least Low Complex Multiverse level (Superior to her peak base-self)
Durability: Varies, at least Large Planet level[Statistics Value 1] (Comparable to Attack Potency. Both Star and Marco are unbothered by the nearby small black hole that was recently spawned,[51] with Marco being a responsible, "safe kid" who is usually very overprotective against any danger[1]), far higher with first Dip Down made by herself (Comparable to Attack Potency), possibly Star level (Comparable to Attack Potency. Should be superior to likes of Helios and Astrobell, with the former being a living Sun and the latter being able to create black holes, being seemingly unbothered by its nearness at all[53]) normally, Universe level with sufficient prior charging and preparation (Should be able to survive Skywynne's explosion spell like Skywynne herself did.[14] Comparable to Attack Potency), Low Multiverse level with "final spell" (Comparable to Attack Potency), up to at least Low Complex Multiverse level at full potential (Tanked her own "all-in-all" attack going through her body.[22] Was implied to physically beat up Rhombulus when she became angry.[58] Comparable to Attack Potency) | At least Large Planet level,[Statistics Value 1] possibly Star level (Comparable, if not superior, to her Season 1 base self) | At least Low Complex Multiversal level (Superior to her peak base-self)
Stamina: Superhuman (Did not sleep for two days and stopped being tired after a brief nap.[61] Was having fun with Marco for 16 hours non-stop during the time stop she caused.[40] Had been looking for a Goblin Dog truck in 12 universes[62] and waited for 6 hours for a Goblin Dog after that without any problem whatsoever.[62] Is completely unbothered from being ran over by the Wheel of Progress.[63] Was implied to be questing for weeks with little-to-no food to find Moon along with her father and Marco[64]) | Superhuman | Superhuman
Range: Tens of Meters with various spells, Planetary with gravity spells, Planetary, likely Interplanetary Mega-Explosive Crystal Laser, Universal with Skywynne's explosion spell, Interdimensional with Dimensional Scissors, Low Multiversal with “final spell”, Low Complex Multiversal with Time Freeze | Up to Tens of Meters with abilties | Same as in base, Interdimensional via Portal Creation, Low Complex Multiversal with strongest spells
Standard Equipment: Royal Magic Wand, Dimensional Scissors, Star Butterfly's sword
Intelligence: Gifted (It was revealed her air-headed tendencies are done on purpose.[14] Star has proven herself to be quite smart when push comes to shove. As of Storm the Castle, she has shown herself to be a more than capable and serious fighter if the situation calls for it. It was somewhat implied that she has an understanding of space-time and multiverse theory.[63] Has proven herself to be a decent queen in her mother's absence to fullfill that role[20][22])
Weaknesses:
- Dodged lightning without much effort.[65]
- Is not affected at all after falling from the sky in base.[2]
- Is not affected at all after falling hundreds of feet while inside of a bus in base.[7]
- Lifted Marco encased in crystal in base.[53]
- Lifted four teenagers without any problem whatsoever in base.[23]
- Casually lifted a car with Oskar in it to the sky in Mewberty form.[2]
- Casually lifted a food truck even while unconscious in Ultimate Magic Form.[29]
- Is completely unbothered from being ran over by the Wheel of Progress.[63]
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
Note:- ↑ Although she doesn't destroy anything with it and only uses to distract large cats, she very likely refrains to do so for humanitarian reasons, as users of magic were shown to be able to massively reduce spell's destructive outcome despite keeping same potency. The energy should scale to all of her other regular spells. More info on these reasonings is shown here.
Extra notes: Star can use all of Skywynne's spells due to the fact that she actually read Skywynne's chapter all the way through.[14] "Final spell" refers to the last spell which was performed by Star and Marco in the last episode of the show. The reasoning behind Attack Potency scaling to physicals, as well as the final spell performed by Star and Marco scaling to Attack Potency despite essentially being an Environmental Destruction feat, will be explained in the blog soon. This part of note will be removed once the blog is completed.
