Character Stats and Profiles Wiki

In the past, we have encouraged users to create new pages for powers and abilities they thought the wiki lacked. However, as of now, we want new pages to be approved by the staff, meaning that new powers and abilities pages must be suggested. This can be done in our official Discord server in the suggestion channel, or messaged to a staff member. Of course, users can always create blogs about powers and abilities to include in their profiles if they don't want to attempt creating official pages. Linking to other wikis' powers and abilities pages is also permitted.

The reason I sought strength was to live an easygoing life one can enjoy.
~ Suiryu

With or without heroes, all the surviving humans will continue to survive on their own. With or without monsters, the weak will be weeded out. It's just nature's way.
~ Suiryu to Sneck

When people are beaten down into a dark place, they seek the light. No matter how frail or small that light may be, in that light there is still... hope.
~ Suiryu realizing the purpose of heroes

Summary[]

"Void Fist" Suiryu. Five-time Super Fight champion, he made a name for himself with his incredible power and talent for martial arts. His fighting style is the Void Fist, which he learned from his late grandfather, Suicho.

Suiryu is strong. Exceptionally so, even though he hardly put effort into becoming so strong. According to him, all he ever really did was spar with his grandfather, and even then he'd often skip training to do whatever he felt like doing instead. He slacked off a lot, yet he still became so powerful and skilled that he won the grandest martial arts tournament--the Super Fight--four times in a row. He got bored, so he stopped putting effort into training for several years. All he really cares about is having fun; he lived a hedonistic life.

In the 22nd Super Fight, Suiryu would encounter a few professional heroes. While fighting them, he expressed his disapproval of heroes. To him, they don't mean anything. They don't even exist. A "hero" is just name. A job. "Great ambitions. High and mighty ideals. An inflated sense of morality. A heroic sense of justice." All things they hold high despite being so weak. They're nothing compared to the "strong guys" like Suiryu, their efforts don't matter, their ideals are meaningless to the fun he wants to have. Or so he thought. In truth, Suiryu was never challenged in a fight, and therefore his perspective never was either.

One day, he met an especially fearsome monster: the inaugural Super Fight champion, Gouketsu. As a cadre of the Monster Association, he was so overwhelmingly strong that Suiryu was totally helpless against him. He was effortlessly crippled by him, then left to face his disciples, the Three Crows, by himself. Unable to fend for himself in his injured state, he would be saved by the heroes he defeated earlier: Snek and Lightning Max, now armed with their hero gear. Together they defeated the Three Crows, but still found themselves helpless against Gouketsu and a surprising threat: Bakuzan, a participant in the Super Fight who greedily accepted the offer to become a monster. Bakuzan brutalized Suiryu, leaving him helpless once more. Despite the pain he endured, the humiliation and fear, he remained defiant until he was finally saved by Saitama. It was the terror and hopelessness he felt in this encounter that taught him the meaning of heroes: hope. When faced with overwhelming despair, people look for a ray of light that gives them hope, no matter how dim it is. That ray of light is what we call a "hero," which Suiryu decided to become by joining the Neo Heroes.

Powers and Stats[]

Tier: High 6-A

Hero Ranking: Neo Leader

Name: Suiryu

Origin: One-Punch Man

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Classification: Human, Martial Artist, Super Fight Champion, Neo Hero

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Superhuman Athleticism, Acrobatics, Martial Arts, Extrasensory Perception (Sensed Bakuzan's animosity), Analytical Prediction (Determined he would face Saitama in the finals of the Super Fight just based on his two-move fight against Zakos), Accelerated Development (Suiryu got as strong as he did by casually sparring with his teacher, even though he was slacking off a lot and spent a long time not even training), Pain Suppression (Fought through the injuries inflicted to him by Gouketsu, including a broken arm, and showed defiance against Bakuzan after taking a flurry of attacks from him and having his leg broken. Did one-armed handstand pushups while bandaged up and hospitalized, with his nurse warning him that his condition would worsen, although Suiryu disagreed), Flight & Spin Attack (The Void Sky Dragon Fist uses the momentum of Suiryu's blows to deliver a flurry of combos in mid-air), Shockwave Creation (The Void Shaking Tiger Fist shattered half of the Super Fight arena and can pulverize a truck), Adaptation & Resistance to Death Manipulation, Mind Manipulation & Power Nullification (After seeing him fight, Gouketsu deduced that Suiryu could be promoted to a cadre position. This means he can adapt to monster cells and resist the potential side effects of monsterization, which include death, deteriorated intelligence, and halted growth)

Attack Potency: Multi-Continent level (G4 Genos referred to Suiryu as a phenomenal fighter and considerably strong. Was eager to fight Garou after watching his performance in the previous Super Fight. Helped Lightning Max and Snek defeat the Three Crows, who together have a disaster level of Demon, making them at least on the level of a powerful Tiger level monster like Electric Catfish Man individually, according to Gyoro Gyoro's method of ranking monsters. Broke Bakuzan's toe)

Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic (Casually countered Max's attack and knocked him out. Lightning Max has lightning-fast kicks. His high-speed kicks can be mistaken for lightning bolts. He was named for his lightning-fast kicks. His Lightning Kick is fast enough to deserve the name "lightning"[1]), likely FTL (Max's kick has been likened to a "flash of lightning"[1] which is basically the light that comes off of lightning, and Suiryu is much faster than him. Genos praised Suiryu as a phenomenal fighter, implying his strength, speed, and skill are all impressive to him)

Lifting Strength: Class M (Lifted half of the Super Fight arena using one leg)

Striking Strength: Multi-Continent Class

Durability: Multi-Continent level (Even while heavily injured, he took hits from the Three Crows. Survived a beatdown from Bakuzan, who Gouketsu said should be capable enough to surpass an S-Class hero, making him stronger than G4 Genos)

Stamina: Superhuman (Won the Super Fight multiple times, including one that was completed within a day. After intensely fighting Saitama, he went on to fight and defeat an opponent on his level in Choze. He then suffered Gouketsu's torture, but still managed to fight through the heavy injuries he received from him and survive against the Three Crows. Took a brutal onslaught of attacks from Bakuzan while injured enough to be hospitalized, yet still maintained consciousness and the ability to move until Saitama arrived and saved him)

Range: Standard melee range. Tens of meters with Void Sky Tiger Fist.

Standard Equipment: None

Intelligence: At least Gifted (Suiryu was a four-time champion of the Super Fight, a tournament regarded as the "pinnacle of martial arts," then won a fifth. Although he won by disqualification and was not the strongest fighter in the tournament, Saitama isn't qualified to participate in the Super Fight to begin with, so Suiryu realistically would have won anyway if he wasn't there. After seeing Saitama defeat Zakos in a fight where each of them made just one move, he knew he would be facing Saitama in the finals, which ended up being absolutely correct. Got as strong as he is by casually sparring with his teacher, despite slacking off a lot and not putting all that much effort into training. Gouketsu was impressed by Suiryu when he saw him fight, enough so that he was keen on convincing him to become a monster, even saying he could become a cadre of the Monster Association)

Weaknesses: Suiryu tends to start fights off while holding back, and toys with opponents he sees as weak.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Void Fist: Suiryu's fighting style that he learned through his grandfather Suicho's teachings and training.
    • Void Sky Dragon Fist: Suiryu delivers a spinning flurry of attacks to his opponent, turning himself into a miniature hurricane that uses the momentum of his blows to stay in mid-air.
    • Void Shaking Tiger Fist: Suiryu establishes a firm footing by planting his foot into the ground, sending shockwaves through it that crack it, and delivers a powerful uppercut to his opponent.
    • Void Ascending Phoenix Fist: Suiryu twists his fist as he digs into his opponent's body with a punch, sending them flying and twisting up the area he struck.
