Summary[]
Sundowner is a war veteran and cyborg mercenary who served as the de facto leader of the PMC Desperado Enforcement LLC. during their activities in 2018, as well as a member of the Winds of Destruction, alongside Mistral and Monsoon. His name was derived from the wind condition that occurs in Southern California. Donning a specialized custom cyborg body, the immense Sundowner wielded two high-frequency machetes known as "Bloodlust." In addition, the two machetes could also be merged into a scissors-like contraption to cause further damage to the enemy. His cyborg serial number was 978-AZQEE.
Powers and Statistics[]

Origin: Metal Gear
Species: Human (Cyborg)
Age: 55-60
Height: 208 cm (6'10")
Weight: Unknown (Human-to-cyborg ratio not specified)
Moral Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Classification: U.S. war veteran/war criminal, cyborg warlord, leader of Desperado Enforcement LLC.
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Cyborgization (Normal)
- Nanotechnology
- Acrobatics
- Martial Arts
- Weapon Mastery
- Self-Sustenance (All Types; cyborgs can unconventionally breathe for short periods. His nanomachines should be unfathomably superior to Snake's)
- Durability Negation, Matter Manipulation (Quantum) & Vibration Manipulation with High-Frequency blade (High-Frequency weapons vibrate extremely fast, allowing them to disrupt atoms with ease by shrinking their electron clouds. HF weapons can also cause changes to their edges particles at a quantum level, as well as cause quantum decoherence in the plank scale)
- Explosion Manipulation (has explosive armor shields that automatically repel enemies backwards)
- Heat Manipulation (capable of heating up his HF blades, increasing their damage potential and cutting ability)
- Summoning (can summon reinforcements from Desperado, including mercenaries and UGs, or even a Metal Gear RAY)
- Pain Suppression (has pain inhibitors)
- Healing (via Repair Nanopaste)
- Disease Manipulation (Nanomachines give immunity to diseases)
- Heat Manipulation (all cyborgs use the same systems as Raiden)
- Emotional Manipulation and Fear Manipulation (Nanomachines suppress hormones and negative emotions, and also neutralize pain. While still feeling those emotions deep inside their mind, they are unaffected by them physically and are fully capable of fighting as if they aren’t there)
- Radiation Manipulation (Comparable to Raiden's cyborg body, who claimed he could survive in Outer Haven's microwave chamber)
- Electricity and Magnetism Manipulation (recent cyborg models shut down all electronics when detecting electromagnetic pulses.)
- Poison Manipulation
- Durability Negation, Matter, Quantum and Vibration (has specialised armor to withstand HF blades)
Attack Potency: At most Large Mountain level+ (Raiden claims that if he gets caught in between his pincer blades, he's screwed. Sam taunts Raiden by asking how he beat Sundowner like this)
Striking Strength: At most Large Mountain level+ (can send Raiden flying with his strikes)
Lifting Strength: At most Class T (should be stronger than Sam, who can briefly overpower Raiden, but still weaker than Armstrong. Manually rips apart and swings a large pole. He is also able to swing the Bloodlust machetes with far greater ease than Raiden)
Speed: FTL+ (comparable but inferior to Raiden, who can dodge point-blank EMPs)
Durability: At most Large Mountain level+ (superior to Raiden, who could survive an extended beatdown from Armstrong. Stated that Raiden's hits tickled)
Stamina: Superhuman (superior to Raiden, who can fight for almost a day)
- HF Pincer Blades: A pair of huge square-tipped HF blades resembling European executioner's swords, mounted in a bracket that allows them to be used as a giant pair of shears. They are a slow but extremely powerful weapon in Raiden's hands, used for sweeping, heavy strikes. Codec calls during the fight with Sundowner mock the very concept of the weapon.
- Explosive Armor Shields: A pair of shields that react by causing explosive knockback whenever damage is detected.
- Custom Cyborg Body: Sundowner possesses a custom CNT (carbon-nanotube) cyborg body giving him enhanced strength, durability, speed and despite his size, agility.
- Electrolyte Pack: A container of the molten carbonate electrolytes used to power military cyborgs' fuel cells.
- Repair Nanopaste: Substance used by UGs and Cyborgs to recover from sustained injuries akin to how an average human regenerates from wounds but at a much faster rate.
- Tiltrotor Aircaft: A tiltrotor helicopter that Sundowner can use to extract himself out of combat situations. It can also use flares to confuse homing missiles.
- Hammerhead: Unmanned variants of the Canard Rotor VTOL helicopter, enhanced with carbon-nanotube armor and can provide tactical backup to Sundowner, serving as potential distractions for more agile opponents so he can close in.
Intelligence: Gifted (Had decent grades but was too poor for college. Is the leader of Desperado Enforcement LLC., and has good legal knowledge, capable of finding loopholes to harvest children's brains legally, although he still had backing from the senate, he was the one who actually ran the Sears program), Genius in combat (Sundowner is a bloodthirsty warrior, his appetite for war only halted by an IED explosion knocking him out, but he came back to his prime with his cybernetic conversion. Despite his appearance, he is a very strategic opponent, using helicopters to distract Raiden in order to get him to engage him in close-combat or catch him off-guard with his powerful strikes. He is very experienced, with over 29 years of experience, and has served in various wars. Can create simulations of warfare for kids that he claims feel "as real as anything else")
Range: Extended Melee Range, Several Meters with HF blade (HF blades can cut targets without being in direct contact with them), Tens of Meters with explosions, higher with potential optional equipment.
