“ | What is needed on the battlefield is true courage that can stare evil directly in its face! | „ |
~ Superalloy Darkshine |
“ | Let me teach you one more thing. They say there are three heroes that one absolutely cannot afford to anger. The strongest being on Earth, Mr. King. If angered, his King Engine will roar, stamping out every evil in an instant. The esper with overwhelming killing ability, Tatsumaki-chan. If angered, she'll reduce you to dust so not even your corpse will remain. And there's yours truly, forever black and shiny, Superalloy Darkshine. If you dare anger me... These muscles will not hold back. | „ |
~ Darkshine to Garou |
“ | This is perfect. I always like a nice shower after a workout. It increases the shine! That was a nice high pressure shower, thanks ☆ |

“ | It doesn't matter how much protein you've got... or how dark you may be... you guys just don't have enough shine! | „ |
~ Darkshine to Black Sperm |
Summary[]
S-Class Rank 9: Superalloy Darkshine. A hulking figure with impenetrable muscles and an incomparable shine. His strength and endurance are his greatest assets, more than worthy of the Hero Association's very best. He takes immense pride in it all, as he built it from the ground up. Darkshine was once a frail little kid just like anyone else, but through rigorous training, he made his body into an impenetrable fortress.
Though Darkshine is overwhelmingly powerful, he is far from confrontational compared to his fellow S-Class. He often finds himself playing the peacekeeper to keep things from getting out of hand between them. His terrifying physique is off-set by his gentle personality.
Superalloy Darkshine always searched for opponents who could push him to 100%. Was he after a good fight? No. All he wanted was a gratifying victory. When he can't control the outcome of a fight, when something taints his shine, he loses himself. His fatal flaw is his fragile spirit.
Powers and Stats[]
Tier: High 6-A | 5-B
Key: Post-Alien Conquerors Arc | Monster Association Arc
Hero Ranking: S-Class Rank 9 (retired)
Name: Superalloy Darkshine (Hero name, real name unknown)
Origin: One-Punch Man
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Classification: Human
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Superhuman Athleticism, Acrobatics, Attack Reflection (Darkshine's Shimmer causes attacks to bounce off him. His body is an impenetrable fortress that repels all attacks[1]), Spin Attack (Unleashed what looked like a spin attack on the Black Sperms), Resistance to Acid Manipulation (Received "meager" damage from Vomited Fuhrer Ugly's acid, which was strong enough to melt Black Sperms, swords, and the swordmasters' bodies)
Attack Potency: Multi-Continent level (Fought Carnage Kabuto while he was in Carnage Mode and eventually defeated him, with Genos noting that his strength goes beyond Kabuto's defense. After winning, Darkshine was interested in fighting something stronger) | Planet level (Tatsumaki considered the other S-Class heroes participating in the raid on the Monster Association to be pretty strong, implying they could take on Orochi while presumably understanding that he's stronger than Gyoro Gyoro. Effortlessly obliterated Bug God and Evil Natural Water. Destroyed many Black Sperms. Dominated Half-Monster Garou, and shattered his ribs with a tackle that not only was strong enough to kill him, but not even Bang's Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist could deflect as far as Garou is aware. His Superalloy Missile crippled Orochi's body composing Jet Psykos)
Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic, possibly FTL (Defeated Carnage Kabuto in a head-on fight) | At least Massively FTL (Saw through Garou's afterimages and knocked him away. Fought waves of Black Sperms and easily took out many of them. Intercepted Evil Natural Water's jets before Atomic Samurai could)
Lifting Strength: At least Class M, likely far higher (Stronger than Carnage Kabuto. Darkshine's strength reached a point where it could no longer be quantified in numbers) | At least Class T (Warmed up by squatting a car. Darkshine's muscle-building is superior to Puri-Puri Prisoner and Tanktop Master)
Striking Strength: Multi-Continent Class | Planet Class
Durability: Multi-Continent level (Withstood attacks from Carnage Kabuto for 15 minutes) | Planet level (Totally unharmed by Bug God's attacks. No-sold Garou's attacks. Evil Natural Water's water jets were like a shower to Darkshine. Black Sperm can't even dent him)
Stamina: Superhuman (Wasn't remotely tired throughout the raid on the Monster Association where he fought several enemies, including Bug God, Garou, Psykos, Evil Natural Water, Black Sperm, and Vomited Fuhrer Ugly, although a bunch of the fights were brief. Fought Carnage Kabuto for 15 minutes straight in the Virtual Genocide System. The Hero Encyclopedia has his stamina maxed out[1], which is higher than heroes like Tanktop Master, Metal Bat, and Genos)
Range: Standard melee range
Standard Equipment: None
Intelligence: Above Average (While Darkshine's intelligence isn't ranked very high in the Hero Encyclopedia, it's still higher than Metal Bat's[1] He knew how to build his body and muscles to be exceptionally powerful, and showed some level of understanding of the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, critiquing Garou's while comparing it to what he experienced sparring Bang)
Weaknesses: Darkshine is afraid of fights whose outcome he can't control. He panics and loses to will the fight if he somehow loses his shine, such as when Vomited Fuhrer Ugly's acid scarred his skin.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Superalloy Bazooka: One of Darkshine's signature techniques. In the fight with Garou, it was shown to signify the use of his full power. Simple and effective, he rockets his fist forward, hitting his opponent with a powerful punch.
- Superalloy Double Bazooka: Darkshine uses both arms to hit two Superalloy Bazookas at the same time. He used this as a desperate attack on Garou, and later in a clash with Vomited Fuhrer Ugly.
- Superalloy Missile: An airborne attack where Darkshine launches himself at his opponent, blasting them with a downwards kick. This was his move of choice against Psykos and Orochi's jet form, powerful enough to render the Monster King's body useless.
