In the past, we have encouraged users to create new pages for powers and abilities they thought the wiki lacked. However, as of now, we want new pages to be approved by the staff, meaning that new powers and abilities pages must be suggested. This can be done in our official Discord server in the suggestion channel, or messaged to a staff member. Of course, users can always create blogs about powers and abilities to include in their profiles if they don't want to attempt creating official pages. If it wasn't obvious, I am Overseer-A, or 'Stretch'. Leader of The M.E.G. Overseers. After nine years of exploration, discoveries, and courage. We have became the largest group in The Backrooms. With many teams by our side. We have, and we will continue to make The Backrooms safe for all Wanderers, and eventually find an escape. Exploration of the unknown is in our roots. Summary[]

The M.E.G. or Major Explorer Group is the largest faction that exists in the Backrooms. Created and led by Team Overseer, a group of three people who fell into the Backrooms in 2012 and formed the M.E.G. to aid anyone who fell into the Backrooms and eventually find a way to escape. Starting as a single exploration outpost in 2012, the M.E.G. would grow into an effective military government 2 years later.

Technology/Abilities:

Can store lightning in bottles, black lightning prioritizes conducting through living beings and has been reported to randomly explode, red almond water boosts the drinker's immune system and can treat otherwise untreatable diseases, blue almond water can cause increased drowsiness, block external influence on the human psyche, interrupt and even reverse the Wretched Cycle and help wanderers manage anxiety, depression and ADHD, industrial flamethrowers and Explosives, when thrown, small firesalt crystals shatter and generate large amounts of heat and light that can give humans first and second degree burns on impact, with larger firesalt crystals or manufactured ingots exploding in a manner similar to TNT. Deuclidators warp the area up to 50 meters around them by generating immense gravitational force, with proper use being capable of warping enemies into the air or into the ground or warping the user. Reality Fresheners nullify the effects of entities and objects that don't abide by the rules of reality, causing anomalous objects to either cease functioning or work to a lesser degree, and stunning entities, leaving them distressed and confused and unable to move properly. Wanderers can consume various anomalous candies to achieve certain effects; Consuming "silver tongues" makes the user slightly more persuasive than otherwise, "biting bullets" leaves the user without any sense of touch, though they can still feel pain, "guns" turn the user's hands into working guns that fire chocolate bullets, "flat stanleys" turn the user and all items on their person 2-dimensional, and "hazardous waste" makes the user's saliva corrosive. Can store the memories of the deceased in memory jars. Lamps are sentient lamps that follow wanderers around to illuminate their path and can create bright lights to blind foes. Liquid Silence can induce spontaneous and extreme fear in anyone in a thirty meter radius and absorb sound and contain it in pocket dimensions that exist in each particle of the liquid, with application of 1 volt or more of electricity causing all of the absorbed sound to be released in a matter of microseconds. Liquid Silence can be mixed with other substances to create silent versions, such as silent shoes and gloves to make sneaking through loud enviornments or handling loud objects nearly soundless and even silent weaponry like crowbars and guns. Squirt Guns are anomalous water guns capable of storing various liquids, with Pyroil fired from the gun igniting on contact with a target and cashew water having its potency increased. Rixas gas is red gas that seeks sources of heat and, upon being inhaled, causes humans to instantly fall to a far more rapid variation of the Wretched Cycle, causing grapid loss of muscle tissue, flaking of skin and rapid blood loss from bodily orifices. Cashew Water on contact with a human causes numbness in the area followed by Extreme pain, with consumption of cashew water leading to a rapid deterioration of the consumer's mental state that often leads to them turning into Wretches. Wayback Machines can show what items were like in the past and revert them to a past state. Babel Balm grants effective omnilinguism. Marshmallow Crunches upon being consumed cause the user to have no need for sleep or rest and allow extended periods of physical strain. Luck flavoured Lucky O' Milk when heated and luck flavoured Lucky Bars consumed when the candy is hard grant the user greatly increased luck that can allow wanderers to escape entities or situation they wouldn't otherwise. Can test objects and foodstuffs for biological contamination/high microbial count with "Red Light White Light."

Tarot Decks can be used once every 48 hours, upon which the cards will take 15 seconds to shuffle and a wandere can take a card from the top of the deck, and depending on the drawn card and its orientation, one of the following effects will occur upon the card being read aloud:

The Fool transports the user to whichever entrance of the level they used. The Magician will greatly increase the user's sense of skillfulness and clearness in their thought, leaving them more crafty and resourceful. The High Priestess will make the user rely far more on survival instinct over rational thought, though their instincts will be sharpened to the point that they can slightly see into the future. The Empress will cause the user to

The Fool will greatly reduce the user's dexterity. The Magician will cause the user to hallucinate entities. The High Priestess will induce extreme paranoia into the user, to the point that they constantly believe they are about to be killed by an entity.

Attack Potency: Unknown, likely Human level (The exact level of strength of most members of the M.E.G. is unknown, with most of them being normal humans), possibly Wall level for most Wanderers (Average wanderers seem to be at least slightly capable of harming some of the entities that inhabit the Backrooms, such as Wretches, that can be strong enough to smash through walls. M.E.G. agents are noted to undergo at least some level of training), Wall level to Building level with weaponry (Weapons can harm the common entities of the Backrooms, the M.E.G. has used industrial flamethrowers and explosives, which are this level, a common weapon of choice used by the M.E.G. is firesalt, just 100 grams of which is said to generate an explosion equal to half a stick of dynamite, or 500 kilojoules. Smile Canisters at full capacity of liquid silence produce explosions equivalent to 1 ton of TNT), Wall level to Small Building level+ to Large Building level with Bottled Lightning (Artificial Lightning was measured to contain 100,000 joules of energy. Blue Lightning, the most common natural variant of bottled lightning, is estimated to contain one billion joules of energy. (0.23901 Tons of TNT) and destroyed a wattmeter that could withstand the power of artificial lightning used to attempt to measure it. Black Lightning, a much rarer variant, is estimated to contain ten times as much energy (2.39006 Tons of TNT)), Outerverse level with Temporal Apotheosis (Is in possession of Object 95, a stopwatch that merges different versions of the Backrooms when the counter in its battery display reaches 0, though the MEG has no control over this object or its abilities and the length of this countdown is random and can vary from minutes to weeks)

Power Source: Artificial Lightning, gasoline, pyroil (Melted firesalt crystals able to burn efficiently even in low oxygen enviornments and cooled to create firesalt ingots)

Industrial Capacity: The M.E.G. can readily produce bottles of artificial lightning and trade with the B.N.T.G. for a steady supply of deuclidators. Small firesalt crystals grow naturally in the first five levels of the Backrooms and can be made into pyroil or larger firesalt ingots. The M.E.G. were sold Lamps in bulk by Backrooms Robotics and they were plentiful enough that the M.E.G. could provide one to every single one of its members, though they have stopped using and purchasing Lamps and have gotten rid of the ones they already had. Red Light White Light is also purchased in bulk from Backrooms Robotics and the M.E.G. still uses them. Lucky O' Milk can be obtained in large quantities at no risk in Level 4

Weaknesses: Noclipping is normally random and can't be done on command (Though the M.E.G is noted to have instructions on how to no-clip, meaning they likely can do so), long term abuse of colored almond water variants by Wanderers can lead to various negative effects. Abusing green almond water can cause insomnia, drowsiness, fatigue, lowered attention span, impaired cardiac activity and addiction. Abusing red almond water can lead to infections, pneumonia and potentially even cancer. Abusing blue almond water can lead to vision impairment, muscle weakness and permanent reliance. Black lightning is unstable and dangerous to carry as it can explode randomly at any time. Overuse of deuclidators can cause melancholy and nausea in the user. Reality fresheners can cause some of the M.E.G's other anomalous equipment to cease functioning in their vicinity. Hazardous waste doesn't offer the user any resistance to the corrosive spit it causes, and as such use of the candy damages the user's mouth. The fear inducing effects of Liquid Silence apply to anything that enters its radius, including M.E.G. members. Luck flavoured Lucky O' Milk when cold and luck flavoured Lucky Bars when soft cause bad luck instead of good luck. Tarot Decks will burst into flames if a card isn't picked after 20 seconds and could potentially have negative effects, though they can be avoided by turning the card before reading it, which will cancel out any anomalous effects and cause the deck to go inert for 48 hours like normal.
