Summary[]
The Prototype, otherwise known as Experiment 1006 or the Claw, is the main antagonist of Poppy Playtime. He made his debut in Chapter 1: "A Tight Squeeze" as the topic of a VHS tape conjecturally known as the "Final Log." He made his first physical appearance in Chapter 2: "Fly in a Web" and is also featured in Chapter 3: "Deep Sleep" and Chapter 4: "Safe Haven". The voice that directs Huggy Wuggy in PROJECT: PLAYTIME is thought to be The Prototype.
Cunning, intelligent, and violent, The Prototype was Playtime Co.'s 1006th experiment under the designation of Experiment 1006 "The Prototype", or simply Experiment 1006. Dr. Harley Sawyer believed that there was an invaluable secret within him, and was determined to uncover it. He was the orchestrator of The Hour of Joy, an event that happened at the Playtime Co. toy factory in 1995 that saw the death of countless employees and visitors at the hands of many of the company's experiments. After the fact, The Prototype used Ollie as a false identity to deceive Poppy Playtime, who he wished to reconfine within her case after she was released from the latter by The Player. He also teamed up with Sawyer in order to uncover a secret, speculated to be the same secret that Sawyer himself was trying to uncover through The Prototype.
