~ Vox upon his first appearence[1] |
Summary[]
Vox is a secondary antagonist in the Hazbin Hotel[3] series. His powers are mostly based on electricity and technology as he owns Voxtek[1] which is a technology company that produces most of Hell's Technology[1]. Not much is known as his past life as a human but from what was confirmed, he was stated to have died somewhere in the 1950s making his stay in Hell shorter than Alastor's.
Vox also has an extremely hostile relationship with Alastor. Once Vox discovered the return of Alastor, he immediately set off to ensure no deal was ever struck between Charlie and Alastor.
Powers and Stats[]
Tier: At least 8-B, likely High 7-A with Electricity Manipulation
Name: Vox[3]
Origin: Hazbin Hotel[3]
Gender: Male[3]
Age: At least 60 years old (Died in the 1950s[4])
Classification: TV Demon,[3] Business Owner, Overlord[3], Sinner[3]
Powers and Abilities:
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Genius Intelligence
- Immortality (Types 1, 2, 3 & 7; Sinners have already experienced death, making them effectively undead.[3] Sinners are eternally youthful[5] and "extra resilient", which allows them to survive being beaten, crushed, and shot,[6] with only angelic weapons being capable of truly killing a demon[7])
- Regeneration (Low-Mid, Low-High over time; Sinners possess the ability to regenerate lost limbs,[8] albeit very painfully, and can return to a healthy state after being completely crushed, as suggested by a demon who was squashed by a boulder[9] and was confirmed to have survived and recovered. Sinners were implied to be capable of being able to come back from being eaten by cannibals,[10] multiple[3] times[11])
- Empowerment & Limited Soul Manipulation & Limited Chain Manipulation (Overlords gain power by[12] owning[13] souls,[14] which can be done by having sinners sign away their souls either via contract or deals, [13] which makes them capable of ripping their soul apart and summonning the leash around their neck[14] or other parts of their bodiesin different ways[13] whenever they desire)
- Transformation (Demons possess a true form which they can enter during a fit of extreme rage or during combat.[15] Typically, these transformations heavily alter one's bodily proportions and shape, increasing their height and length of their appendages,[16] the sharpness of their claws or teeth,[17] or completely transform them into a monster,[18] while others merely make the demon appear more malicious without much of a modification. Some exceptions, such as Charlie, can enter and exit their true form at will,[15] usually as an intimidation tactic. Demons are also capable of blending into the living world by disguising themselves as humans[19] near-instantaneously[20][21] and return to normal even faster.[22])
- Electricity Manipulation (Vox is seen emitting electricity through this scene[1][2])
- Absorption (As a result of Alastor's ceaseless insults, Vox had a meltdown which resulted in a massive blackout that wiped almost all the power in Pentagram City with one of the only remaining sources of light being the Hazbin Hotel, and he either absorped that energy or the electricity went through him, judging from the scene[1])
- Broadway Force
- Technology Manipulation (Showcased here, Vox can control the channels of TVs, travel through technology, see and hear through technology, and remotely control all of his technology in his studio[1][2])
- Duplication (Can create multiple clones of himself.[1] Was around the other Vs in the hall despite being supposed to be in his station so all the wires are connected to him[1])
- Cloth Manipulation (Can put different clothes onto himself[1])
- Enhanced Senses (Vox's head can take calls from others, allowing him to hear them through their phones.[1] Vox can see and hear through all of his technology[1])
- Bodily Weaponry (Vox's fingers were sharp enough to carve into a table making them dangerous weapons[1])
- Mind Manipulation (Hypnotized the crowd of reporters with his Hypnosis Eye[1])
- Pseudo-Teleportation (Vox is capable of teleporting by turning into Electricity and then travelling through Technology[1][13])
- Sound Manipulation (Capable of emitting sounds from shows such as prize rings at times[1], Vox can receive audio from technology and project it to his technology)
- Limited Social Influencing (Is seemingly good at calming those who are enraged, as he was tamed sharks and pacified Valentino during a violent tantrum. However, he also seems to rely on his mind control and brainwashing to influence his customers, and Alastor easily makes a fool of Vox and takes his audience away from him.)
- Cyborgism (Vox's head is a screen[3][1][13][2])
- Preparation (Vox can use drones to spy on others, and can make weapons and technology with the aid of other Overlords, although this is not combat-applicable without prep time and outside help[1])
- Immortality (Types 1, 2, 3, and 5) and Regeneration (Mid) via Angelic Weapons (Implied in the second episode that Vox can easily obtain Angelic Weapons through Carmilla Carmine[1])
- Resistance to Electricity Manipulation (As a result of Alastor's ceaseless insults, Vox had a meltdown which resulted in a massive blackout that wiped almost all the power in Pentagram City with one of the only remaining sources of light being the Hazbin Hotel, and he either absorped that energy or the electricity went through him, judging from the scene, but despite this he was completely unbothered by this electricity going through his body[1])
- Limited Resistance to Biological Manipulation (Demons are seemingly unaffected by the mutagenic effects of Beelzejuice, which mutated a catfish[23] into a giant, demonic, monster,[24] to the point where they can become addicted to the drink[25] [as seen with Verosika Mayday] without suffering any adverse effects.)
- Unconventional Resistance to Disease Manipulation & Poison Manipulation (Demons can be affected by poisons, venoms, drugs, etc.[26]; although, the effects are mitigated to a degree. Along with that, they can still contract diseases and illnesses,[27] such as the flu. However, they cannot perish from these ailments as a result of their immortality, only making their lives more miserable until they fully recover)
- Possibly Much More (Sinners typically take on the appearances and traits of animals after death,[28] examples being Angel Dust and Sir Pentious possessing dangerous venoms[29] [traits of spiders and snakes, respectively] and Mrs. Mayberry adopting the traits of a goat.[30] Was described as "all-powerful" by his character bio)
Attack Potency: At least City Block level[Statistics Value 1] (As one of the many Overlords of Hell, he is much stronger than Sinners such as the likes of Sir Pentious, especially since the latter referred to the Vs as "all-mighty" and desperately wanted to be accepted as one of them, and Vox is part of the Vs), likely Large Mountain level[Statistics Value 2] with Electricity Manipulation (Can emit electricity,[1] meaning that he should likely be capable of emitting electricity he had absorbed[1] for combat purposes)
Speed: At least Hypersonic+ (Superior to likes of Blitzo)
Lifting Strength: Class M[Statistics Value 3] (Should be massively superior to IMPs such as Striker)
Striking Strength: At least City Block level[Statistics Value 1] (Is part of the Vs and thus should be superior to the likes of Sir Pentious, since the latter referred to the Vs as "all-mighty" and desperately wanted to be accepted as one of them)
Durability: Large Mountain level[Statistics Value 2] (As a result of Alastor's ceaseless insults, Vox had a meltdown which resulted in a massive blackout that wiped almost all the power in Pentagram City with one of the only remaining sources of light being the Hazbin Hotel, and he either absorped that energy or the electricity went through him, judging from the scene, but despite this he was completely unbothered by this electricity going through his body[1])
Stamina: Superhuman (Should be superior to the likes of Blitzo)
Range: At least Kilometers (He spreads his influence through Technology produced by Voxtek[1])
Standard Equipment: Voxtek Spy Drones[1]
Intelligence: Genius (Vox still controls all the TVs in Hell and is stated to constantly change his format[1], Vox not only controls all of Hell's TVs, he also is the CEO of a tech company called Voxtek and he creates much more than TVs and he produces technology like phones, spy drones, watches, and more which allow him to spy on Hell's sinners[1]. A picture in Valentino's room shows Vox's head with an older TV model rather than a flat screen meaning that he could rebuild his head to match the future while Alastor stayed in the past with Radio[1]. Stated by Vivenne Medrano that Vox is very charismatic and manipulative[31])
