Summary[]
Zeus was the king of gods on Mount Olympus and the creator of mankind and amazons in the DC Extended Universe.
After ruling Earth since the dawn of time, Zeus created the human race to rule over. Thousands of years ago, the extradimensional Apokoliptian war lord known as Uxas came down to the planet to conquer it and obtain the Anti Life Equation. Zeus lead his son Ares and Artemis into battle alongside the mortal people to repel the assault and send the invaders back into the stars.
Some time later, out of jealousy, Ares tried to destroy mankind. When the amazons interfeered, Ares and the humans he controlled enslaved them. Rushing to the amazons' defense, the olympians were slaughtered by Ares until only Zeus remained. Father and son battled until Zeus struck Ares with a blast so powerful that Ares was grievely wounded and left weakened. Zeus died shortly after because of the wounds inflicted by his son, but not before creating his daughter, Diana of Themyscira, so that she could one day defeat Ares and prevent him from eradicating humanity.
